Battle in 5 Seconds Synopsis
Logic puzzle genius Akira Shiroyanagi and many others are plucked from modern-day Japan and thrown into an unfamiliar room. With shackles around their wrists, they are informed that no one will miss them, the world believes they are dead, and they are the new test subjects for groundbreaking research. The research in question entails abilities that can enhance a body's capability and bend the fabric of reality. Most are left quaking in fear, but Akira can't help but find the challenge exciting.
Each of them is given an ability unknown to anyone else and is soon thrust into various trials. Nothing is off the table from fighting one-on-one duels to large battle royales—not even death. As the group comes to grips with the dreadful turn of events, Akira determines to outsmart everyone standing in his way and unravel the enigma surrounding this mysterious organization.
About the Project
This will be a long-term fandub of the manga of Battle in 5 Seconds. We're currently planning to dub the first volume and see where it goes from there, but first we wanted to get the first chapter out to have something to show. Familiarity with the source material is a nice plus, but not required. Scheduling for lines will be discussed once everyone is casted. A few major things to note:
- This project is 16+ only. Please do not audition if you are under the age of 16, and please don't lie about your age, that's cringe.
- Please have a good quality microphone with minimal background noise.
- Be available and willing to retake lines in a timely manner if we need you to.
- Be comfortable working under a schedule.
- We are not looking for impressions of any existing voice actors, we are looking for quality auditions. Coming in with clean, original takes will get you a lot farther than just trying to do an impression.
- Discord is required for communication. Leave your discord in the comments of your audition.
- Audition in the AABBCC format, with unique takes for each line, if you're looking to impress.

Mion is the ringmaster of the battles, and one of the "masterminds" behind everything. She's bubbly and sardonic, and openly sadistic, but in a playful way. She has a special interest in Akira, the main character, and tends to act favorably toward him. She has cat ears and a cat tail, so try to inject a "cat-like" playfulness into the voice.
