Christmas of Covid
Project Overview
DESCRIPTION
I am looking for a few voice-actors to join my original audio-based comedic Christmas short, featuring a loud young woman explaining covid-19 measures to Santa Claus in an almost-patronising tone. This project hopes to be fun, each character written to be over the top and eccentric, hence I would appreciate it if in auditions you would also be.
SYNOPSIS
All is well, Santa Claus is delivering Christmas presents to all the good boys and girls, but there's only one issue... covid-19. After 2020, all those on Santa's nice list definitely deserve a happy end to the year. How must Santa Claus change his usual habits to care for those around?
REQUIREMENTS
High quality audio with minimal to no background noise is preferred, however an expensive microphone is not needed. I would also appreciate it if you have Discord, however I am happy to also communicate through CCC if necessary.
You may audition for as many characters as you wish, along with as many takes as you're comfortable with.
Please save your auditions as '.wav' files.
DEADLINE
My hope is for my original creative short to be fully recorded, ready to be distributed by the week commencing 21st December. Please keep this in mind before auditioning.

Niamh is an enthusiastic, lover of the Christmas season whom often finds herself getting too indulged in the festivities. Being an extroverted individual, she is excitable; particularly at the thought of coming face to face with the real Santa Claus. Sometimes she may come off as melodramatic and generally over the top, but her heart is in the right place.
She would sound generally upbeat, but with the ability to change tone instantaneously depending on the atmosphere surrounding the current context. She does not need to be an above average singer.
As this is a comedic, over the top project; I would appreciate for the characters voice to emphasise this.

"Think about Mrs Claus, and the elves" (empathetic)
"Don't you realise the state the world is in, right now!" (hysteric)
This is your stereotypical jolly, all-loving and caring Santa Claus. Though he is constantly watching over the children, he doesn't realise to the exact extent covid-19 has effected the world. He is an older man, happy to be educated by this young woman, hoping to deliver all the presents to those on the nice list.
He is a well-spoken old man, having an overall happy tone to his voice. His voice would preferably be quite deep with a good jolly laugh.
As this is a comedic, over the top project; I would appreciate for the characters voice to emphasise this.
"Ho ho ho, merry Christmas!" (happy)
"What shall I do? These kids do not deserve to go presentless!" (pleading)
"Ah yes, I do believe it has caused quite the scuffle down here" (laughing)
These are very minor roles, which are put to amplify the convention of a happy Christmas surrounded by family. I would hope to have multiple of voice-actors for this small part to convey the family atmosphere.
Therefore, anyone who auditions for this role will feature within the short. Please keep in mind that I am not looking for an above average singer, the skill of the singing will not be judged.
