KONSTANTIN IS:
– The corpse of Constantine I, known as the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity.
– A zombie cyborg werebat from the future, but you may just call him a vampire.
– Easily startled, but he wears fear on his sleeve, and is really not afraid of looking pathetic.
– About as charming as a squashed insect. His mannerisms are odd. He tends to curl in on himself, and his limbs and fingers are long, making him look like a spider.
– A creep.
– Cynical. Loathes humanity in theory, but has a deep and brazen love for humans and their individualities.
What’s it like to be around him?
Uncomfortable, I’d say. He’s verbally polite (though prone to saying completely absurd things and unbothered by vulgarity), but has no regard for personal space. He tends to slowly corner people, and his handshakes are uncomfortably long. He’ll often grab someone’s hand and sandwich it between both of his to absorb the warmth. He’s very tall and his posture is excellent—he may or may not crane menacingly over you. He always wears round sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. When in public, not an inch of skin is showing (full gloves, mask, neckerchief, the whole shebang).
Okay, and what about the voice?
I will tell you how I imagine his voice, but you are more than welcome to create your own based on your interpretation of him. The only thing I ask of you to keep in mind is his accent (Received Pronunciation).
- Timbre: A low, raspy voice, though the rasp is somewhat lost when he speaks in a lighter pitch. This is an extremely good reference.
- Delivery and enunciation: His speech is eloquent, with a clear and well-articulated cadence. I have described the inflection as akin to David Attenborough. The tone is usually gentle.
I do not want you to try and replicate these, though. Always be your own version!
