Black Clover: Abridged

Project Overview

THIS CASTING CALL WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR BLACK CLOVER.

What is this? It's an abridged series for the anime Black Clover much like "Dragon Ball Z: Abridged"! This project/series will be written, edited, and mixed by me, in a way that will make the abridged series silly and hilarious in various ways. 

For those of you unfamiliar with "Black Clover", I do recommend you take your time to watch it! But here is a synopsis for you:

"Asta and Yuno are orphans raised in the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom. In a world where people are born with magic, Asta was born without any. In contrast, Yuno was born a prodigy with above-average magic power and the talent to control it. Additionally, in their coming of age ceremony, Yuno receives a rare four-leaf clover grimoire, like the original Magic Emperor. On the other hand, Asta received a tattered grimoire where a Devil lies within, a five-leaf clover grimoire. The story follows Asta and Yuno as they crawl their way up the ladder of the Clover Kingdom's Order of the Magic Knights, in the midst of scrutiny by the nobles, to become the Magic Emperor. However, the title is only preserved for a single mage. Who will attain the coveted title of the strongest mage in the kingdom, Asta or Yuno?"

Requirements:

1) GOOD QUALITY MICROPHONE.

Having a good quality microphone is almost crucial to make an amazing quality project. Not only it'll make it easier for me to piece everything together, but it will also give the project a higher quality viewing.

2) LITTLE TO NO BACKGROUND NOISE.

Like having a good microphone- little to non-background noise is important. It doesn't have to be absolutely no noise whatsoever, but just very very little.

3) HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE.

Having experience is not really a requirement, but more of a recommendation. A few months/years of voice acting/dubbing experience is great! But you do not need it.

4) ABLE TO MEET DEADLINES.

You MUST be able to meet certain deadlines by sending in your .wav files. If there is an emergency and you can't send in your lines by the desired time, you can talk with me and we can discuss when the perfect time for you is.

5) BE COOPERATIVE.

Just because you have talent, it does not mean you are a great person to work with. Being cooperative will make conversations go by quicker and can get details and instructions easier to explain and understand!

I DO NOT EXPECT YOU ALL TO HAVE SPOT-ON IMPRESSIONS OF THE CHARACTERS THAT ARE OPEN. Having your own take on a character is completely okay! ut if you are able, Do your best to get it as close as you can! 

I am a huge fan of "Black Clover" and I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do! If this project goes well, there will be more episodes and more spots to fill within the series- like "Licht", "Patry", "Lumiere". etc!

Having Discord is not a requirement but more recommended. Once casting is final, I will make a server for everyone so we can all discuss projects and maybe even play some games together.

  • Final Casting Starts!

    I am amazed at how many of you would want to be a part of this series! I am truly grateful, and I want to thank you all I never expected this many of you! Final casting is starting now 9/21/2021, Although the project due date is in 3 days from now, roles will still be left open, and if you would like to audition for a character not mentioned here, feel free to privately message me and I'll look over it! Fuegoleon is a fair person that judges people from their true worth rather than their social status. This side of him is seen when he is defending Asta from the House Silva's oppression by reasoning with them that Asta was brought by Julius Novachrono, which means that the Magic Emperor has acknowledged his worth. Furthermore, his act also shows his view of justice where he would not stand and stay silent when someone is being oppressed regardless of the reason or the status of the perpetrator.

Charlotte appears as a quiet, cold, and indifferent woman who keeps her emotions controlled and well hidden. She is constantly shown to appear as a rather stern woman, despite inwardly having an inward monologue that constantly appears to say calm down, especially around Yami Sukehiro. She often does not respond to situations that go out of hand, preferring to appear indifferent and let things play out. She does respond well to emergencies and pressing concerns, performing her duties and moving swiftly to take care of any problems that come up. However, she still is capable of losing her composure and becoming annoyed, which almost always involves Yami's teasing her. She is also a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, barely able to finish a pint before becoming drunk. Charlotte considers her duty to the kingdom to be her foremost responsibility, with little interest in the social aspects of life. Her beauty is quite noticeable when she chooses to show it, but she is more comfortable in plate mail than silk dresses and cares little for the opinions of most others. She also has a hard time being open with most people and expressing herself on occasion. That said, she often quips back at her fellow captains when they make rash decisions or do something she considers stupid, particularly Yami. However, she also has admiration for those who are competent and work hard, though she rarely ever shows it. Outwardly, she displays little interest in finding a husband and becomes angry when the subject is brought up, for which Yami repeatedly teases her and calls her "Prickly Princess."

Rill enjoys painting to the point of shirking his captain's duties. Despite this, he is very friendly, as shown by his interactions with Asta and Yuno, showing no interest in noble status. He has somewhat destructive tendencies, as much of what inspires him is powerful magic, which he paints into even more powerful spells. After receiving his grimoire, he spent a great deal of time in his room painting powerful and destructive spells, until his butler forced his way past, at a great injury, to talk to him. Rill dislikes when a conversation's mood turns dark and will try to lighten the mood by performing impressions of people. However, this often backfires, angering other people.

Klaus is a prideful man who tends to judge people from their social standings regardless of their individual personalities or abilities. Additionally, he can also become very arrogant and starts insulting people of lower status than his without actually having a personal issue with them. However, Klaus is still a man of reason as he is still able to judge and give his acknowledgment based on what he sees with his own eyes. This side of him is noted from his sudden approval of Asta and Yuno.

At first glance, Langris seems to have a pleasant, happy-go-lucky personality. He smiles even in the midst of battle and possesses a great deal of confidence in his abilities. Like most nobles, this borders on arrogance.[8] He also possesses a large degree of vanity and self-importance that is characteristic of many nobles, including their disdain for those they believe are beneath them. Peasantry sticking up to him or overlooking his clashes with his worldview and fuels his rage and inferiority complex. However, Langris is also very sadistic, as he tries to kill his older brother after defeating him. Despite being known as the talented brother, Langris shows a deep grudge against Finral as Finral was always praised for being kind and well-liked by others. His hatred for Finral grows after seeing others rush to his aid after Langris cut him down.

Dutiful and serious, Marx is often frustrated by the Magic Emperor's tendency to shirk his duties and go off searching for new magic. He frequently loses his composure when dealing with Julius's starry-eyed outbursts about various magic, and struggles to keep the Emperor on task. Though a high-ranked mage who works alongside Clover's top officials, Marx has an amiable and courteous personality as shown when he treats Asta with respect despite his low status.

Like most small children her age, she has an interest in cute clothes and stuffed animals. She also seems to enjoy playing with other children and quickly takes interest in others. Although a noblewoman, not having been raised as a noble, her life and upbringing are no different from that of a commoner. Marie was born as the second child of House Adlai. Sometime after her birth, her parents died in an "accident", and another noble inherit their wealth and casts out her and her older brother.

Orsi is shown to treat the orphans as his children. He is a good, honest, and hardworking man who tries to instill morality and virtues into the children for whom he is responsible. He is proud of Asta and Yuno for their quick rise in the ranks of the Magic Knights, as well as overjoyed in their generosity for sending most of their monthly wages to the village church, allowing them to repair the old building and afford food for everyone to eat filling meals every day. He openly says if Asta or Yuno ever wished to return to Hage, the church will always be their home.

Sekke is a cunning man that would commit any act to increase his chance of gaining his desire. This side of him is reflected when he intentionally stayed near Asta during the Magic Knights Entrance Exam so the captains could compare his abilities solely with the former's poor performances. In addition, he is also a very conceited person that likes to insult people whom he believes to be beneath him or he would create lies that elevate himself when he is with someone whom he believes to be above him. Furthermore, Sekke is also a womanizer that loves to flirt with women whom he finds attractive. His flirtation moves usually consist of standing in a seductive manner and giving speeches that showcase his romantic side,[7] or lying about and exaggerating his accomplishments. Sekke also has a habit of saying the phrase "Huhah!" on every occasion. Also very very flirty.

When she meets Asta at first, she comes off as distant and reserved while confronting him. However, after Asta defends her and gains her trust, she warms up as a very kind and outgoing young woman. She cares deeply about her siblings, so much that many mistake them for her own children. Rebecca is willing to take on the job of a maid at only 16 to provide for them.
