Project Overview

"Buck is a cowboy bounty hunter that is being framed for various crimes that his father has committed. It’s up to Buck to find his father and prove to his hometown and sheriff that he is innocent."


The story is dark and has some mild violence and blood in the animatic. 


This is an unpaid student project. "Buck" is a two minute animatic for my story boarding class. I am currently looking for two voice actor's to voice the main character Buck. And, someone to voice the main villain, Robert. I already have a voice actor for my third character in my animatic. I will credit your name in the ending credits when the project will be completely finished at the end of the fall semester. The animatic will be out around mid December or earlier.  


The project will be completed in Storyboard pro. All I need from the voice actor is either wav. mp3, or mp4 files for the audio. Once you audition for the project. I will email you the animatic and your script with the character's name highlighted.

  • Deadline for Sheriff Barn

    Hello Everyone!

    First of all I want to say thank you for everyone auditioning for the role of Sheriff Barn. I appreciate the hard work everyone put into their audition. It means a lot to me. Now, I have accepted a voice for Sheriff Barn, they are Scrogun. Hopefully I hear from them soon.

  • Searching a New Voice Actor

    Hello everyone! I just want to let you know I added a new character to my project. I need a new voice actor for Sheriff Barn. I originally had a voice actor for him, before I posted the project. But, I never heard from them.

    So I extending the project deadline to the 27th on Friday. In order to get a new voice actor for sheriff Barn. If you are interested please audition for his role. Thank you so much!

  • Voice Actors that have been Accepted

    Hello everyone, I would like to start off saying thank you to everyone that submitted an audition for my student project. It really means a lot to me! I honestly thought I wasn't going to get any submissions for my animatic. So again thank you for auditioning for my project.

    I have accepted two people for the roles of Buck and Robert. I'm hoping to hear from them soon. They are DanEss for the role or Robert. And DHowiedoit for the role of Buck.

    For those who weren't accepted. Don't feel bad. I thought everyone was extremely talented, and I wished I could pick everyone. In the future I will create more projects. So keep your eye out for those. I would like to work with you in the future.

  • Deadline for Voice Actors

    Hello everyone! First of all I would like to say thank you for auditioning for the roles of Buck and Robert. I decided to change the deadline date to October 12 at 12:30 am. I feel I have plenty of submissions from a lot of talented voice actors.

    Once the deadline ends I will go through everyone's submissions again and choose who will be the voice actor for Buck and Robert.

    I will try to respond to every submission that I have received for the last two days. If I don't choose you for the animatic. I would like your contact info for future projects.

Buck realize he must hunt down his father, and bring him to justice. Though, does Buck even want justice? Or, does he want revenge against his father for putting him through a life of hell."

The voice actor will need a good recording microphone. The audio will be use for a student project, and our professor wants good quality audio for the assignment. Your name will be listed in the credits as a voice actor for Buck.


Ideally I would like Buck's voice sound like Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop. I have some of Buck's lines listed as audition materiel.

"Robert Cooper is a professional criminal that would rather die where he stands. Instead of spending the rest of his life in prison. His goal in life is to commit as many crimes as possible and then put the blame on his only son (Buck). Robert figures it's easier to commit crimes as someone else. Since no one will try to hunt him done and bring him to justice."

"Sheriff Barn use to be one of Buck's best friend. But he recently had to arrest Buck for a bank robbery, and bring him in for questioning. Sheriff Barn doesn't believe Buck is innocent and being frame by his father, Robert. But once the sheriff learns Buck is telling the truth. It's up to him to stop Buck from killing his father and bring Robert to justice."


This animatic is an cowboy western. I will provide a script to the voice actor and highlight that character's name for each line. Originally I had a voice actor for Sheriff Barn before I posted the project on casting call. But, I never heard back from them. So if anyone is interesting voicing the sheriff, here is your chance! 


Ideally I imagine Sheriff Barn have a western accent and he is suppose to be the voice of reason. So his voice should sound mature and vigilant.
