Hello! This is the first casting call for a Youtube project called Voices Of Our Work!
(With any luck, that name won’t stay a goofy name in attempt to do some fun work with Artists, Writers and Voice Actors!)
The short end of it is Voices Of Our Work is a project to create Audio Dramas based off Fan Fiction— many written in house, but hopefully with many sent in, as well! If you’d like to learn more about Voices Of Our Work, be sure to go and follow me here at @SwitchThaWeirdo to see updates or message me personally! (Until an official account might just pop up for VOOW pops up in the near future!)
Right now, we are in need of three male voice actors and a Narrator (anyone contesting for the Narrator!) to portray the characters involved with the Fan Fic at hand. These will be non-paid roles and one-time positions!
Have fun and break a leg!
Guidelines
● No background noise, reverb, pops or hisses up the best of your ability. XLR microphones are preferred, but we will accept USB’s if they are treated well.
● Maximum of 2 takes per line.
● ABC takes or AA BB CC takes are fine, whichever you’re comfortable with!
If you have any questions. Feel free to DM me on Twitter (@SwitchThaWeirdo) and I’ll be sure to help in any way that I can!

Highly Intelligent, skeptical, sarcastic, dry sense of humor, lack of empathy, socially awkward
“Kira needs a face and a name in order to commit murder. [Dryly, sarcastic.] But I’m sure you already figured that much out, haven’t you?”
"I suspect that you, Light Yagami, are in fact Kira. Now...if you still want to ask me something, then please go ahead."
[A tinge of boredom as he explains.] "If Kira knew we were here already, he’d likely have had the means to killing us by now. Though, I do believe he needs both a face and a name to accomplish that...so even if that were Kira on the other side of that door, we’d be safe. So long as he doesn’t know our full names, of course. "
Calm, Patient, Courteous, Attentive, Cordial, very matter-of-fact.
“Ordinarily, I would never show my face to any of you. The fact that I’m here is proof that you’ve won Ryuzaki’s trust.”
[At first, explanatory before curiously asking.] "Ryuzaki, early on in the investigation you specifically told me that if a task force member were to lose their job under any circumstances, I should make preparations to ensure that their family’s financial future was secure. If you recall, a trust was set aside for that very purpose. I’m a little curious as to why you’re withholding this information?"
[On edge/worried, but not quite scared.] "There was a knock at the door...but, as you know, our room is labeled condemned to all but the Hotel Staff, who were instructed not to bother us. No one should know we are here. Do you think this is the work of Kira? Has he found us?! "
Trustful, Charismatic, Funny, Sarcastic, Charming, a Natural-Born Leader.
“Packs quite the punch for a toaster on steroids, doesn’t it? Need a hand? [Playfully after being turned down] ...okay, well... How about I stick around and watch?”
“ A dormant oil rig belonging to Ra’s, part of a shell company...went active a few weeks back. Thought that was interesting."
[In playful response to being asked to prove it’s him] "My...former associate has a thing for bats? You took up a pipe to quit smoking cigarettes? Wait, howzabout— ...HOLY MISTAKEN IDENTITY!"
Just looking for a nice smooth voice to both contrast with our leads and help weave our tale! Bring your best!
"A few moments later, Ryuzaki was face-to-face with one of his own. Taking time to finish his delectable sweets, he politely dabbed at his cheek with a napkin before meeting curious eyes with the newcomer's stoic gaze from under the legendary cowl. Most of The Bat's large frame remained hidden under his onyx cloak. It struck as something of a cape, too, perhaps. However, given by the comfort in which the Dark Knight rested under it, letting it cling to him like a second skin, surely there must have been a multitude of uses for it— likely defensive, if the prodigy had to surmise."
"L's inquiry was coupled with his unwrapping a small piece of candy to pop into his mouth, never breaking eye contact with The Bat. The hero's face— or what was shown of it— was hardened nearly as much as some of the criminals L had taken down in his career. He'd clearly been doing this for some time; peered into the true depths of which human evil could reach. Rugged as his visible face had been, however, it was not due to his expression. Realistically, Batman had nearly mimicked L's expression back at him from under the mask, in a way. Almost as if the prodigy were staring into a skewed mirror..."
