Bad Cops: “Spring Trapped” [FNAF Comedy Series – Crew Hiring]

Bad Cops: “Spring Trapped” [FNAF Comedy Series – Crew Hiring]

Project Overview

“Bad Cops” is a dark humor FNAF-themed comedy series following two terrible cops, Vinnie and Tony—who are so bad at their jobs that they accidentally solve crimes through sheer luck, stupidity, and blind instinct. It’s like Brooklyn Nine-Nine if the precinct was run by idiots and set inside the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s.

This is a full series moving forward with its own style, tone, and ongoing content. The story doesn’t have to follow a strict continuity.

Episodes will run around 15 minutes and feature a blend of GMod Machinima, gritty FNAF-inspired horror environments, and offbeat buddy-cop comedy.

📋 WHAT TO EXPECT (FOR WRITERS):

  • Episodes involve murder scenes, haunted pizzerias, animatronics, and incredibly dumb cop logic.

  • We’re aiming for a consistent tone of dark humor, not exactly horror. (Think: “They just tasered Balloon Boy because he looked like he was reaching.”)

  • You’ll be working closely with the creators to match the energy of the pilot episode.

  • We work with Google Docs, and feedback is quick and minimal (usually just one review round).

🎮 What to Expect (for 8-Bit Animator):

We’re looking for an 8-bit animator to create a short, retro-style intro animation for the series. Think early arcade vibes—simple pixel art with personality, chaos, and a little FNAF-flavored madness.

The intro will be about 10–20 seconds long, featuring Vinnie and Tony in all their dumb glory: chasing animatronics, accidentally shooting vending machines, and probably falling down while solving a case.

🎞️ What to Expect (for Trailer Editor):

We’re looking for a trailer editor to cut together a fast-paced, funny, and slightly chaotic teaser trailer for Bad Cops. This trailer will introduce the tone, characters, and world of the series to new viewers—think of it as a 30 to 60-second hype reel that screams, “This is dumb, dark, and worth watching.”

You’ll be working with GMod machinima footage, character voice lines, music, and a few custom clips. Your job is to capture the feel of the show: dark humor, haunted environments, and two idiot cops somehow getting the job done.

Paid: Flat Rate 15 USD

Your job is to create the main story for each episode. You’ll come up with the idea, plan out what happens from beginning to end, and make sure the episode has a clear (but fun and chaotic) flow. You’ll think of weird and funny situations for Vinnie and Tony to mess up—like haunted animatronics, hostage mix-ups, or breaking all the rules but still solving the case. You’ll work closely with the dialogue writer to make sure there’s space for jokes, character moments, and visual gags. This role is great for someone who understands how stories work but loves throwing in wild twists and unpredictable humor.

you’ll bring the episode to life through character dialogue and scene-level writing. You’ll be responsible for writing all the banter, arguments, panic, dumb jokes, and ridiculous exchanges between Vinnie, Tony, and anyone unlucky enough to interact with them. You’ll also describe the action of each scene—how characters move, react, or fumble their way through haunted hallways and crime scenes. Your job is to make each moment feel alive and absurd, while keeping the tone fast-paced and sharp. Whether it’s Vinnie trying to arrest a trash can or Tony monologuing about donuts during a chase scene, you’ll be in charge of delivering the humor and energy that defines the series. Strong comedic timing, an ear for character voice, and an appreciation for parody are essential.

You’ll design and animate a short 8-bit style intro for the series, capturing the retro arcade vibe. This animation will be 10–20 seconds long and feature Vinnie and Tony getting into ridiculous situations. You’ll bring pixel art to life with movement and personality that fits the show’s silly, chaotic tone. Previous pixel animation experience is preferred but not required if you’re eager to learn.
