Ashen One
Project Overview
A Box of Tales is a collaborative project consisting of artists from
around the globe, combining comic-like animations with narrated short
stories, all based on video games.
Ashen One is our second story and I based around the Dark souls games.

Although initially this wont be paid, if we
start making money from the video you will get some of that money for
your time. This may also lead to multiple gigs as we do have a lot of
stories and are looking for some one who would like to work with us
across many projects.

The bells toll and the graves stir. The undead Ashen Ones are called to fight. Our protagonist finds himself waking up in his tomb, still wearing the armor he had been buried with. Imagine waking up from the longest nap ever, and barely knowing what body part goes between your shoulders. This is what he’s going through, like his mind is covered in cobwebs. Slowly he wakes and finds himself a stranger in a hostile world. He doesn’t know what’s going on. He only knows that he is called to fight.
We are looking for a Deep, Low, smokey voice.
My fingers touch stone. Except they don't. I have a second layer of
skin, made of metal. The stone is everywhere. I don’t want to be here. I
want out. I want light. Warmth.Before I can act my left arm raises the shield in its hand and swats his
weapon aside, leaving the corpse-man's chest exposed for my right arm
to drive my sword into his heart with a swift and brutal jab.Once more I drag my heavy body forward, up the road, my sword and shield
steady in my hands. Behind me silence fills the empty grave. My grave.
