Grünehexe Projekt is a planned manga dub of the "Emerald Witch Arc" of the popular manga Black Butler. It spans twenty two chapters, from 86 to 108 in total. The goal of this project is to breathe life into the arc following the recently animated "Public School Arc". The Emerald Witch Arc is a personal favourite of mine and long have I wanted it to be animated. This project was planned well before the announcement of the upcoming season 5 of Black Butler which will be covering the Emerald Witch Arc (very exciting, isn't it!?) The structure of the project will be recorded audio of the actors paired with dynamically edited panels of the manga as videos published to Youtube. Each chapter will have it's own video to separate the arc into appropriate chunks.
Auditioning Requirements and Guidelines
1) Seeking quality audio with a preference for XLR mics and interfaces, but well treated USB is also accepted.
2) Black Butler is a manga rated for "older teens" and contains mature themes. As such, auditioners must be of sixteen years of age or older.
3) While this project is "pro bono" and a passion project, business level of respect is an absolute must between team members.
4) As this is a passion project there will be soft deadlines for lines being turned in. We hope to finish everything within a timely manner but life happens and there will always be avenues for communication if team members need more time for submissions.
5) Discord will be the primary method of communicating with the team and handing out scripts, but if team members would prefer another mode of communication we can accommodate.
6) Feel free to audition for multiple parts, though there will be limited multicasting as to maintain distinct voices for characters. Most multicasting that occurs will be for background characters.
7) While it is ideal to have all team members familiar with the series prior, this is not inherently expected. If you are unafraid of spoilers, the wiki is a great resource about individual characters. Otherwise briefings can and will be provided about team members' characters when they are casted.

(apathetic, conversational) There isn’t any point in speaking to a madman. We should go at once to this “werewolves’ forest” ourselves.
(Direct) It’s a toxic gas, a chemical weapon… made right here in this plant!! Neither wolfmen nor curses exist. They were all fabrications to deceive you!
(emotional monologue; increasingly self-assured) I’m a hopelessly self-centred… and self-righteous human being! That’s why!! So that I… could exact vengeance for the humiliation I alone had visited upon me… I took your hand, you devil. I didn’t do it for someone else! I DID IT FOR ME!!

The demon butler contracted to Ciel. As a butler he is a perfectionist by nature while maintaining his grace and poise. Underneath the surface level, Sebastian has shown traits of being sadistic and overconfident - finding even devious situations amusing.
(casual) It amuses me that you refuse to believe in curses… when you have a devil for a servant and have come eye-to-eye with grim reapers. Moreover… That which binds you and I… is also a curse of sorts.
(direct, insistant) Please wait!! Something is wrong with this forest. I cannot dispel the sense of grim foreboding I feel. I will pursue the wolfman. Please go and wait in your room, young master.
(threatening) Abandoning your revenge part way- That is a breach of contract. Oh, I say. What a terribly dull ending this is. I pity those who were sacrificed for the sake of an existence as trifling as yours. Well… To you, who are not long for this world now… I suppose it is of little concern. While this soul is not quite the delicacy I was hoping for… It should sate my hunger ever so slightly.

Sieglinde is a curious but naive young lady who's grown up living within a lie. She is primarily very trusting of all she meets, until she is warned away from this behaviour. Sieglinde is extremely intelligent and despite her lack of wisdom in life she primarily speaks in a very mature way - though sometimes acts very spoiled and childish.
(explaining, then hopeful) …That may well be. As such I’ve never once set foot outside of this village since birth. I’m certain I’ll live out my days here without ever doing so. You return to the world outside on the morrow, yes? So then… …Let me hear all about the world I’ll never come to know… The world that exists beyond the forest!
(determined) Wolfram. Prepare for the Emerald Witch’s “duty”! Don’t worry. I’m the Emerald Witch. I shall protect this village without fail!
(extremely hurt, very emotional) You were deceiving me… too… LIAR!!

A stern and stubborn lieutenant and butler to Sieglinde. He cares for her deeply but his faith is put to the test during the arc.

(aggrivated) So why’d you go in when you’d already been warned off, huh!? The wolfman has no desire to hurt people indiscriminately! Why won’t you understand!?

Diedrich is a long time friend of Vincent, Ciel's father, and comes to Ciel's aid while in Germany. He is easily irritated despite his fondness for the lad.

(astounded) What is this…!? What the blazes has he gotten himself mixed up in!?
(frantic) Don’t just stand there, you spineless runts! Run!! It’s Germany’s latest armoured land warship. A Panzer!!

Finnian, often Finny, is the bright and bubbly gardener of the Phantomhive house. Originally from Germany himself, Finny proves to be quite the asset and companion during the arc.

(a little emotional) I only knew how to destroy things… But you taught me how to keep them alive.

Mey-Rin is the bubbly maid of the Phantomhive manor. She's a bit klutzy but is always determined to succeed.

Snake is a shy and quiet young man. He rarely speaks on his own, but rather speaks for his snake companions (all nine of them). Each of his snakes has their own distinct personality and thus he "voices" them differently.

Hilde is one of Sieglinde's caretakers. She is very direct and wary of strangers. As a Major she is a stickler for the rules and very commanding.

The "wise woman" of the village and seemingly spouts nonsense, but she hides secret knowledge. She comes off as very superstitious and distrusting.

Tanaka is long time staff of the Phantomhive family. He is the "ideal gentleman" type and is consistently poised and dignified. Along with that though, Tanaka is often in his "chibi form" and doesn't say much.

(calm, determined) Finny. You two go on ahead. This old man shall deal with her. We will accomplish anything… that is at the behest of our master.

Ever the picture of grace and intelligence, Queen Victoria usually has a gentle disposition. She is, however, a very shrewd woman. She does occasionally, when reminded of her dearly departed Albert, become inconsolable.

A very eccentric individual, Undertaker is a big fan of jokes and jests. He will often go out of his way to stir trouble for his own amusement.

To fully flush out the scenes we need plenty of background characters that are unnamed. These have the potential of being filled by team members that are casted as other characters, or with auditions that we love but can't find a proper fit for within the rest of the cast.
