Hi I'm Arsenal, or Ray, I recently have discovered the Chainsawman manga and am completely hooked, I'm looking for fellow fans and/or aspiring voice actors to make a voice performance for the manga in a video series format on youtube. Ideally I would like to have some simple editing, sound effects, and music, but the voice acting is my main priority and area of expertise. I am planning to dub the manga 5 chapters at a time rather than trying to cast the whole series at once, but actors cast here may continue to voice the character as long as they'd like. I myself will be casting, and directing the project, as well as voicing the main character Denji, Once we have enough cast and crew to get the project moving, I will handle the cast coordination, and communication through discord.
Rules and Requirements
Anyone is welcome to audition but
1. Record clear audio with no background noise or peeking
(This a crazy loud and emotional story if you can't record yourself yelling, this isn't gonna work)
2. Have or be willing to make a discord account
(It's FREE and the most convenient way to coordinate a project, and a very common service most people use)
3. Investment in the project, respond to messages within 48 hours, and submit lines on time
(I know were all busy, and I can't offer to pay you, but internet projects like this tend to fall apart if you can't strike while the iron is hot.)
4. Don't say the parentheses in auditions that's context and direction, and improv is welcome
( Each character has lines listed first, with direction after in parentheses, feel free to improvise in character if you think it will fit)
5. Be willing to research your character in the manga if you are cast
(No prior knowledge of the manga is required to audition, but if you are cast I'll want you to at least read parts of the manga relevant to your character)
6. Be patient, be nice, have fun
(This should cover the rest, these things take time I will do my best to review auditions and post updates as often as I can. Please respect everyone else around you. I will be taking this dub and the whole project process seriously but I hope we can all have some fun while doing it)
I am willing to do this job myself, however I would love anyone with skills in this area to apply. Your job would be to match audio to the video, provide basic panel motion, along with compositing images and visual effects together similar to the promo video attached to this project. Makima is a high ranking devil hunter, she is in a leadership role over the Tokyo division. She is cunning and manipulative. She controls Denji (Main Character) with promises of a romantic and sexual relationship while threatening him with extermination if he disobeys her.
Looking for a voice that can go between soft and sultry, but also all business and authority when need be. she exudes calm open confidence but also is always seemingly hiding something. Aki is a Public Safety Devil Hunter, working under Makima's special squad. He started working as a devil hunter from a young age and has a personal vendetta against an extremely powerful devil who killed his family, Due to his rough past he adopts a no nonsense attitude, his age is unknown but he appears to be at least 21 and has experience and trauma beyond his years.

Power is a devilman with blood based powers, and a Public Safety Devil Hunter who is part of Makima's special squad. Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. Power is often rude, unkempt, and feels as if she is superior to all humans. She is very compulsive jumping into fights or bursting out in conversation without much thought.

Girls and boys welcome to try this one, Pochita is a chainsaw Demon dog that helps lives with Denji helping him make money. He later saves Denji's life by fusing with his heart and transforming him into the chainsaw devilman. He lives on as an inner voice in Denji's heart and is the source of his power.
(Looking for a voice that can sound cute, or feral, I don't have an actor reference for this one so have fun and get creative. Pochita doesn't have many lines past the first few chapters, so this role will also have the oppurtunity to voice other devils, monsters, and background characters, if you like a wide range of voice types this role is perfect for you)

This is an elderly man who has likely been in the yakuza for many years and has now risen up to a position of authority. He imposes the debt of the Denji's dead father onto him, and forces him to fight and kill for the yakuza. This mob boss later becomes assimilated into a large demon body that creates zombies.
This role with make up the main voice for this monster with other actors potentially added for effect. I know most actors on this website are younger, so I don't have a voice reference. Just looking for someone with an authentic aged sound, with the range to up the intensity for a monster voice.

The Muscle Devil is sadistic and cunning, using trickery to make Denji let his guard down and controlling a little girl's body as a pawn to do so.
This devil has a great hatred towards humans; taking a little girl prisoner to torture her. Need an actor with a good monster voice on the higher pitched side with a good amount of crazy mixed in. I don't have a reference for this one, but just remember this is a monster who was willing to torture and manipulate a young girl for his own gain, make your voice sell that.
