Audio drama sample - the gift (1-2 min)
Project Overview
This is a sample to get a feel of how much it’d cost to produce a full audio, but it may also be posted to my website. The sample is taken from my short story Not a Violent Bone, a horror with supernatural elements.
Description:
George is afraid to tell his wife that she is still beautiful to him after the terrible accident that scarred one side of her face. More than anything he wants to find a job and get her the surgery she needs to correct a surgeon's rush job.
Lenore is going through much more than her husband will ever know. The feeling of being unattractive to him has broken her up to the point that she feels indifferent toward him, and she'll do anything to get her face restored—even if it means a little dark magic and illegal activity.

George is usually relaxed and laid back. When he comes in, this is still how he is, except he’s freezing cold and hurt. When Lenore becomes disappointed, he is upset because she doesn’t care about what happened to him.
(George just walked in from the bitter cold.)
She tricked me. I got her to the van and they robbed me. Took my phone.
(His wife is barely concerned about him, just upset that he’s failed. He’s trying to stay calm but he’s annoyed at her attitude.)
Are you kidding me? I just said I was robbed. They took the van and my phone and my wallet. I finally found someone nice enough to let me use the phone their phone but you didn't answer.

Lenore is a bitter woman. She is calm when George comes in from the cold, but quickly becomes upset when she finds out the girl got away. She talks to George like he’s a worthless child.
(Helping her husband in from outside. She’s concerned but not panicked)
Goodness, you're bleeding.
FX Lenore walks away and
(Lenore is fed up with her husband failing)
Try? All you ever do is try. When will you ever do? Nothing you ever do is good enough. Honestly when will you ever do something right for a change?
(Lenore gets choked in this scene. Can you give me a sample of progressively being choked)
