Checkmate is another CCDCU project. It is based on the Checkmate team from DC Comics.
It will set up a lot of plot points, but also continue themes from Vigilante: On The Run!
It has been a year since Checkmate first formed when they were quickly met with defeat, so they disbanded. This time Lord and Luthor want to make it work, and reform Checkmate. Their first mission, they form together a small group within Checkmate consisting of NYPD captain Harry Stein, the Quad Cities' ruthless and asinine vigilante Wild Dog, and the taciturn stallion Knight. Will they complete their mission of killing an entity titled "The Hitman?" Who knows?
It is a very fun and surprisingly comedic project!
