Project Overview
"12 people wake up on a deserted island with no idea of how they got there. They get told by the Island Master, Sue Miley, that they're on the Isle of Memories and they must survive there for 30 days before they can be released. With no other choice, the 12 agree to cooperate with each other, build shelter, forage, and fight monsters while getting to know one another..."
This is a fandub project of the "Your Time To Shine: Island Existence" game, a spin-off of the "Your Turn to Die" franchise.
Considering the game has multiple endings, and is more or less luck based on which events happen, a Discord server/group will be organized in order for all the members of the project to participate and give their input. Gameplay will be recorded once everyone has settled and agreed on what shall be done.
The idea is to have all endings and all fondness events be recorded and voiced for a more thorough experience for the viewer and the voice actors alike.
Do keep in mind that this is a passion and group project, meaning there will be no budget and that everyone will have to do their part in order for the project to come to fruition!
For the auditions, I have collected a few lines from the game itself from the characters in different situations (namely normal conversation, attacking a monster and getting injured) in order for the voice talents to be able to show their full ability when expressing different emotion. As a bonus, you can include a take of what you believe the character would sound like when their cut-in is activated for a more dynamic and exciting flair during the final project. The cut-in trigger voice lines I provide are merely examples: just say or grunt anything you think would fit!
Please feel free to use any voice you think would suit the character; the "voice concept" is merely what I personally imagined the character would sound like. Appealing to my personal tastes does not increase your chance of being cast, the conviction with which you audition and embody the character does.
Requirements:
- Have a good quality microphone! The idea of the project is to immerse the viewer into the world of "Your Time to Shine". If one of the voice actors has a poor quality recording, this will be harder to achieve.
- Commit to the project. "Your Time to Shine" is a relatively short game, but considering the amount of endings it has, the project might take some time to get finished.
- Audition for anyone you like. You don't have to be a certain gender or age to audition for the character you want. Just audition for whoever you like!
- Have fun! This is very much a passion project. We're all going to be working together because of our liking of "Your Turn to Die" and related media, so try to get along with your fellow members and enjoy the project!
All other characters have been cast! We only need actors to play Mishima, Sara, Joe, Jin, and Ranger!

Voice Actor
Character description: Kazumi Mishima is the main protagonist of “Your Time to Shine: Island Experience”. He is a high school teacher of about 30 years old and is considered a bit odd by his companions. Though his appearance is that of a “mad scientist”, he is incredibly caring and kind.
Voice concept: Mishima is the oldest among the others, and his voice would reflect that. Something that expresses the feel of “nutty professor” would likely be ideal. Being a smoker, he would most likely possess some rasp in his voice.
Cut-in: “Ah, yes, yes!” / “Mwahahah…”
[Introduction] “I am Kazumi Mishima. I work as a high school teacher, teaching the subjects of art and Japanese.”
[Attacking] "I’ve graduated from violence, but…!"
[Injured] "Hmm…! My head is spinning…"
Voice Actor
Character description: Sara Chidouin is a 17-year old high school student. Although she describes herself as average, she is very dependable and strong-willed, and this reflects in the attitude that her companions have towards her, as she is admired and trusted.
Voice concept: Being an “average high-schooler”, Sara would probably have a young woman’s voice and demeanour. Medium voice range.
Cut-in: “This is it!” / “Hyaah!”
[Introduction] “Err... My name is Sara Chidouin. I’m just a high school student.”
[Attacking] "I’ll absolutely protect the base…!"
[Injured] "Urk…!"
Voice Actor
Character description: Joe is an extremely excitable and upbeat teenage boy. His optimism reflects on others and is considered “everyone’s friend”. He is often described as “gaudy” due to his appearance.
Voice concept: An average teenage boy’s voice. Try to express his enthusiasm and general cheerfulness.
Cut-in: “Alright!” / “Yeah!”
PLEASE PRONOUNCE "TAZUNA" AS "TAZNA" AND *NOT* "TAZOONA"!
[Introduction] “I’m Jou Tazuna, but just call me Joe! I’m Sara’s bud! Ask me anything about her!”
[Attacking] "Get outta here, you!"
[Injured] "Oww?!"
Voice Actor
Character description: Jin is a castaway who washed ashore the island. He works as an engineer and seems to be a capable and reliable individual.
Voice concept: When meeting Jin for the first time, he is severely injured and in need of help, so he would most likely sound tired with some rasp in his voice. An adult man’s voice would be ideal for him.
“What… is this place…?”
“Thank you… Thank you… I’ll definitely repay you…”
“I’m Jin Mutou. Come again sometime. We’ll survive and leave this island together.”
Voice Actor
Character description: Rio Ranger is a doll created with primarily negative traits. He feels bitterness and inferiority towards humans, to the point that he relishes in their suffering. He appears in "Your Time to Shine" as a radio announcer, making him a very small role.
Voice concept: Ranger has the appearance of a teenage boy, and thus his voice would most likely be that of a young man. His sadistic and condescending characteristics (as well as swearing) need to be incorporated.
[You can add as much swearing as you like to your audition, for example swapping "stuff" with "shit", adding "bastards" to any of his lines, etc.]
