Project Overview

War... War is an endless bloodbath that stains the surface of our world in any age. It's been around since the world was created, and it will no doubt be here long after we're gone. Not many people thought about the suffering that radiates from the violence of war, for they only saw the goals of succeeding... but what if I told you someone was capable of seeing past that vision of success - a changing in the tides?

Emma Murdock was one of the few souls to see past that cloud of greed. After a tragedy strikes home and a loved one is lost, she runs away and enlists into the army under the name Artemis to try and save the remainder of her family. Emma goes through many hardships, and makes grave sacrifices to write the worlds wrongs and end war altogether... But will she make it in time?


I'd like to start this off by saying thank-you to everyone who stopped by to check out this project, it means so much to me to know you're interested in auditioning! I also wanna make sure everyone knows this is an UNPAID project. I wish I could pay all of you, but at this time I am unable to. What I can do as a form of payment is give all who are casted an honest recommendation with a good review of your work, for I know you're all amazing! With that being said, I'll tell you a bit about this project.


ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Battlefield is actually a story idea I am working on, but wanted to do the story a bit more, and make the ending into an animation. I've always imagined the story as kinda a movie and wanted to see it in that sort of format. If you'd like to audition, I ask that you have these things below:

1. Please have nice and clear microphone quality ( If you don't have that, DO NOT worry, it won't diminish your chances at being casted, we could always work with the sound to polish the audio)

2. Be respectful of the other cast, and be as kind as possible. My main character hates violence, and as do I :D

3. I want you guys to really have fun! Give your desired roles your all!


This animation will be uploaded to YouTube upon completion for the world to see with proper credits to everyone who worked on it, not only in the video itself, but in the video description as well! I cannot wait to begin working with all of you - I am so excited! Also, I will be creating a Discord server once we begin casting people. So be on the look out for that! And lines will be summited through a google drive which you'll be given access to upon being casted! Good luck everyone!

  • Regarding Deadline

    You guys were alerted that the project ended, but that is not true. I have pushed the deadline back so we now have until June to decide upon a cast. I will continue to push the deadline back until more people audition - so that everyone may get a chance to audition for their desired roles. I simply forgot to move the deadline - a bad on my part. Anyway, thanks so much for the auditions we currently hold - and I look forward to hearing more from you guys! Have a great day everyone!

Emelia Murdock is our main protagonist in this short story. She is 18 years old, and has a relatively normal life. Before enlisting into the war, she was this high spirited go getter kinda girl... and I guess you can say that followed her even as she secretly enlisted into the army. After seeing what the war had done to her family, she only wanted to end it before anyone else could suffer the same way, even though many were already subjected to the pain before hand. After one family member left and came back broken, the army required more soldiers... Emma didn't want to lose any more family... taking the call for more soldiers, Emma leaves and becomes someone entirely new in order to save her family... but the further she goes, she discovers she's trying to save everyone. She's kind hearted, loving, and hates violence with all she is... She's determined to end all wars.

  • "Oliver, the EMP will radiate from the staff center point, you need to be cleared of the area before the pulse hits the battlefield!"

    (Speaking informative, kinda in a rush.)

  • "Ah! Damnit - come on we can make it!" 

    (Talking to yourself, well shouting. You're being shot at and you're trying to reach your destination.)

  • "I said ENOUGH!" 

    (Shouting loudly and with determination, trying to get everyone to hear you! How good is you battle cry?"

Oliver Kent is a 19 year old soldier fighting in the American war against our enemy, Blayisa. He was like any other other soldier. Young, scared, but willing. He joined to the war to save his father who was called to the front lines originally... Oliver was a boxer - something to do for sport, but he's never killed anyone. He was kind and intelligent, along with being highly persuasive. During his comabt training, Oliver met a mysterious woman who only called herself Artemis. They looked around the same age, so it was no surprise when they became friends. Oliver discoveres Artemis's plans to end the war altogether and offers his services to help in any way he can. Just let them try to take down the mighty duo!

  • "You better be right about this Artemis. If this doesn't work I-... I'm just saying you still have an out, I can still have Leon turn this thing around before we get to the battlefield."

    (Speaking worriedly in the first part until he is cut off, and on the second half of the line he talks in a soft and serious manner)

  • "Hey - we've already come this far, what more could we possibly lose?... Mighty Duo to the end right?"

    (Speaking confidently, and on the final sentence he's a bit more serious as he fist bumps his friend for what could possibly be the last time.)

  • "Holy shit... Look at that!"

    (Speaking in utter disbelief.)

Leon Gray is a 30 year old pilot of the US battle planes. He's a bit stubborn, but has a kind heart somewhere under that uniform. He first joined the war because his father had followed that path, and his grandfather as well. He only wanted to make his family proud, and that's still his ultimate goal - even though he betrays superior orders to help one discharged soldier get back onto the battlefield after she reveals a plan to him on how to end this war once and for all. That'll make a good story to tell his kids when he goes back home right?

  • "You've gotta be outta you're goddamn mind if you think this is gonna work!... So you've got a death wish, is that it?"

    (In a bit of disbelief, but still a serious tone nonetheless.)


  • "Kid, this is you're stop - I can't go any further, it's far to close to the enemy lines, I'm already struggling to keep this plane in the air!"

    (In a bit of a panic, and struggle.)

  • "And kid... Good luck."

    (Making an attempt to catch someone's attention, and on the final part, being sincere.)

Michael Ironwood (Code name: General)

Michael Ironwood is the General of the US army. He is 45 years old, and has been serving in the army since he was 18. He never stayed in one place for too long, for he was constantly being moves from place to place to help navigate the war. he is well respected, and only seeks to gain a victory for the US. The war was going in their favor until the newest batch of soldiers dropped in - the batch being refered to as the Oblivion. It wasn't the Oblivion squad in total that was the issue... just one soldier from the group. Artemis Jaeger. She was an odd one... He had reson to suspect her - she always spoke back against the army's methods and refused to do as told when it came to battle time. General Ironwood soon discovers Artemis Jaeger is really Emma Murdock, a missing teen from her hometown, and sends her back not only for her family, but to get a troublesome soldier off his battlefield... but what happenes when a cargo plane disobeys orders and flies onto the battlefield, carrying some prescious cargo?

  • "Cargo plane 251, turn back now! That is an order!"

    (Shouting angrily, and seriously.)

  • "I want every cannon to fire upon that traitor!"

    (Speaking in an angry tone, raising his voice as he does.)

  • "She set off the EMP Magnetizer..."

    (Speaking in utter disbelief)

Samantha Galloway (Code name: President of the United States)

Samantha Galloway is the President of the United States. The first woman President to be elected. She is 43 years old, and simply wants this war to be over. War is not what she wanted for her people, but is willing to participate in order to protect all she can. She is a kind hearted woman, and does the best she can to make her people happy, but has a hard time proving it as she is always having to send her peoples family members back in caskets. She's already having enough time having to deal with a runaway teen trying to play hero, but as the war is reaching it's climax, and the rogue soldier resurfaces, is she going to be willing to listen to the call for peace?

  • "It seems one of General Ironwood's cargo planes went rogue. Number 251... Whose the pilot?"

    (Trying to figure everything out. She's talking to herself mainly in the first part, but asks a nearby worker the name of the Pilot.)

  • "I-... I don't believe it... She dismantled both sides defenses, there's nothing left!"

    (Speaking in utter disbelief at what she witnessed.)

  • "Uh... Tell them to stand down, I'd like to hear her out."

    (Speaking softly, but remaining serious as she watches the battle take place from the news crew on the field)

Kieran Huffman (Code name: President of Blaysia)

Kieran Huffman is the President of Blaysia. He is 48 years old and is simply trying his best to take the victory of this war and go back to a peaceful life not having to deal with their neighboring nation the US. Kieran is a kind and wise man, but he knows that when it comes to war, no one is ever capable of listening to reason. His side was holding up alright, but they definately were not winning - but that didn't stop him from sending in his men full force. All he cared about was his people and the protection of his home, so when a soldier from the US side comes charging for the battlefield center, you can imagine his curiosity... and panic. Will he finally get his chance to speak peacefully? Or is this soldier like all the rest?

There is no Blaysian language, so I just put it as French since in my story they don't have american accents, you can be creative with his accent if you want :D

  • "Do not let that soldier breach the front lines! Shoot her down - that's an order!"

    (Upon seeing a soldier charging for the front lines, panics, and orders his men to take them out)

  • "You've done me a huge favor, and I don't think there is any way I could possibly every thank you!"

    (Speaking in a tone of happiness, and gratefulness)

  • "What is that....?"

    (See's something that puts him into a state of shock)
