Cocoa Day - A Fortnite Skit for FortShorts
Project Overview
Hello,
We create short films set in the Fortnite game universe. Our content is rated PG13 and presented in episodes. We aim to make the game's complex story fun and easy to follow.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
This is an emotional, 8-page animated drama centered on two best friends and a heartfelt promise that ultimately goes unfulfilled. Performers must be capable of delivering authentic emotional depth, including the ability to convey grief, tenderness, and—if needed—genuine crying.
Key Considerations you must know before auditioning:
You DON'T need to have any knowledge of Fortnite to audition.
We do NOT use AI and NEVER will!
You'll need a good microphone and quiet recording space. Potential yelling! Your mic must not peak or get distorted!
Meeting deadlines is important. We usually give 3-5 days to do your lines.
While you're not bound by a contract, we hope you'll commit to finishing your role once you start.
Scripts are around 40 pages long (not this one), but characters usually have 2-5 minutes of screen time depending on importance.
We'll credit you in the video description with your preferred name and social media link. And if requested, a recommendation on CCC.
Our seasons typically align with Fortnite’s, lasting around 80 days, during which we aim to release 1-5 videos. However, for this season, we’ll only release one video, with some characters carrying over into the next season, where we hope to release another two videos.
If you enjoy working with us and the final product, we'd love it if you consider auditioning for more roles in the future. This helps us a lot!
Having a Discord account is helpful but not mandatory. We use it for easy communication, but we can also use other methods.
You can contact us through our website, Instagram, Twitter, or Discord.
We look forward to having you on board!

(earnest) It’s not goodbye. It’s see you in five years, same spot, same time, same cocoa. On the dot.
(mocking) Hey, I'm not the forgetful one. But in any case… then you track me down and beat me with that sketchbook.
(emotional) You stupid... (Crying angrily)
Lead Role
Character age: 18
Warm, expressive, and a little impulsive. Leelah leads with her heart — open, sincere, and brimming with affection. Her voice should feel genuine and emotionally transparent, with both charm and gravitas when needed.
Tone: Bright, open-hearted, and hopeful.
Range: High, light
Looking for: Expressive delivery, emotionally present.
Optional voice/character reference: Anna in Frozen, Luz from The Owl House, or Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug
- female teen
- female young adult
(grinning) That's nature, Helley. It's called "fresh air."
(impulsive) Hey. Let’s do something dumb. Like... promise to not talk until then.
(playful) Okay, so... slight hiccup. I couldn’t make it. I got kinda stuck here.
Minor Role
A quietly grieving man with warmth in his voice and heaviness behind his words. Not overly dramatic — instead, his presence should feel real, lived-in, and steady. A calm, gentle delivery with emotional weight.
Tone: Gentle, emotionally grounded
Range: Mid to deep
Looking for: Subtle delivery, quiet grief, comforting presence.
- male adult
(gentle) Halley, Right?
(earnest) She made it before the trip. Just in case she got caught up or couldn’t make it.
