Bloom - Sims 2 Machinima Series
Project Overview
Bloom is a Sims 2 machinima series set in 1997. It centers around 6 teenagers attending a gifted high school in the fictional town of Linton, Illinois. As the new school year begins, suspicious changes also begin to occur at the school. New rules are enacted, extracurriculars disappear, and the once-thriving school suddenly can’t stay afloat. The students uncover the truth amid a host of illegal occurrences, but is it too late to save their school before graduation?
The series also gives a glimpse into the personal lives of each student, their ambitions, and journey of discovering who they are and what they want from their futures as they prepare for adulthood.
Notes:
Bloom is a series that I began a few years ago, but would like to complete as I’m now in a place to do that. You can watch the first episode HERE to get a feel of the series.
There will be 10 episodes in the project (so, 9 more).
Ideal for hobbyist or beginning voice actors. As much as I’d like to, I’m unable to pay per episode, but am exploring possibilities for a stipend at completion of the project because I do understand how time-consuming voice acting is. Machinima is also a passion project of mine and I do not earn any money from the series.
Some subject matter in the project is appropriate for teen audiences and up, but there will be no 18+ content.
You may record the sample lines or submit an existing demo reel as your audition.

(sarcastically) “What is this school turning into? A prison? We’re already dressed the same. Just add bars to the windows.”
(thinking) “We have to make him admit it on tape. If we trick him into confessing, we have a story.”
(determined, angrily) "I started the journalism club. I got us the studio space and I'm not letting this go. They won't take away everything I worked for."

Sonia is patient, but that patience runs out if a student doesn't take her guidance seriously. The other staff members love and respect her.
“Eric, you’re not here because you’re a bad person. You’re here because you’ve struggled since losing your best friend. I want to help you through it.”

Her family kicked her out upon learning she was pregnant, so she relies on the Holts for a place to live and financial support. She’s terrified of what will happen if Toast can’t find work or his parents’ patience runs out and encourages him to get his life in order.
(concerned) “Katelyn’s been crying for two hours. I’ve tried everything and nothing helped. Do you think she’s sick?”
(frustrated) “We need money so you can’t be picky. I don’t care if you have to deliver pizzas on a bike. Just get something!”

He's conflicted about whether to tell Eric's parents about the antics he gets into when they're not around. He values order and cleanliness and gets frustrated when Eric leaves big messes behind and takes him for granted.
"Good morning, John, Deborah. I've arranged a car to take you to the airport at 7:00am. Is that time alright?"
