Aussie and the Masked Man! (if you're a fan of Star Wars and/or Indiana Jones, I want you!)
Project Overview
A kind, rugged yet childlike Australian survivalist/adventurer meets a masked man on his travels that becomes a formidable enemy! Adventures across the Earth - and the galaxy - await! Art style TBD, but for now think Clone Wars 2003 and Samurai Jack. Additional voices will need to be cast once this audition period ends.

There's gonna be a lot of moving parts with this, and I need someone who is organized, rolls with the punches and has a can do attitude to help.

Record zany stuff that inspires you! We'll generate ideas based on what you bring us. You'll be working closely with me and the sound editor. Ben Burtt is a great place to start in terms of what I'm looking for.

Someone to help me with ideas and the scripts. I am very collaborative and want to work with someone who has a great work ethic and gets excited when ideas are bouncing between creators! Let's tell a great story!

In order to help create ideas for the worlds we'll visit!

Spaceships! Star Wars is the main influence.

Think Bear Grylls, Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Steve Irwin, Crocodile Dundee and Michael Scott all rolled up into one. Takes himself seriously but is very goofy. A big heart for others. Have fun with it!
(to the masked man, after a witty back and forth) Well it's a standoff, then! Who'da thought that?
Y'know, most folks seem to want to make it out for themselves. Not me. I wanna help them.
Good golly, what's that up in the sky? It's like my saucer from breakfast went up and now it has a life of it's own! But - it don't sound like me saucer! What's going on?
A no nonsense hitman/bounty hunter. For the voice, think Steve Downes as Master Chief or Jeremy Bulloch as Boba Fett. Lean into that deep vocal fry!
Well well well. If it isn't the clueless adventurer himself. When are you gonna grow up already? You aren't cut out for this sort of thing.
These people are not kind to outsiders. You best stay close to me.
Oh. I think that might be a problem.
To help visualize all of the shots necessary before starting the animation process.

Someone to look over all the character animations and report to me on progress of the departments.

For the Aussie! Will coordinate and report to the supervising character animator.

Masked Man animator.

Background elements, groups of people, etc.
Say something you think would fit
Same as the first, but another slot.

Someone to edit it all together. Will be working closely with me and with the audio team.

I want a filmic look - reference blu-rays of older films such as Spielberg, Star Wars, Hitchcock etc. Technicolor. Chromatic aberration. All of that good stuff! You'll be working very closely with me and with the video editor.

This will be a very effects heavy project. I am an audio guy myself so I will be working very closely with you! You will also be working closely with the sound recordist so as to generate ideas for sounds. I am also looking for an older sound - think TCM films or set recordings from the 40's with optical hiss, crackles and all the movement/textures of those onscreen.

I need someone who is willing to work with me very collaboratively, as I am very picky when it comes to music/orchestration. I am looking for someone who will pull from John Williams inspiration wise in terms of orchestration/prominent melodies and older film scores in general such as Bernard Herrmann, Miklos Rosza, Max Steiner and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. I love the way older films sound and that's what I want to bring to this. Classical music such as Wagner, Stravinsky, Howard Hanson, Debussy and Maurice Ravel are welcome places to look for inspiration, as well as anything that is romantic/neoromantic or literally anything that you feel might work. I love the Hollywood sound of the 30's-50's. A big recording space/natural sounding reverb and knowledge on how to use samples well are required.

Working closely with the composer, the audio mixer and me to ensure optimal sound of the digital orchestra.

Performing footsteps, putting down pencils, and other textural sound details that will go into the final mix. I want it to be recorded old school - in a bigger room and farther away. Make everyone's footsteps sound like Fred Astaire, and be very sparing when you do the foley!

In the DAW, mark all the point in the track foley needs to be done. After the foley tracks come in from the foley artist (or ideally you Zoom call and work with them so as he does the foley, you just set it in the DAW session right then and there) you will make any adjustments as need be.
