Project Overview
Spoilers for the Attack on Titan manga!
What is this?
A fan dub of the official Attack on Titan manga. Instead of dubbing the whole series from the beginning, we will start on chapter 117, all the way up till the end, chapter 139. Chapter 117 takes place right after season 4, episode 16. We are dubbing the manga for fans who cannot wait until the next episodes are released, but don't get as much excitement from the manga. This dub will have immersive sound effects, dramatic music, and feature quality voices from talented voice actors to provide a unique reading experience.

Release in parts
We will be complete this project in parts. By splitting up the work it makes it easier to complete the rest of the manga. Part 1 will include chapters 117-124 (8 chapters). After those chapters have been finished and are ready to upload, work on part 2 will begin, which will include chapters 125-132 (8 chapters). Part 3, the final part, will include chapters 133-139 (7 chapters). However, each chapter in the manga will have its own video. There won't be a part 1 video that encompasses all 7 chapters. Each chapter will be released individually, but won't be released until all chapters in the part are finished and ready to upload. The roles listed on this casting call are for characters that show up in part 1. Part 2 and part 3 characters will have casting calls open when we're ready to move on. If you are cast, you will voice that character in part 2 and 3 if the character is present.

Requirements:
Technical requirements: Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. USB microphones are not recommended, but depending on your audio engineering knowledge and your recording environment we could accept your audition.
Acting requirements: Many of AOT's characters tend to emote HEAVILY- as such those roles will probably involve shouting or yelling and even a bit of cursing in some capacity at some time or another. If you cannot commit to the needs of a given role, please do not audition.
Discord requirement: Discord is required to join the official server for this project. This project will be doing live recording sessions, meaning that you and I (or another director) will be in a Discord voice channel to record most of your lines. This helps prevent lines coming in late and to also help improve the quality of acting.
Time requirement: This will be a lengthy project, so please be prepared to stay with us for as long as it takes to record lines. Our goal is to complete the rest of the manga before episode 17 is released next year, in January.
Knowledge of source material: Work on this project will be done with the assumption that you are somewhat knowledgeable of the source material. I don't want to have to explain in-depth about characters or plot points, but if you need refreshers you are welcome to ask or search on the wiki.

A few final notes:
- PLEASE DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS
- For auditions, please provide at least 2 takes for each line. Showcase your acting skill by varying your line delivery.
- Voice references are in the description of most roles. It is not necessary to completely mimic the voice if you can't, but getting it close would be preferable. Remember, the most important factors I listen for are acting ability and sound quality.
- At the end of your audition, please provide some gasps and reaction sounds, such as ones in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZT604JWkxA&ab_channel=Whang%21 This will act as proof that you have read through this description.
- .wav files would be preferred, but if the file is too large when submitting, mp3 is fine.
- You may audition for as many roles as you like. Just because the role is very minor, please give it a shot! You can be cast for multiple roles!

[Yelling to the Braus family, whom also have Gabi] Oi! Are you okay!? Did you kill that titan!? What's with that weapon!? Did that kid do it? Wait... is she the brat who invaded us from Marley!? Answer! Or else...!

[Just got a terrifying vision] AAAH! What the... I was suddenly in a strange place... what did he say? Did you hear it? The titans are coming to kill us...

[Yelling, desperate, pleading, panic, stressed, high emotion, talking to Beast Titan] Please wait! Falco, he...! He has accidentally ingested your spinal fluid! Don't scream! You know it, right Mr. Zeke!? I took the right of succession to the Beast so that my family won't be sent to heaven! To be honest, before you betrayed us I never understood what you were thinking at all, never! I don't think you'd be the type of person what would allow children to be involved so easily! Just, please... don't involve my little brother! (Ch. 119)
[Beaten up, tired] While I was out there... about to die in the collapse of the walls... it seems you lead the titan suppression. Jean.

[Trying to be hushed and secretive, but failing] Don't say things like "outside the walls" in front of other people. (Sasha ignores him and talks about the walls) ...I told you not to say it!
[Frustration but not yelling] I've been saying ever since we were trainees that this guy was dangerous... Eren is leading us all straight to hell. A real piece of shit, that guy. And that bastard... I envied him. Because he was so damn cool...
[In despair, lost and confused] I never thought... he would massacre humanity outside of the walls but... if humanity outside of the walls were to disappear, all of the grudges would disappear as well... our enemies who feared our continued existence would also all be crushed flat. In other words... this is... the result that those guys on the outside brought on themselves... there was... nothing we could do about it... right?
[Commanding, inspiring] I don't remember teaching you to just stand there and freeze in terror while facing off the titans! Put on your three dimensional maneuver equipment! There are still some old gears left! Follow my lead! If there's anyone left who wants to survive, that is!

Nile's role in this part of the manga is to reunite Falco with Gabi. Pretty small.
[Talking to Falco while locked up in the room] But you surely have a family waiting for your return, right? If you miss this chance you'll never be able to go home. I... most likely won't be able to meet my wife and daughters again. With a single scream from Zeke... I'd become a monster. (Ch. 118)
[Stressed, hurried] The Marleyan army attack from the sky with their blimps! Approximately 500 solders got attacked by the Armor, Jaw, and Cart simultaneously! Eren is facing them alone!
[Regret, out of breath, choking on words] I.. really... did not know... about the wine, or the euthanasia plan... same for the other volunteers...
[Urgency, defensive, projecting, pleading] I don't want to help with the euthanasia of Eldians! We wanted to develop Paradis Island and defeat Marley together! We abandoned everything and came to this island for this purpose. We devoted ourselves for the sake of everyone on this island.
[Panic, fear, stressed] What are you doing Frieda!? Kill that man, quick! The Founding Titan is invincible! Kill him! (Ch. 121)

[Talking to himself] Who could've imagined it. The military's best artilleryman rising to become its highest ranking officer... how the Marleyan army has fallen.
["Oh great, well isn't this just fantastic"-type of tone, annoyance, sarcasm, seriousness] ...He's here. The boy wonder.
[Yelling, pleading, dire, hurried] Eren! Can you hear me?! Please come out of your titan's body! We need to hide you inside and use the power of the War Hammer to escape underground! The odds are against you if you fight here! (Ch. 117)
[Amazement, awe] The gate of Shiganshina District has been blocked... Zeke has taken down the ship. The moment that's going to change history... is almost here. (Ch. 118)
[Cocky, confident, "haha I win you lose" type feel] Seems obvious they must have been defeated by Zeke. He showed up at the time and place he had agreed on with Eren like he had promised to.
