Denji is a young man who wants to live a simple life and to its fullest. He is childish, uneducated, and "Bonkers". Though he does kill devils, it's mostly because of his job, and for personal gain.

Aki generally appeared to be a very stoic person. He acted mature and sometimes blunt to the point of rudeness when he was with his fellow Devil Hunters, but he was actually fairly softhearted. He had a tendency to get attached to others easily, and hated to see people get hurt, especially his close friends.

Katana Man is a selfish and cruel-hearted man who only cares about killing Denji and forcing him to apologize for killing his grandfather. He will sacrifice innocent people and even his own comrades to do so, being willing to cut through them just to get to Denji.
