CORALPUNK

Project Overview

Set in a cyberpunk world beneath the sea, a crew of rebels must infiltrate a Coralite-only party to get their hands on Inkx, a rare cure to the poison that permeates the city.


Coralpunk is an upcoming animated thesis project/pilot that takes place in an aquatic cyberpunk world. I'm planning to take this series further once I graduate, but in the meantime this will all be for a short film under 10 minutes. Once completed it will be posted to Youtube.

As I'm a student, I can only afford volunteer work at the moment.

I'm currently looking for voicework for 4 characters (all 18+ please! Also a note that I'm prioritizing Ula and Vanora in the meantime, as I'm waiting to hear back from an offsite actress for Tarni. Feel free to still apply for her, but please keep this in mind as well.)

  • Ula is serious, grumpy, and stubborn. After being deeply betrayed and abandoned in her youth, she has trust issues and depends on herself before her teammates.

  • I don't have a set voice in mind for this character, but something mid-range would be preferred.

  • Vanora is gentle, sweet, and worries easily. She's the mechanic and acts like the "mother" of the group. After losing her younger sister to the poison, she vows to make Inkx accessible to everyone.

  • Mid to deep range for her voice, someone who can capture that "nervous mom friend" energy.

  • Tarni is manic, peppy, and the hacker of the group. She grew up as a Coralite and has since joined her crew in taking down the capitalistic hold of Squidcorp.

  • I have two ideas for her voice...either a bit on the higher end to capture that cute, slightly unhinged energy, or something REALLY similar to Jillian Bell's take on Gluntz from Green Eggs and Ham. So very energetic, playful, and rowdy.

  • Cerulean is a cold, calculating asshole who only cares about wealth and power. He's arrogant and views the others as lowly creatures below him.

  • Uncle Ali's take on DJ Subatomic Supernova from No Straight Roads is the ideal voice I'm going for - something smooth, a bit sultry, pompous, and villainous, slightly on the deeper end.

  • An extra take with a light, almost robotic filter to capture the fact that he's wearing a helmet would be awesome if possible! This is something I can always add in later, however.
