Project Overview
PLOT:
Since they were children, Vanessa Redmond and Jade Green had been best friends. However, they have not spoken since Vanessa left for Ireland in fifth grade. Four years have passed and they have forgotten about each other until Vanessa's father is offered a job that requires him to return to Florida. When Vanessa sees the new Jade, how will she adapt? Will they reunite and revive their friendship? Here’s a hint: it’s not even close. (More info is in the characters descriptions!)

Vanessa Redmond is a caring and considerate girl. Although she was born in Florida, the majority of her family comes from Belfast. However, she may be a little melodramatic at times.
[Normal, friendly]: Hi! I’m Vanessa. It’s nice to meet you.
[Shocked, angry]: Jade, Why did you spill your drink on me? I thought we were best friends!
Jade Green is the queen bee of Magnolia High School, as well as Vanessa's ex best friend. She is regarded as a stereotypical mean, entitled girl who will hurt anyone who comes into contact with her boyfriend, Cole Lorenzo.
[Annoyed] : Shut up, Vanessa. Your ghostly-pale skin is giving me a headache!
[Over-dramatic] : This is NOT great, Coley Bear. She’s the creepy girl who wouldn’t stop messaging me!
Cole Lorenzo, Vanessa Redmond's crush and Jade Green's boyfriend. Cole does not bother people the way his girlfriend, Jade Green, does. He was born in the United States and is of Italian descent.
[Normal]: Don’t worry, I don’t think many people would’ve gotten that question right. I’m Cole by the way.
[Angry]: Jade, calm down! What has Vanessa ever done to you?
Amara West, Vanessa’s new friend at Magnolia High. She's reliable, clever, and funny. Hanna Zhang is her best friend. Her parents are both Nigerian, however she was born in the United States.
[Normal]: Hey! I’m Amara West, what’s your name?
[Surprised, shocked]: You used to be best friends with THE Jade Green? Poor you..
Hanna Zhang is Vanessa’s new friend at Magnolia High. She's bubbly, happy, and sweet. Amara West is her closest friend. She was born in China and speaks the language fluently, but she now lives in the United States. (Any accent can do, but a Chinese one would be cool!)
[Normal]: Hi, I’m Hanna Zhang.
[Worried]: Come on guys, let’s leave this mess before anything gets out of hand..
Diana Lopez is a Caribbean-born cheerleader. Anyone who walks past her is drawn to her silky black hair. She is Jade Green’s new best friend, and is a part of the popular clique.
[Normal]: Hi Vanessa, Jade told me to tell you that you should stop flirting with Cole because he loves her—not you.
[Disgusted, talking to Vanessa]: Eww, is that a ginger? Stay away from me!
Hazel Green is Jade’s carefree older sister. She is a Magnolia High student who is nothing like her younger sister. She's defiant, crafty, and won't think twice before spray painting the school.
[Normal]: Wanna help me spray paint the school bathrooms?
Mrs Carpenter is the school’s chemistry teacher. She is fierce, but caring of her students.
Normal]: Good morning, everyone. Mrs Carpenter here, and I'll be your chemistry teacher for the coming year. Is there anyone who knows why the sky is blue?
Madame Juliette is the school’s French teacher, and Jade Green’s worst nightmare. (Any accent can do, but a French one would be cool!)
[Normal]: Bonjour la classe, can we turn to page 72 in our textbooks?
Rowan Redmond is Vanessa’s dad.
[Normal]: Vanessa, how was your first day at school?
