D-Bug is one of the side characters (who later on becomes more relevant) within the Datamined series. D-Bug is just a show-name when he’s in the Deep Dark Web…his real name is unknown. D-Bug is a “influencer” that moreso takes videos of netizens to make fun of them for clout. This is because he believes he can’t get into any real consequences in the Deep Dark Web. So basically…he’s a proud asshole. Until he gets a wake up call from another infuriating vocalist named Pixel…who he laters has to teak up with for a bigger project.
Important thing to note about the voice direction: D-Bug does NOT have a nasally kind of voice. He’s a loser…BUT…he sounds like an egotistical professional when he talks.
FIRST LINE FOR THE AUDITION: D-Bug is talking to a character who lost a fight to another netizen on camera (that he recorded himself). He’s supposed to sound a bit like a know-it-all here. He’s smirking while show the character his phone here…trying to make the other character sound weak.
SECOND LINE FOR THE AUDITION: D-Bug is arguing with Pixel’s manager, named Tex, who claims that D-Bug won’t get far with what he’s doing with content. For once in his life…D-Bug is getting fairly irritated with someone else. He’s supposed to sound increasingly annoyed yet embarrassed for this line.
THIRD LINE FOR THE AUDITION: D-Bug has found out Pixel uses an A.I. voice for her songs. Before he exposes it to the DDW…he’s warning her to stop lying about it. This is one of the rare times he’s been fairly serious about something. He’s supposed to sound silent yet intimidating a bit here.
