CANCELLED DUE TO PERSONAL REASONS
This project is a small scale story me and my friend are currently writing. It is a work in progress, so far only one chapter is finished.
Following up on this project in the future is likely but not guaranteed.
Professional quality is not required, but clean audio quality would be appreciated.
A good deal of the roles feature swearing in their lines, so being okay with swearing is preferred.
The voices are pretty much up to you and how you imagine them sounding based on their sprites and short descriptions, but I will reach out to you if I would change something about them.
SETTING:
Story takes place in a school from the Hope's Peak chain, this chapter in particular covers the top two floors - a dorm section with a cafeteria and laundry room on the highest floor, a school section on the floor below, having standard classrooms, a library and archive.
CAST:
We tried to write as many different characters for this story and ended up with 18, which is just above the standard 18 but we just had too much fun creating OCs together. Some characters may feel like standard story tropes but we tried to give every single one at least a little unique personality. The story also follows a two protagonist format between Anshan and Yama, with them switching lead roles every class trial, starting with Anshan in CH.1. The characters have their own original talents not seen in the main games, with Ichika serving as the classic Lucky Student.
STORY:
We decided to stick to a standard DG setting, with the Ultimates being trapped in a school and having to get away with a murder to escape. Chapter 1 is basically the get-to-know chapter, where the characters just get used to each other and the environment. This chapter ends in a pretty simple case on the first glance, but we have an overarching plot prepared to reveal its significance in all the cases later in the story.

Now, time for some more progress updates from our side:
1) The class trial section has been revisited and rewritten to feel and flow better, as well as generally making lines sound more natural. At this point the debate part is ready to be presented and turned into scripts for everyone! The post trial part that we wish to include is still being worked on.
2) The discord server I mentioned in the last update is under way, and it should be ready sometime this month (I know that sounds like a big timeframe but we are busy even outside of just dealing with this project, hope you understand!!) Once that is done, I wish to invite all the VAs and perhaps some active community members here, and actually get to work!
3) You may have noticed that a sprite artist role has recently been added to the roster. This decision was ultimately made to lift some of the responsibility and workload from our shoulders, we might end up getting someone for backgrounds as well eventually. Not much of an update and more of an invite for anyone who is a good artist willing to lend a hand!!

Hello everyone, thank you for all the amazing submissions so far!
I figured I would do a little update to 1) kind of set a plan for the future and 2) as a way to thank every sinlge one of you who auditioned for any role so far, you guys have awesome voices and great talent!
The project is still in casting phase and will stay like this for a while, but we are actively reviewing all submissions and we were able to pick out a few voices that we will likely end up using in thr final cut. Don't take this as us telling you to not audition though, we are still looking for talents we could assign these roles to!
In the background we are trying to rewrite sections from chapter 1 to be a little more voice actor-friendly, as well as just generally polishing out the text.
For the future, we plan on starting a discord server to coordinate all the voices in an easier and more accessible way, because we will need the lines to flow smoothly, as well as possibly opening it up to the public so followers would have a chance to talk with all crew, both us creators and the amazing voices.
On this note we also plan on advertizing on other social media to help hype up the project a little and get a greater following, both for the general knowledge of Danganronpa 4.0 and its existence and also because we believe this general knowledge will lead to some sort of greater security of the project to avoid potential issues.

his voice is mid to deep, tries to stay optimistic
He is the typical protagonist guy with a little deeper voice, tries to be friends with everyone, stays calm in most situations. He always tries resolving arguments with talking instead of fighting. He cares deeply for his friends and is very emotional if something happens to them. Otherwise he is an average person, not much different from lets say Makoto Naegi or someone like that.
(casual) The name’s Yama, Yama Ganjo. Pleased to meet you, too.
(worried) That’s righ- Waitwaitwait, what do you mean "also"?!
(heartbroken) Why Ichika… I-I can’t believe it… I… How?
Classic Monokuma, not many behaviour changes from the original, but in general with a new mastermind this monokuma is a little more extreme in some scenarios
This voice can be handled by my friend helping with this project if necessary but actual submissions are more than welcome

his voice is mid-toned leaning towards a higher pitch, somewhat airy voice
He can and will talk shit about you if you get him mad. Generally outgoing except he doesn't talk loud and mumbles so he seems antisocial. He is also a master deciever i would say and you never really know what he up to, but he doesnt really cause harm. Works well under pressure. Other than that he's more on the pessimist side of thinking, but he has his moments especially if he is proved right about something when he gets all smug.

her voice is mid to high pitch, noticeable traces of sass and sarcasm
Jikken is the typical smart girl like i would compare her personality to that of Byakuya.
Anyways she is not really outgoing, has critical thinking skills and generally a great problem solver. She won't talk unless she's in a comfortable mindset, but she loves making sarcastic remarks. She is also sassy and kind of acts superior to others, especially ones not so smart as her.
(sarcasm) Oh? So now 18 people just casually collectively forgot the exact same thing. Yeah right, whatever you say.

Your typical girly girl. She knows about all the stuff happening around and knows all of the latest rumors. She is very lively but also extremely easily scared and made uncomfortable/distressed. You are done for if you talk bad about one of her friends, she wont let you have it.

He believes in strength over everything else. Haisuke doesnt really put much faith in women and often makes jokes and dumb comments towards them. He is kind of childish in a sense that he will get really mad if you argue with him and he will not hesitate to throw hands. Basically the strong, angry and kind of dumb character.
(annoyed) How about you idiots stop it with your nonsense and help me beat up this dumb bear?! Come on, man up a little.
(raging) HEY! THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?! LET GO OF ME DUDE!

Takuya is a very powerful character, he is able to make great speeches that tend to rally up masses and follow his lead. He is very confident in his leadership abilities and puts his revolution ideologies above all else. Very lively and passionate about what he does, but he gets very heated when faced with opposing ideologies.

Somewhat of a counterweight to Takuya in a way. Erik is a great leader as well, however he does it more for his own benefit than the benefit of the public. He is somewhat cold and logical and because of his royal upbringing he follows strict routines. He tries to be the voice of reason in chaos, but most of the time ends up getting tangled up in an argument.

his voice is high pitched, quiet and a little whiny (not in a bratty way)
The shy kid archetype. Tsuiho is easily scared, very sheepish and he stutters when talking. If you raise your voice even a little bit he will probably cry. He is easily influenced as he is scared of the consequences of denying, and he will not voice his own opinion unless he is absolutely sure its safe. His spiders are his only real friends to him.

The annual lucky student that gets chosen into the school by random. Ichika is very aware of her situation and constantly puts others way above her because she is a nobody, to her luck is not a talent and she doesnt belong here. Ichika lacks confidence and most of the time she acts pretty indifferent about everything, because nobody would want to listen to a random nobody as she thinks.
(indifferent) I’m Ichika Yoshida. It’s no wonder you don’t know my talent. I’m simply an Ultimate Lucky Student…

his voice is low pitched, sweet and calm, carries some power, don't mind the fact he is Canadian, an accent is not necessary for this role
Mr. nice guy. He will resolve everything peacefully, even if the peaceful way involves literally dragging someone out of the room to end an argument. It is basically impossible to get Noah worked up, he takes life for what it is and is grateful for everything regardless of how bad things are. That doesnt mean that he isnt scared and doesnt want to escape this scenario though. He is basically the cuddly bear archetype.

Isamu is just a bundle of contained energy. He is constantly running everywhere, jumping around, anything to get this excess energy out. He is not one of the smarter people among this group, and can be seen as annoying with his lack of attention span and stupid questions because he doesnt understand the situation.

his voice is mid-toned, little airy and lost in thought, hints of insanity and instability can be heard in his voice
The expressive character of Fukon, also known as "Werther" as he refers to himself. This troubled artist longs for love but in a weird way, he wishes to be rejected by his true love to truly feel the romantism inside him. He behaves like an average romantism novel character as well, spending nights alone, pondering. Overall extremely enigmatic and controversial, for his view of the world is bent beyond norms. His manner of speech is expressionate and emotional, with drawn out breaths and many sighs, as if all he says is a beautiful poem. Werther falls in the "antagonistic" category like Nagito, serving as a stress factor and a hindrance during trials for the others.

Mina is a bundle of mysteries. The observing figure in the back of the group, blending into the shadows just watching. Not even their gender is a known fact, let alone their talent. Mina prefers to stay silent, but if asked they will answer with short and to the point answers, not giving away more information than necessary.
(indifferent) This is not esoteric. I mean what I say and I say what I mean…

her voice is mid-toned leaning towards a lower pitch, full of energy and temper
She is what could be called a feminist, but its more of a response to Haisuke and his teasing/aggression towards women. She feels like she has to be a leader for her fellow girls and show everyone they can stand up for themselves. She is very competitive and easily loses her temper, she doesnt shy away from swearing and just in general voicing her opinion straight up how it is, no sugarcoating.
(denial) … No this is a prank, ain’t no way this is fucking real.
(sacrasm/annoyed) Yeah right, our fault, not yours. Get your head out of your ass.

Despite being a performance artist, Katsu prefers to stay lowkey in most scenarios. She goes all on her own and doesnt rely on anyone else. She knows many a secret that she will not hesitate to reveal to gain an advantage, but nobody knows where she gets the intel from. Just like Mina, Katsu is very straight to the point, but she has knowledge of arts and language which helps her communicate with complicated fellows such as Fukon with ease.
(unsurprised) Figured you'd get involved in every little disagreement.

her voice is mid-toned leaning towards a higher pitch, sarcastic tone
This cryptologist is a cold and logical thinker. She also doesnt shy away from sarcasm and criticizing others if she deems it appropriate to mention. Akari doesnt get along with other much because of this, but the girls took her into their group so she wouldnt feel left out, for which she is grateful but doesnt project it much.
(annoyed) Hey, if you want to debate, then at least don’t pull everyone into it. We have better things to do.

Gentaro sees life as a whole as one grand chess game. His every move is calculated and his brain is constantly going through all the different possible scenarios that his actions could lead to. His thinking is very logical and he loves to take things systematically, though he is somewhat reserved and antisocial.
