Project Overview
Welcome to yet another Cornflakes Season 2 casting call!
This show is one big character study with many different characters and stories. I've taken a nearly 3 year break from making episodes in order to actually take the show seriously and write out the rest of the show and make it less of a series of skits into a actual, respectable series.
Latest episode was also written 3 years ago, just didn't get to animating it until recently. So whats available on YouTube right now will give you a decent idea of the show, but will pale in comparison to the rest of the show.
I do want to say sorry that the pay isnt higher overall, this is all funded out of pocket, theres only so much I can do.
I don't have much else to say so lets get to business!
PLEASE THOUROUGLY read through your roles description.
I am limiting auditions to 4 per person. Please do not apply to every single role. The Miscellaneous auditions are a freebee though.
You *MUST* have a Discord and leave your username with your submission.
THIS IS A REQUIREMENT
Everything happens and get communicated through there. If you dont have one, make an account, otherwise you will not be considered for the role.
We need commitment! This is all funded out of pocket and theres only so many animators I can afford, things will take time, a LOT of time. So being on this show will be a long-term commitment that will last years. The show is slated for 4, 12 episode seasons and we're currently making season 2, episode 5.
This one is mostly for smaller roles within the show, unless the character description says otherwise.
One big thing that needs to be addressed is even though this is a animated show I want more natural/realistic tones of voices instead of exaggerated animated ones, this is a artistic choice and I implore you to find a healthy in-between.
This show is about the characters first and foremost, to be considered a high quality microphone and a decent acting range emotionally is needed for any role.
ROLES
If a role has (Cf) next to its name its a important character role. So the standard will be much higher as opposed to every other role. This is because these roles are very sensitive to any episode they're in overall and requires extra stuff. What those requirements are will be explained in those roles descriptions.
SINGING/MUSIC ROLES
Songs are always very different, song small or big, funny or serious. Lots of variety. The price isnt 100% firm and can be discussed when making a new song. Each song is different and its important to me that you're properly compensated for your efforts.
We are looking to hire multiple people for the Song Writer, Singer, and Musicians. You are not expected to cover EVERY genre we need, if youre good at just one of the genres thats a-ok. we can get someone else to fill the void.

Middle aged-elderly man's mind inside a robot.
He's one of the villains but is as much of a villain as Doctor Doof. Past all of that he is a deeply emotional and caring person with a lot of inner demons. On his good side he's like a very caring father figure to some characters in the show.
You must have or be able to sound 50-60 years old and be able to sing in a Jazz-y style.
Also for the singing line (Line 2) PLEASE use this as reference. Its a piece of the actual song number within the episode you will be singing.

As Milky destroys a minion, SCOUT GASPS. SCOUT "Oh no! Reginald!" Ginger destroys another and Scout GASPS again. SCOUT (Anguished) "Bartholomew!"
"Gold, gold, gold so shiny and bright. Told its top for bringing heat and light! Gold in the circuits, gold in the coils! Gold makes my juice run hot and boil!" (Other characters sing here.) "Hah! With a snap like that I can take you out! Robots show em' what I'm talkin' about!"
(Genuine) "It sounds like to me, you've been fighting all your life, and youre still who you are." (Getting emotional) "Still the same great person inside." (About to cry) "And I could never be prouder, son."
The MAIN VILLAN of Cornflakes, your typical "I will kill everything" villain that goes directly against the messages and meaning of a in depth character study of a show by being a very evil and flat character.
His character is about how his presence effects everyone in the show.
We need someone that can edit (Autotune?) their own voice to sound very booming, and monstrous like a creature trying to imitate talking. Think of that "I am carnage" voice, and you got it. Specifically THAT scene with how imposing it is, not just the venom voice. But otherwise have creative freedom, do a couple versions if you like.

KING DEMON throws Spookus across the room, our hero’s back hitting the wall with a loud CRACK. KING DEMON "You could’ve had the chance to join me. And yet, here you are - about to die like a dog." King Demon kicks Spookus in the stomach with a GRUNT. KING DEMON "You even yelp like one."
KING DEMON "Just in case..." Dramatic music slowly builds up. KING DEMON (Bold, dramatic) "If he DARES to strike..." Cut to shadow of the Underling working on a SCREAMING Sean. Back to King Demon, zoomed in on his face. KING DEMON "We will bring the APOCALYPSE"
An extremely headstrong and motivated person. Always looking for whats next and how to achieve it. She can be very hard on people but shes the hardest on herself and holds herself to a VERY high standard while giving others the lack she deserves.
This does have the (Cf), thats because this is more of a main side character role that'd appear more often in the show than most other characters in this casting call.

SCRAY (Getting angry) "SPOOKUS, you didnt think how your actions affected HIS LIfE" She gestures to festivus. SCRAY (Cont) "Or anyone elses, but how easily you threw away your own too under it all despite it not being remotely necessary." Spookus falls silent. SCRAY "Do you understand how scary that is? I could wake up one day and find out you got yourself and others KILLED."
Herrend is a young woman who, due to her emotional instability, is unable to form long-term relationships with other people. Whether she's laughing at an unfunny joke or blowing up over a perceived slight, she's a quirky girl who will grow and develop over the series.

Achi is a very awkward and introverted character who is uncomfortable with social situations. Due to her trauma, she relies heavily on Herrend and gets upset when others try to engage with her in social situations. This shut, yet straight-forward gal will one day learn how to make friends... hopefully.

(AGITATED) Look, can you just leave? I'm being serious! *Frustrated laugh* "Youre not leaving me alone! Please! Just go!
A very smart, albeit talkative guy, Arcionek is a new intern analyst for Ralph. Despite being highly intelleigent, his work ethic is lacking and he acts more like a bored minimum wage worker than a dutiful employee.
Will he learn to enjoy his job?

(Monotone Unbothered) "Clean up on floor 3, Ralph made a mess again.."
(Frustrated) No you can't nuke the city for a AI data center, Ralph!
Squi is a very blunt, serious character that acts as the voice o reason when her co-workers or boss makes a mess of things. She knows her worth, and knows that the pay isn't worth it, but she loves her job too much to quit and wants to prove herself.

SQUI SIGHS. SQUI (Tired, annoyed) "I hate this job." LOUD CRASH "I REALLY hate this job"
"Sir, have you looked under your bed?"
SQUI (Stern, annoyed) "Just drop it!" Points to the ground, hand on her hip, like she’s talking to a dog. SQUI "Drop it. Drop it- no! Don’t eat it!"
A cloning experiment gone wrong, Lemon is very literal and straight forward. Over analyses everything and often goes on rambles.
He works for Ralph and is a “yes” man in the most cocky way. He likes to stir the pot when it comes to Ralph’s crazy ideas.

TASTY-LEMON smiles brightly at RALPH. TASTY-LEMON (Excited) "That sounds remarkable!" Tasty-Lemon lets out a small, excited GASP. TASTY-LEMON "But, what if we also explode it?"
TASTY-LEMON "Perhaps we can attempt a rescue?" Tasty-Lemon looks up at Ralph. TASTY-LEMON "Or perhaps we can simply ignore them. Whatever is most desirable to you."
A nonchalant, yet protective guy, he became a theif out of boredom and to vent his anger. He often finds himself questioning his existence, but uses weed as an escape.

DEEP-FRIEND (Aggressive) "You got something to say, punk?" Deep-Fried CRACKS HIS KNUCKLES DEEP-FRIED "‘Cause I’d sure like to hear it."
Arrogant, but well-meaning Raddish is an over excited guy who takes everything competitively. He takes everything in stride and tries his best, despite being unable to work in a team.

RADDISH (Indignant) "NO. I don’t need help." RADDISH tries to open the window, but after some GRUNTS OF EFFORT, he crosses his arms and turns back around. RADDISH "Fine. Maybe you can help."
RADDISH (Indignant) "You know what? I’ll just do it myself!" Raddish SCOFFS. RADDISH "Like you can do anything, anyway!"
Smart, but lazy, Jack-fly is a laid-back rebellious type. He's the head of the Crime Trio with Deep-fried and Raddish, and just wants to be content with life. That is, while he avoids cops.

JACK-FLY "I’m not hiding! I was gonna work. Then I realised, I just didn’t wanna."
Theres LOTS of other characters in this show, most of which will only get a handful of lines throughout the series, and background characters too that might say a couple lines in a episode.
Etc etc
You'll might get a role eventually, from the sheer amount of BG characters but theres always 1 or 2 extra roles in every script that needs to be filled. These small roles will always pay 5$ PER CHARACTER.
So hypothetically you do 3 in 1 ep, thats15$.
This has no audition lines and we'd prefer if you submit your demo reel or just any clip of you voice acting in general. Thank you!

The show's main music genre is Jazz, sometimes stretching into other types of it like Swing.
The show very rarely goes outside of that, so if you can only do jazz thats a-ok!
The pay will be 30$ per minute of music produced, pay can be discussed in dms.
When making the music you'll be given some inspirations, mostly for the mood/intensity of the scene, and be given the full animated episode (Maybe a animated storyboard at times) to reference off of.
You will be expected to do a little bit of "Mickey Mousing", where the music syncs up to the animation. Dosn't have to be synced to every step a character takes like Disney does, but just fit the scene. I hope that makes sense. Outside of that you are given complete creative control to stretch out those creative muscles.

Cornflakes is a partially a juxbox and a normal musical. Some scenes will have a sick-ass rock music playing in the background as the MC's kick ass.
You will be expected to write the song's lyrics too and sing it. Writing and singing it will be a BONUS in your pay ontop of the normal pay for making the music. If you cannot thats perfectly fine, we can have other song writers and singers as you just make the music to go with it!

We're looking for a song writer that can help with silly-goofy song, serious rock songs, mellenconic pop songs, but MOST IMPORTANTLY musical numbers (Where the actual characters are singing.)
If you can only do 1 or 2 YOU CAN STILL AUDITION! Just be sure to say which genre you can/can't do in your submission and we can find someone else to fill that void.
Depending on the song will judge your pay.

If you can only do one or the other, thats okay as we are hiring multiple people for this role.
