Hello, and thank you for your interest in our casting call! We are so honored and excited you are considering joining us!

A little about us, we are The ComiSquad, a once mildly popular dubbing community and group on YouTube. About 4 years ago, one of our main directors got extremely sick and had to take a break. The group was left in the hands of someone who proved they should not have been trusted, and so to preserve it's integrity, The ComiSquad went on an extended hiatus until the original directors could return healthy, ready, and truly re-dedicate themselves to the channel and group. As of this year, that has finally come true!

The ComiSquad has always prided itself on being more of a family and community than just a dubbing business, just like in the golden days, and the directors are determined to make that happen. However, 3 years is a long time to be gone, and while many of our members came back, we are still needing to bring in some new fresh voices and personalities to help breathe life and activity back into everything.

We are looking for; Voice Actors, Singers, Artists, Audio Mixers, and Video Editors. Yes, you may audition for as many as you like! Although you won't find Audio Mixer and Video Editor auditions here, we much prefer to be a bit more selective and personable with that, but please feel free to tell us if you can do such things.

We will be doing a combination of comic dubbing, fandubbing, music covers, and original stuff, like our original series Chop-Sushi, and our original comic Old Man Avi, as well as some other original comics inspire by existing media like Undertale, Hazbin Hotel, Miraculous Ladybug, and more. We are actually greenlit to do an audiobook of a very popular Legend of Zelda fanfic, Couple of the Wild by Kenlair (link below). On top of that, we will be holding weekly game nights, karaoke nights, and just general shenanigans. So we have a lot of exciting plans.

We also aren't going to be enforcing any super harsh deadlines, as we want to be as flexible with our people as possible while still uploading as frequently as we're able. The important part is that we love what we're doing, and are proud of what we're putting out, instead of just cranking out stuff just to stay relevant.

I can't guarantee we will ever be amazingly popular or famous, but if you work with us a while and ever need a reference, I know we would gladly step up to give you one. The only thing I can guarantee is, it'll be fun, and you will become part of the family as soon as you step a foot in our server. We take care of our own and will throughout life as long as we are permitted, unless we are given a reason not to, which would have to be a pretty serious reason.

  • Auditions Closed

    Thank you to all who auditioned for this amazing project. Please allow us 48-72hrs, that's 2-3 days, to make the final decisions. We will post a cast list in an update here once we decide, as well as in the VAC Server.

    Please remember that to be part of this project, you need to be willing to join the ComiSquad Discord Server. It's not overly populated, and could really use some active chatters, so keep that in mind!

  • Named Role Added

    Hello Everyone! I added a named role to the casting call! It is for the ComiSquad DX's original series. The character has proven to be very difficult to cast snce his last VA's unfortunate dpearture due to life circumstances, so I'm hoping giving him exposure here might find him a great replacement voice. Please give it a shot if you can. Males and Females are encouraged to audition as he doesn't have to be played by a male if you can get his voice right.

This character is from the ComiSquad DX's original series in production called Chop-Sushi. He has proven to be astronomically hard to cast but honestly, there is no real way he can sound different and it make sense.

Alistair here is the young brother of the key main character Nigel Bungard. He is 11-13 years old and a bit of a snot and skirt chaser. He has a twin sister named Tilly, who is really the only person he cares about at first. Alistair practically disowns his brother after he left their family and their family business to pursue his dreams. However, despite this, their father, named Lucian, is determined to make Nigel take over. Alistair wants nothing more than to take over the family business and is bothered and angered by the fact that he wants this so much yet his father can only focus on his older brother.

Alistair would have a medium to medium-high pre-teen voice that will eventually drop through puberty as the story progresses but for now that is where he is at. If I had to subscribe him to a vocal twin, it would be Ciel from Black Butler, but a tiny bit more mature. Reference below.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in joining our little group!

This audition is just to fill out the general voice cast we will pull from to do projects with. Our plan is to get to know everyone's voices and then disperse work evenly among everyone so no one is feeling left out or on the sidelines for long. As for the audition itself, it's very easy. While stated in the audition lines, I'll also tell you here.

First: We want to know about you, and who you are. Tell us anything you are comfortable with sharing! Our group is more like a family than anything, as such, we care about you as an individual, just not what you can do for us.

Second: Then we want to gauge your availability (See the list below for exact details we're wanting you to state), as well as learn why you want to join and if there are any expectation you have for us as your directors. It's okay to have expectations of those "in charge", and we are a very feedback heavy group. We want to be good directors to you and for you, so let us know what you'd like if anything.

Third: Show us what your voice can do! We want to hear your range, from many different emotions, to the type of voices you can do be it heroic, shouta, loli, cutesy, serious, mature, gravelly, old, etc., as well as any impressions of any currently existing characters from your favorites games, shows, and movies. All we ask, is if you're doing an impression, take a short few seconds to tell us who the character is and what they are from before you do the impression. We are looking to do primarily Undertale, Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss, if that helps you at all, but we will be branching out from there.

Only request, if you are doing an impression of a currently existing character (Goku, Angeldust, Deku, etc.) please just tell us who the character is and what they're from before you do the voice.

This audition is to find some talented singers to aid in our future song covers, both original and non. While not as needed, we still want to see what kind of auditions we can get. I should state though, priority will be given to those who also auditioned for Voice Actor. We don't want to hire too many "singer only" talent as the music we will cover is just a tiny part of our group, and won't be super frequent, and we are wanting to keep our community as small as possible and use everyone as equally as possible.

You can do it a capella or with music, if you do it with music, make sure we can hear you over it. Also, make sure you tell us your song name and who it's by and/or what it's from.
