Cartoon Recap Voice Actor

Project Overview

There's sooooo much content from Boomerang to Disney that we could be talking for years and years and years. Whether it's lore, nostalgia, fun facts or plotlines, cartoons are the name of the game here at Clickable and over on JarToon we have been talking about cartoons for years and years, with really no plans on stopping! If you love chattin' about the plots of your favorite cartoon classics (maybe even a few live action shows here and there), we'd love to offer you a position as our newest voice actor!

In this role, you, the voice actor will be responsible for consistently providing the narration for videos up to (but not limited to) 120 minutes. The content of these scripts is pretty straightforward, "The ENTIRE Story of [Cartoon] in [X] Minutes." You'll be recapping shows from top to bottom, so I'd say having a level of passion or interest in television or cartoons is a must. As for examples, any of the videos on JarToon (linked above) would be a great place to start, but my personal favorite has gotta be Codename: Kids Next Door! It is the one that started it all, of course!

đź’°Money Talk : $100 for a standard video (0-120 minutes), with an addition $50 for anything longer

🎙️Workload: Video length naturally depends on the topic covered. On average though, I would anticipate videos that are 60-90 minutes! In general the turn-around for a video is about two days!

🗣️Style: Witty and Laid-Back

What To Expect

Everything for us is done through Discord, so as part of your audition, please drop your Discord username. Individuals without a Discord will need to make one to be considered further. Upon submission of your audition, either the Clickable hiring manager, Zach (that's me, hello) or the owner of the channel, Flynn, will reach out and get you oriented!

Thank y'all so much for taking the time to read through this, and we're looking forward to working ya!

Hey all, thanks for the interest! For this role, we're definitely looking for some high audio quality. Alongside this our videos tend to run relatively long, which means people fall asleep to our videos. With this in mind, a more chill, kinda laid back style would be ideal. However, we aren't looking to lull people to sleep or anything, so don't feel obligated to go wayyyyy too chill!

We think the main thing we want to be showcased with the videos is that the narrator has seen and is familiar with these shows! Feel free to get a bit creative with the lines, little ad-libs here and there are fun! So long as the integrity of the sentence is maintained, we're all good!

  • People of Earth, be advised there has been a sighting of an extraterrestrial in the vicinity. He is described as being extremely loud, a little goofy, and incredibly tiny. Do not let his small stature and funny misunderstanding of human concepts deceive you, he is here to take over and he goes by the name of… Zim!

  • Now, this show has a notable absence… The Pink Panther. I know, I know, but stick with me, he is in this show, but the premise revolves around the Pink Panther’s kids, Pinky and Panky, so the Panther himself only makes short appearances. “But Mr. Youtube Man, why include a season of a show that doesn’t include the Pink Panther in a video about the Pink Panther?!” Well, because this series shows how the Pink Panther is evolving from its classic roots.

  • In the very next episode, “All You Can’t Eat,” we learn a little bit more about the dynamic between Catdog. As I’m sure any pet owner can attest to, Dog seems to have a never-ending hunger and in this episode, he is craving some Taco Depot. But there’s one issue, the store manager, named Rancid Rabbit, has banned them from the restaurant because Dog once tried to eat literally all the food they have.
