Burn The Witch: The Execution (An animatic)
Project Overview
Hi this is a student animatic film in production.Im posting for my group mate regarding the same group project animatic.This is UNPAID work and VA casted will have to voice some extra lines in other parts in the animatic too,hope it’s alright with you!
All clips will given to you in the end of the day,you will be granted the right to use it for your demo reel.
In a cursed village where people with red hair are accused of being witches, Alruna, a girl with fiery red hair, has been captured and is being taken to be burned at the stake. The manipulative village priest, Falkenwrath, waits with his torch onstage as a rowdy crowd looks on. He taunts her and orders for the two men holding Alruna to begin the execution. She screams and cries while the crowd cheers.
Falkenwrath smirks one last time as he uses his torch to light the fire. As the fire creeps up to her, a mysterious vine starts growing at her feet as well. Screaming in fear, Alruna’s bound hands start to glow. Her innate power over plants is released as a last saving grace in this life or death situation. The glow spreads to the wooden stake which makes it start growing into a tree. The strong branches pull at the ropes and eventually snap them, freeing Alruna in the process.
Alruna drops to the ground, coughing. Falkenwrath, shocked, swings his torch at her in a panic. But before the torch makes contact with her, she instinctively summons vines from the ground to restrain him. The vines wrap around his arm tightly. Alruna is confused by her own power, but quickly snaps out of it and takes this chance to escape. While Falkenwrath is trying to free himself, Alruna runs past him and jumps off the stage, escaping amidst the chaos.
Dialogue
Alruna is dragged up to the stage by 2 civilians. Falkenwrath waits by the pyre.
Alruna: Let go of me!
Falkenwrath: Well then, what do we have here?
Falkenwrath: A cursed child…
Falkenwrath: People of Eichenhail!
Falkenwrath: Today, you will witness a step forward in the cleansing our village -
Falkenwrath: - by burning away the curse at the root.
Falkenwrath points the torch at Alruna and the 2 men drag her away to tie her to the stake.
Alruna: No - please wait!
Alruna: I have done nothing!
Crowd: (chanting) Burn the witch! Burn the witch!
Falkenwrath: (smirking) Hmph.
He lights the wood with his torch and the fire spreads rapidly.
Alruna: No no no! NOOOO!!
Alruna suddenly releases her power over plants and turns the stake she’s tied to into a large tree. The branches that continuously grow snap the ropes that bound her.
Now free, she falls down on the ground.
Alruna: (cough cough)
Falkenwrath: (gasps and growls as he swings to hit her with his torch)
In a split second, Alruna raises her arm and strong vines grow to restrain Falkenwrath.
Alruna: (deep breathing) W-What…?
Snapping out of her confusion, Alruna takes this advantage to escape.
Falkenwrath: (grunting trying to escape the vines)
Alruna jumps off the stage and escapes amidst the chaos.

Falkenwrath- A 200-300yo monster serpent disguised as human

- Low and mature male voice,somewhat give off slytherin vibes
- Sinister, but still somewhat charismatic
- Speaks with a commanding tone, he is the one in control at all times

Female and male voices welcomed,different VAs voices will be layered tgt to create a chant for the crowd.Delivery should be angry and hateful,chant should be in unison to show supportiveness to the villain.
