Baccano! Abridged Series
Project Overview
For any one interested in helping with an abridged series of the anime Baccano, I currently have a script for episode 1 and am looking for voice actors who are also fans of the series. Most of the characters are from 1930s America, more specifically New York and Chicago, so keep in mind that these characters would have these accents. For this version, some changes have been made; the most notable vocally is that Ladd's gang is from Alabama, so southern accents are also needed. Please check the accent tab before you record audio. Also this is a hobby project for me as well as anyone involved. First episode script already finished, but welcome criticism is appreciated. People 18 and older please. Decent quality microphone setup preferred. Feel free to contact my discord: MeHasAHat#2433
Still needed for episode 1: Gustav St. Germain
Possibly: Luck, Maiza and Isaac

Pretty much same as show. 1930s New York accent.
I’m Firo Prochainezo of the Martillo family, ya got that!
Ain’t that the truth!
#Hello, old friends, how long has it been?
#That, my friend, is a story for another time.

One of the biggest changes in this abridged series is that Ladd's whole crew is from Alabama, Ladd himself has a low southern accent. Kind of imagine Negan from the Walking Dead if he were more blood-thirsty and a little less charismatic.
You’re not scared of me now are ya? Maybe I should just kill you now.
Basically the narrator of the story.
#Now, then who would you say are our main characters of this story?
#Well, we had to stay within the theme of this story somehow didn’t we?

Is a young woman growing up in the richest part of New York during the 1930s.
You know I can hear you right? You’re whispering like five feet away from me.
Same idea with the 1930's New York accent.

Pretty much same as show. 1930s New York accent. Is more of a sophisticated gangster. Has more of a neutral voice.
Well, you’re in a very unfortunate predicament, now aren’t you?
Personally I think it’s a bit pretentious.
Not much of a socialite, then, is he?
So, we get any info from that Runarata bastard yet?
Let me at that sonovabitch!
*Say something you think would fit*
The boss of the Runaratas. Has a composed and cold demeanor. Trying to get a Marlon Brando from The Godfather vibe with him.
Surely you haven’t forgotten. You killed his father and older brother.
Just do whatever you see fit, just make sure this is handled.
I honestly don't care what happens to that piece of trash.
More impulsive member of the Runarata Gang. Is more quiet/respectful around Bartolo. Has more of a gruff voice. Don't know the "Godfather" equivalent, sorry.
Change of plans guys, were gonna take out Dallas Genoard!
(Speaking with Bartolo) Come on boss we can take the Gandors, no problem...they’re just a small time operation.
(Speaking with Bartolo) Well he ain’t gonna be knowin’ it for too much longer. Unless you want him alive of course.
*Say something you think would fit*
Torturer for the Gandors. 1930s New York accent. Slightly sinister in his voice.
(ominous) Well, what the hell! I’ll take one more.
Politician who cares only about his public image, even if the people closest to him are endangered. Probably a sociopath. More of a pompous voice, but only slightly.
How will this affect my popularity in the polls?

Reporter for a newspaper. Maybe talks a bit like an old-timey newscaster.

If I could I'd sell everyone's soul just to see the world smile. Does that make me a bad person?
The reason I asked you to look after Maiza is actually quite simple. I just wanted to see you smile.
