Hey there, Charlie here! Citrus is one of my favourite mangas and I'm looking for fellow voice actors and actresses to help me complete a fandub for the whole manga series.
I shall upload one chapter at a time.
Citrus is a yuri manga written and illustrated by Saburouta.
I own nothing except my voice. I will be voicing Mei Aihara in this project ^^
For voice references you can refer to the english dub in the anime but it's not required.
Rules:
This will be an ongoing project so please only audition if you know you're going to be dedicated to the project.
Please have a clear mic with little to no background noise.
Discord is a must!
You have to be comfortable with recording kissing noises so please don't audition if you're uncomfortable with that. Since it's a yuri manga you have to be ok with recording for a LGBTQ+ manga.
This manga contains mature content and swearing/cursing. There is no sexual content in the manga but there is passionate kissing/scenes so please don't audition if you are young or if you're uncomfortable with such content. Extras are super important in this project as there are a lot students and teachers. Both male and female. The male extras are usually adult teachers. The female extras are usually highschool students but there are also female teachers who are adults too. There are also extras such as middle-aged nurses, male butlers, train announcers etc

'What should I do? I don't want to hang around a bad crowd.'
'What's with her?'
(Male teacher)
'Huh what's this?'
'I have no idea.'
(Female teacher)
'Shouldn't she be stopped?'
Yuzu is the lead character along with Mei in the series. She is a daring, outspoken, shameless girl who enjoys dressing up, wearing makeup, and customizing her school uniform. She does her best to make the people she cares about happy. She is considerate, yet clumsy, and brash. She is incredibly bubbly and optimistic.
She has quite a high pitched voice but not overly high.
(Casual)
'Up until now, I've been lying to myself and everyone around me...I've never been in love, never even kissed a guy.'
(Here Yuzu is getting told off for breaking the school rules with her attire)
'What's the point in being a high school girl if you can't look cute?!'
(Say in a panicked/shocked tone)
'That girl's totally nuts...!'
Harumi is a kind, humorous and easy-going girl who has a similar mentality to Yuzu and enjoys doing things which are prohibited by her school's regulations.
'I'm Taniguchi Harumi...but you can call me Harumin.'
(Casual)
'See, almost everyone in the school has been together since kindergarten. They're used to this place and don't like change.'
(Harumin puts her phone down her shirt to keep hidden from the student council)
'Oh, the student council prez took yours?'
Matsuri is a very precocious and smart girl for her age who doesn't mind her own words and she can be a mischievous at times as she enjoys teasing others. Matsuri tends to be very manipulative and she doesn't have any shame.
'Honestly, this world is full of idiots.'
(Talking to herself in a somewhat mischievous manner)
'Yuzu-chan... I remember you. Have you been well? Since I'm bored, I think I'll visit you.'
(Confused)
'My brain's getting an error, everything I ever knew about romance isn't processing and now my stomach hurts...'
Himeko has a rather stuck-up and stubborn personality, and despises people who don't follow the school regulations, the most common objects of her disapproval being Yuzu and Harumi.
(Disapprovingly)
'It seems like the girls here are getting messier and messier...'
(Tries stopping Yuzu from running in the hall)
'You there! No running in the--!'
Kayo is a member of the student council. Unlike her Student Council fellows, Kayo is a shy and meek, but also a friendly girl. She is prone to stuttering and easily flustered.
'May I see your student identification card?'
'Well, to start off with, your hair colour is in violation of school regulations. In addition, texting is also against school rules, so I'll be confiscating your phone.'
'Miss student council president!'
Despite her age and the fact she's a mother, Ume is a childish, playful and immature young woman. However, she shows a more mature side sometimes and she enjoys fashion and shopping, just like Yuzu. Just the usual mother voice would be perfect!
'Oh, didn't I tell you? Starting today...you have a little sister!'
(To Mei)
'Hey, don't be so formal! We're family now, after all-!'
Shō is shown to be a friendly and caring person as he quickly hugs Yuzu before even introducing himself, along with bringing a gift to Mei.
(First time meeting Yuzu)
'You must be Yuzu right?'
(Rushes in to give Yuzu a hug)
'I see so you're Yuzu-Chan!'
(Speaking good of Mei)
'Even now I'm still in the middle of seeing the world. Mei is smarter than me. She'll realise it even if she doesn't have my age...'
He is a ruthless and unforgiving man. He does not tolerate any form of insubordination and will not hesitate to strike a punishment wherever he sees fit. He has a cold and calculating appearance, and never smiles. He still sounds like a grandad/grandpa. So make him seem old.
(Is mad at Mei for seeing Yuzu's attire)
'Mei! Explain this thing to me. Why is this idiot walking freely around our school?!'
'This academy has no need for disgraceful students such as yourself! Begone!!!'
Just a normal, teenaged voice will do! A little on the bitchy side.
(Talking to Manami about an ex)
'Seriously?! But weren't you fucking him until recently?'
(Talking about dating)
'Don't do long distance!'
Not much is known about their personalities, but they appear to have similar interests to Yuzu. They are quite the bitchy type. They are also homophobic. Despite their homophobic behavior, they both congratulated Yuzu and Mei's marriage.
(Manami to Kana)
'Whatever, it's summertime and I just wanna have some fun!'
(Manami to Yuzu)
'Oh, right...Yuzucchi, I forgot that you broke up with your boyfriend. I'd set you up with somebody but you're changing schools in fall. right?'
Mineko is an elderly teacher. Since she is a minor role I don't mind taking the comical route so both male and females can audition. She is usually found telling off Yuzu!
(Telling off Yuzu)
'Are you listening?'
(Telling off Yuzu)
'Good grief you have much to learn!'
(Telling off Yuzu)
'Living by the rules is healthy for your daily life!'
Amamiya is a minor character in the manga. He was a teacher and the fiancée of Mei Aihara, but he was kicked out after his sexual advances on Mei were outed by Yuzu Aihara.
(Casually calling Yuzu by her last name)
'Aihara! Yeah, you! Are you alright I was calling your name for ages.'
(He's on call with his fiance talking about his intentions with Mei Aihara)
'All I have to do is pretend I'm in love with her for two more years...and then I'll be set for life!'
