Welcome to Bearing Crosses, this is a Softcore Yaoi Project.
The story is about two best friends falling in love, and exploring the possibilities of their relationship despite all the challenges coming their way.

Jamie is a shy and very innocent boy who you just want to hug any moment you see him. He's got strong bottom vibes and he is very easy to make blush, flustered, or cry. He's emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve and his heart is for Alex
The only difference between older and younger other than voice change Jamie is he had developed abandonment issues and worries Alex will disappear again.

Jamie:
“I don’t think I can go much farther, go on without me”
(Said with overdramatic exhaustion)
*Jamie says while he falls to the ground in mock exhaustion*
Alex:
“(Giggle)Oh, come on silly you’re fine.”
*Alex says while standing over Jamie*
Jamie:
“No, I can’t I’m too weak, tell my mother I love her (Gasp, death gargle)”
(Said with overly dramatic weakness to his voice.)
*Jamie says as he reaches his hand up toward Alex then drops it and shuts his eyes as he plays dead*
Alex:
“Noo.. Jamies’ dead (fake sob) I guess we’ll have to bury him it’s the only way to respect the fallen.”
*Alex says as he kneels down to Jamie’s inanimate body and picks up some dirt then sprinkles it on Jamie’s face*
Jamie:
“(spitting) pphhh..pah.. Noo (giggle)..gah eww. (laugh) sttaap”
(Said while spitting and giggling/laughing like somebody is tickling him)
*Jamie says while giggling, rolling around and laughing a lot*

Jamie:
“Yeah! Sorry again I forgot my sleeping bag, it’s in storage.”
(Said With slight, stammering as he narrowly fails to catch the pillow)
*Jamie says as he barely is able to catch the pillow*
Alex:
“It’s all good, we can share the covers.”
*Alex says as he’s taking off his shirt (Slowly)*
Jamie:
“Thanks, I…….. “
(Said with a fluster at the end as he trails off)
*Jamie says as he turns to notice a very shirtless Alex*
Alex:
“Jamie?”
*Alex says while smiling at Jamie*
Jamie:
“Huh? Oh uhh..I.. sorry, I uh..I Just… well… what was the question?”
(Said with stutters while flustered)
*Jamie Says while completely flustered and blushing but trying to hide it*
Jamie:(these lines are as older Jamie)
“Yeah, he’s a little intense, but he’s not a bad guy.”
(Said in a explanatory way)
*Jamie says grabbing the drink Alex offers him.*
Alex:
“I’ll give him this, he sure can hold it back.”
*Alex says pulling Jamie in closer to him.*

“So,. they messed up your schedule?”
(Said, in a changing the subject way)
*Jamie says cuddling up to Alex*
Alex:
“(Chuckle) Yeah, I gotta head to the admissions office to see what’s going on with that in the morning, what about you?”
*Alex says wrapping his arm around Jamie*
Jamie:
“Umm, no I think I have all my classes, do.. Do you think we’ll be in any of the same ones?”
(Said, thoughtfully)
*Jamie says taking a sip from his drink*
Alex can be sly and confident he has an extroverted personality but he has a deeper depression that we see later on as he has self-inflicted scars on his arms in college he tries to not let anyone bother him or get under his skin and as a result, he doesn't get too close to other people with Jamie being the exception
Young Alex is a carefree Extrovert
Older Alex has gone through some things and has fought to remain true to himself and now that he's out of his parent's grasp he will fight like hell to be who he is but the struggle is hard sometimes. it should be clear in the tone of voice that he has become a broken person but hides it, however, Jamie is the only thing that makes him feel whole.

Alex:
“Jamie?”
(Said while noticing Jamie spacing out.)
*Alex says while smiling at Jamie*
Jamie:
“Huh? Oh uhh..I.. sorry, I uh..I Just… well… what was the question?”
*Jamie Says while completely flustered and blushing but trying to hide it*
Alex:
“(Laugh) I said which side of the bed do you want?”
(Said while laughing at Jamie's cute stutter)
*Alex says gesturing to the bed*
Jamie:
“Oh, yeah I’ll just take this side (Laugh)”
*Jamie says picking up the corner of the blanket and making his way under the covers*
Alex
“Sweet!, I normally sleep on this side anyway.”
(Said very casually)
*Alex says while both of them get into the be*
Alex:
“Are you tired? Or do you wanna stay up talking?”
(Said in a whisper kinda hoping he wants to chat)
*Alex whispers while lying looking up at the ceiling*
Jamie:
“I can stay up I don’t even feel a little tired.”
*Jamie whispers while turning on his side to look at Alex*
Alex:
“That’s surprising, normally you’re always falling asleep, like in sunday school”
(Said with a tiny bit of a tease in his voice)
*Alex whispers while turning on his side to look at Jamie now face to face*
Jamie:
“Yea, sorry about that I didn’t sleep much the night before..”
*Jamie whispers as he blushes a bit*
Alex:
“It’s alright, I didn’t mind, having you close to me made me feel kinda nice..”
(Said while trying to both open up and not reveal too much)
*Alex whispers as he smiles and looks at Jamie’s eyes, Jamie Blushes*
Alex:
“I like being close to you,”
(Said with a bit of seduction while scooting over in bed so a bit of a readjustment grunt)
*Alex whispers as he moves closer in the bed to Jamie now close enough for Jamie to feel the warmth of Alex’s breath and he blushes more*
Alex:
“Do you like being close to me?”

*Alex whispers while leaning in their noses touching sides just centimeters from kissing as Jamie’s mouth unconsciously opens just a bit in expectation*

(Said with a fake sense of being dishonored)
*Alex says as he grabs Jamie’s stick with a marshmallow on it before he drops it as he gets strangled*
Abigail:
“Uh no, you can’t protect dirt. Plus Jamie is cute and cuddly.“
*She says as she finally let’s Jamie go and he begins to get his breath back*
Alex:
“(Laugh) Yea I guess he is cute,”
(Said in a agreeing and teasing/joking manner )
*Jamie’s eyes widen as he blushes at this statement*
Alex:
“Whereas for being cuddly we’ll have to see tonight won’t we. (Laugh)”
(Said as a fake flirty joke but one that is poorly received the laugh is Said as laughing at his own joke but he realises nobody else is laughing )
*Alex Jokes as everyone remains silent and Jamie blushes*
Alex’s Mother:
“ALEXANDER STANFORD Don’t make jokes like that. You’ve made your friend uncomfortable.”
*Alex’s Mother says after overhearing the conversation*
Alex:
“Sorry mom”
(Said in a shrinking defeated way)
*Alex says shinikingly poking his stick into the fire*
Alex’s Mother:
“Don’t apologise to me, apologize to Jamie, you’ve made him uncomfortable.”
*Alex’s Mother says Gesturing at Jamie whose face is now pale*
Alex:
“I, I’m sorry Jamie.”
(Said in a defeated and apologetic soft voice.)
*Alex says head held low not even able to make eye contact with his friend*

Alex:
“Sorry, I have to get in line early if I want to have my schedule fixed.”
(Said apologetically with a smile at how cute Jamie is)
*Alex says smiling at Jamie looking cute wearing his shirt*
Alex:
“I, uh I just need my shirt, this one won’t fit me.”
(Said in a seductive way as he begins to strip Jamie)
*Alex says holding up Jamie’s shirt and pants and beginning to unbutton Jamie’s Shirt*
Jamie:
“Alex! Chad’s right there.”
*Jamie says as he blushes and tries to stop Alex*
Chad:
“All Good bros, I gotta get a shower anyway I think somebody poured beer in my hair”
*Chad says stumbling off toward the dorm*
Alex:
“Bye Chad, Now, where were we? Oh yes you were about to give me my shirt.”
(Said casually calling after Chad, then turning back to Jamie in a seductive tone with a smile on)
)*Alex says as he continues to unbutton Jamie*
Jamie:
“At least give me my clothes first.”
*Jamie says reaching for is clothes*

*Alex says raising his arm holding the clothes way higher than Jamie could hope to reach*
*Jamie purses his lips but Alex doesn't lean down*

“I’m waiting”

*Alex says as he stands straight, smiling at Jamie*

“Wha?”
*Jamie says, then with a sigh of resignation he tries to pull himself up Alex’s body*

“Need a hand”

*Alex says as with his free hand he grabs Jamie’s bottom cheek and pulls him up*
Chad:
“Oh.. Hey! You must be my roomie uh?”
(Said in a exited and happy way)

“I’m Chad!,”

Mark is Jamie's Older Brother he's a bigger guy and is a man of few words he is quick to criticize or make a snarky comment but in his own way, he tries to care about his family.

*Jamie stammers as he tries to explain.*

“You’re trying to impress that Abby girl right?”

Ava is a transgeder female who meets Jamie at collage, where she has a bit of a crush on him (who wouldn't) she lives in the same dorms as Jamie, she often will be at collage events attempting to socialize but ending up drinking too much instead
Ava:
“It’s just over that way by those two chatting”
(Said with a friendly up beat voice)
*She says pointing toward two guys talking against a wall*
Jamie:
“Oh. ok, thanks”
*Jamie says as he turns in the direction she pointed him to*

“I’m Ava By the way, what’s your name?”

“Paul lives next door to them, apparently they moved.”
(Said continuing the gossip )

Paul is seen gossiping with some kids he lived next to Alex

“Wh?.. What? Moved!?”
*Jamie says stunned*
Paul:
“It’s true, I saw them loading the truck earlier this week.”
(Said in a matter fact way)
*Paul says informing Jamie*
Jamie:
“What, Why?”
*Jamie Asks as he begins to choke down tears attempting to not believe it*
Paul:
“I overheard their mom talking about some kind of treatment for one of her kids on the phone.”
(Said gossipy)
*Paul says continuing*
Ryan:
“Ten bucks says it’s Abby, she’s always angry, she must have a brain tumor or something.”
*Ryan says as Jamie’s struggles to hold back tears*
Paul:
“(Laugh) Yeah, plus she’s got to have a brain tumor to be into Jamie.”
(Said in a joking manner)
*Paul jokes as Jamie’s tears can’t be held back anymore and he runs off crying*
Paul:
“Jamie! Was just kidding!”
(Said apologetically calling after Jamie)
