Clash for Harmony: Mid-Season Debut Candidates

Clash for Harmony: Mid-Season Debut Candidates

Project Overview

This casting call is intended to cast voice actors for characters that will have a chance to join Clash for Harmony at the midpoint of the show's run. The characters who join the game will be decided through a public vote on the Harmony Alliance channel.

The fourteen characters who do not join CFH will be allocated to host exit interviews for contestants eliminated after the debut concludes. Any characters on this casting call may also reappear in minor or major roles in CFH or other Harmony Alliance projects.

You may audition for as many characters as you want. Candidates that auditioned for or were cast as main characters in CFH or FATE are still allowed to audition for this casting call (but we will be slightly prioritising candidates who do not have a role yet).

No roles will be cast until the stated deadline on this project page has elapsed. Applications submitted after the deadline are not guaranteed to be considered.

We use a Discord server for voice work production and casting announcements, and as such you are required to have a Discord account to audition. Please include your Discord username in your audition so that I can invite you to the casting server.

(Preferably keep your friend requests open or be on the Casting Call Club Discord server so that I can add you easier.)

Latest Updates

  • Deadline has passed! LATE SUBMISSIONS STILL ACCEPTED

The deadline has passed!! We received 505 auditions, meaning that on average every character received 32 auditions!

I will be going through the auditions and narrowing them down until I'm settled on who I'm casting for each role, but late auditions will still be considered until that specific role has been cast and closed!!

I hope to have your debut scripts out either September or October :3

  • Shortlistings and dismissals update

    Hey, everyone!

There is currently less than a week remaining to audition, and as of the time of writing we have 258 auditions! So, here's how we're gonna do this:

Nobody will be assigned to a role until after the deadline at the earliest. This is to allow everybody a fair chance to audition within the advertised timeframe. I will still be accepting late auditions until I have had a chance to assign the role but am not obligated to wait for anybody in particular to submit a last-minute audition after that point.

I plan on doing a round of shortlistings and dismissals tonight, prioritising the people who auditioned earlier on and working my way up. If you receive a dismissal, it does NOT mean you performed poorly at all, it just means I felt the role would better befit someone else!

  • Thirteen days left!

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to let everybody know that there are LESS THAN TWO WEEKS TO AUDITION!!

  • 100 auditions!

WE HAVE CLEARED 100 SUBMISSIONS IN JUST FIVE DAYS!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Role assigned to: Thomas Murray

Axe is a blunt and rather aggressive person who tends to have little regard for the feelings and/or wellbeing of his peers. He is very strong and actually rather sharp, but is arrogant and often finds himself unwilling to assist others unless it is absolutely necessary.

An ideal voice for Axe should be of a low-to-medium pitch and have a no-nonsense, intimidating tone to it.

Voice description:

  • Don't even bother speaking to me. If you know what's good for you, you'll back off and let me handle this myself.

  • Hey! If you think I'm just gonna sit down and politely let you snatch our trinket, you've got another thing coming! Come and get it!

  • Are you kidding me? Lantern is *the* most obvious target tonight! H-How is this even a decision we're struggling with?

Candy is a kind-hearted, bubbly girl who always wants to look out for everyone and see the sunny side of any and every situation that she may find herself in. However, she also has a discreet mischievous side that may sometimes come to the forefront.

An ideal voice for Candy should be medium-to-high pitched, excitable and sweet, but be able to show a devious undertone.

Voice description:
  • female young adult
  • Awwwww, is this for me? Thank you so much, you're the sweetest! [squeee]

  • C'mon, Lamp, what're you waiting for? There's so many surprises just waiting for us, so let's seize the moment! [giggles]

  • Hehehe.. S-sorry, I couldn't resist having a little fun there!

Role assigned to: Robert Wolff

Casket is an intelligent and devious person who is partial to running campaigns for a variety of tabletop role playing games (TTRPGs). His campaigns are sadistic creations of his highly intricate and cunning mind, specifically designed to force his players to play all of their cards in order to survive the game. Outside of his campaigns, he frequently uses his sharp wit to mastermind complex strategies to sway various situations in his favour.

An ideal voice for Casket should be low-medium pitched and showcase his confident and cunning demeanour, while also being able to talk dramatically in a tone and cadence befitting someone running a Dungeons and Dragons game.

Voice description:
  • male adult
  • I mean... I could swoop in and save you all without breaking a sweat, but where would the fun be in that?

  • "As you tread across the moss-coated tiles of the dungeon, you hear the unmistakeable sounds of a three-headed cerberus, awoken from its slumber and thirsty for blood." Roll for initiative.

  • [smug] Riddle me this, can this *really* be considered cheating if nothing in this 148-page rulebook explicitly forbids it?

Corkboard is a smart and diligent person with a pronounced knack for organisation. They can frequently be seen taking notes and making reminders, and can even pin small items to their face to assist with recall. Their obsession for jotting down as much information as they can has given them a highly astute attention to detail, which may prove to be both beneficial to them and noticeably detrimental to those who oppose them.

Corkboard is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, so a voice of any gender would be acceptable. An ideal voice for them should be of a medium pitch and sound smart and attentive, as if you are carefully taking in every detail of your surroundings.

Voice description:

  • Sorry, I'll be.. busy at that time. I have a meeting at 2:45 and I'm pretty much booked out for the entire day after that..

  • Okay, so, when you look at the game right now, you can clearly delineate it into three sides. We have the people loyal to Axe, the people loyal to Casket.. and this third group of people that aren't exactly on either side.

  • You said that the... fourth floor elevator was undergoing refurbishments? I'm jotting this down right now, so please correct me if there's been a misunderstanding.

Gamble is a trickster who is known for being a total wildcard at what he does. A gambler at heart, he is completely willing to conjure up complicated plans while leaving at least one (or every) aspect of it up to complete chance. Although he doesn't always necessarily get the exact result he wanted, the outcome can still oftentimes be beneficial in ways that wouldn't immediately be apparent on a first impression... which just serves to further enhance the inherent thrill of the game for him.

An ideal voice for him should be of at least medium pitch and should highlight his chaotic, competitive and unpredictable nature.

Voice description:
  • male young adult
  • Tsk, tsk... Are you willing to go all in against me? Or are you too scared you'll bite off more than you can chew?

  • Listen, I have *no* idea how you managed to get yourself roped into this situation... but I think this could be a heck of a fun time. Count me in!

  • [laughs] Heh, JACKPOT! Y'see what happens when you try and challenge me at games of pure chance which, by the way, are probably my #1 specialties in life?

Kettle is a stern and matter-of-fact woman who can be rather adamant about doing things the way that she believes is the "right" way. She's typically driven and authoritarian to a fault, yet is remarkably taciturn towards her maverick peers even when she is receiving absolutely no respect whatsoever for her rather domineering personality.

An ideal voice for Kettle should be low-to-medium pitched and rather calm, aloof and no-nonsense.

Voice description:

  • [exasperated yelling] Yeah, I heard you loud and clear the first seventeen times you told me about the ceiling! Now, zip it and let Satellite deal with it!

Lamp is a kind-hearted and creative individual who suffers from frequent bouts of drowsiness and an inverted circadian rhythm. During the day, he's typically rather exhausted and susceptible to sleep attacks, but this peculiarity can oddly reverse itself in the dead of night. He can be rather optimistic and keen, although his condition frequently likes to stand in the way of that.

An ideal voice for Lamp should be low-medium-pitched and able to express his fatigue. You should also be comfortable with yawning because he does a LOT of it.

Voice description:

  • [yawns heavily] Sorry, I'm just... my eyes are feeling heavy in this darkness, can you pinch me awake?

  • We're not lost, don't worry..! We just gotta follow the constellations and they'll lead us back home... mm...

Mallet is a physically capable woman with an immense amount of strength, but a high level of anxiety when it comes to managing this strength. She is generally a very passive and friendly individual who doesn't want to hurt anyone, and is averse to using her immense physical power unless she's backed into a scenario where she has no other choice.

An ideal voice for Mallet should be medium-to-high pitched and able to express both her kind, anxious persona and the inner strength buried within her that may be brought out in extreme circumstances.

Voice description:

  • How do I manage my strength? That's.. a good question, usually I just.. take deep breaths and... try to sink into my happy place.

  • I-it's okay, I'll protect you! Just.. don't expect me to throw hands with anyone, okay? Unless, you know, I don't have a choice, but let's hope it doesn't come to that...

Peony is a deadpan and somewhat aloof woman who is more of a listener than a talker. Although she's not one for holding petty grudges, she tends to be rather rebellious and aggressive towards her peers and has a strong dislike for conformity, preferring to stand out rather than blend in. Despite these traits, she is highly keen and skilled at observing her peers, and is extremely talented with the drums.

An ideal voice for Peony should be of a medium pitch and have a rebellious and irritable tone of voice.

Voice description:

An ideal voice for Racket should be medium pitched, energetic and confident.

Radio is an enigmatic and impersonal yet generally upbeat person whose knowledge of electronics and communications is second to only their amiable and down-to-earth demeanour that makes them easy to connect with. Although generally rather humble and personable, they have a habit of making slips of the proverbial tongue, not helped by the fact that they sometimes have no indoor voice, meaning that their communication skills can sometimes backfire on them.

An ideal voice for Radio should be medium pitched and rather friendly and impersonal. We may bitcrush Radio's voice lines in videos to fit the electronic vibe (think how ENA's voice is altered).

Radio is genderless and can be played by actors of any gender.

Depending on what direction I want to take the character, multiple people may be cast for this role at once.

  • [news announcery voice] And coming from six o'clock on the horizon, we have... an extremely distressed Peony running towards us with a comically large axe! She looks like she is going to cleave all of us in half!

  • We don't need to worry about being underground. Communication has always been my strong suit... Unless all of the radio towers get taken out by lightning, then it's... Okay, well, it's still my strong suit, it's just harder to use to the fullest in a thunderstorm.

  • Parasol, hold onto this! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT let go of the string until Satellite gives the signal, you got it?

Sachet is a bubbly woman with an eye for high fashion and a penchant for decorating and accessorising herself and anything that she can come across. Highly creative and artistically driven to a fault, Sachet will seize any opportunity she can to take things that she deems plain and add her own special touches to them, sometimes throwing all caution to the wind to express her artistic vision.

An ideal voice for Sachet should be medium-to-high pitched and rather cheerful and excitable. Be able to show a bit of manic energy as well when the scenario calls for it.

Voice description:

  • Waitwaitwait, nononononono, I don't think these patches are waterproof! If I'm out in the rain too long, the ink will leak everywhere!

Although he may come off as too chill for his own good, he's far more introspective and observant than he lets on and has an impressive attention to detail when he really has to play all of his chips.

An ideal voice for Seashell should be of a medium-to-high pitch and with a calm and optimistic tone to it.

Selenite is a generally serious and unfettered woman who rules a faraway land. Due to the heavy responsibilities that she shoulders, she isn't generally one to discuss her personal life, and prefers to keep most interactions brief and to the point. Although the staff that she is seldom seen without is rumoured to have the power to grant wishes, she avoids advertising this power lest her island's populace become complacent and cause her to buck under the immense pressure.

An ideal voice for Selenite should be medium-pitched and rather forceful, but not without the ability to express emotion if the situation demands it.

  • I'm not letting you touch my staff, I- This power is *not* for the faint of heart, do you understand? Do so much as hold it the wrong way and it could tear you apart until there is nothing left of you.

  • [sighs] I'm Selenite. That's all you need to know about me. Nothing more and nothing less.

  • This island is sacred, down to the very last particle of dust, and if you think I'm going to let you waltz into my kingdom uninvited, you're gravely mistaken.

He can frequently be seen getting his hands dirty, repairing or touching up machines, although he has a rather nihilistic and aloof perspective on his work and views it as him just clearing up other peoples' messes. Regardless, he is highly efficient and capable in what he does, and he can yield fast and effective results as long as you're patient with him.

An ideal voice for Toolbox should be of a low or low-medium pitch and express the mindset displayed in this bio.

  • I would if I could, but I don't really have that much upper body strength, so this one's kind of out of my wheelhouse... No pun intended.
