Can You Sing?

Can You Sing?

Project Overview

If you have ever seen "American Idol" or "The Voice," then the layout of this tournament should be very familiar.

There will be a total of 10 rounds, which includes an audition round at the beginning. 10 auditioners will be accepted into the next round and 1 contestant will be eliminated each week until a winner is named. The winner will recieve the satisfaction of winning and, if you want, I will write a positive review on your homepage, website, or wall regarding your participation in the tournament and the quality of your singing voice.

I will judge each round and determine who will move on to the next round. Why? Well, as a vocal music education major, I know what good and bad singing sounds like.

RULES:

- Include a backing track (or karaoke track) for all songs. (except the audition round.)

- Include the entirety of the song you choose (except the audition round.)

- No profanity.

- No instruments played by yourself.

IF ANY OF THESE RULES ARE BROKEN, THEN IT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN ALL OF THE ROUNDS YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO. IF YOU DO, THEN YOU WILL END UP SCREWING UP THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.

  • Country Round Ends Tonight

The Country round ends tonight. If you are on this list, I still do not have recordings from you.

  • Change in Plans

Because we have dropped down to the top 7 already, I will be making an adjustment to the schedule. The Country round will begin Sunday 14, but I need time to make sure the dates are corrected. Top 7 contestants, do not post anything until you see that the Country round has been updated. Also, I expect that you will all follow through with the rest of the tournament.

  • Round 2 Ends Tonight!

If your username is any of the following, it means I do not have your submission yet. If you don't submit, you can't participate. AND REMEMBER, BY AUDITIONING YOU AGREED TO PARTICIPATE TO THE END.

  • Final results

Final results will be determined once the last contestant submits their recording, so don't hesitate.

  • Round 2

The following still need to post their song for round 2.

    -kingwiyllam

    -leeallen

    -aa1dantdmfan

    -rejectedalien

    -macrobass

    -giant skyhawk

Remember, if you don't submit a track, then the entire tournament will fall apart and it WILL be your fault. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just being honest.
