Arceus's Wish - Chapter 3 Casting

Project Overview

Hello, Deppy here!

Arceus's Wish, my Pokemon semi-animated show, has been doing wonderfully on YouTube thus far!
We're about to begin production of the third chapter, and need some new voices to fill in supporting roles!

"Arceus's Wish" is a series that gives the world of Mystery Dungeon some fresh, original new lore, as well as a dark twist, in order to create a new and compelling story. It contains depictions of blood and some horror elements, so be warned - watch our existing chapters before applying to make certain you are comfortable with the subject matter!

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have clear microphone quality (Meaning no popping, background noise, loud hissing or static)

- - P.S. (If you do not have a good microphone now, but plan on getting one later, I ask that you please wait to audition when your setup is upgraded. If that is past the deadline of the project, I am sorry to say that I will not be able to cast you without knowing exactly what you will sound like beforehand.)

- Must provide two to three variations of each given line, in an AA-BB-CC format.
- Understand that the nature of these roles mean there won't be lines for you in every chapter, so there may be long breaks between when we needyou to record. However, being on the team, there is always a chance we may call on you to provide voices for other characters we feel you'd be suited for.

STORY SYNOPSIS:

Tremors rattle the earth. Clouds roll over the hills, cover all light -- until a little shooting star breaks through the dark.
now all light is blotted out except one tiny glow far, far away. There, a young man wakes up to find his world has... Changed.

Kyle had lived alongside pokemon all his life, and always longed to form stronger and deeper bonds with them. He did not, however, expect it to be in such a personal level: now having become a pokemon himself overnight, Kyle must embark on a search for answers in a world where only pokemon exist, and rediscover himself and his past -- all while trying to rid the Pokemon world (as well as his own) from the unspeakable evil which threatens to consume them whole.

A burden on his shoulders and a strange adaptation period ahead of him, can young Kyle still prove himself worthy of this quest? Can he discover the true meaning of his existence in a world of mystery dungeons, and unearth the secret to victory?

  • Ooh. Dramatic.

Thank you so much to those who audition: let's make this story the best it can be!

Role assigned to: mattingham

Suri is a young Machop, but is uncharacteristically sickly. This led to him finding an occupation as a technician and scientist at a big powerplant, where he takes pride in being able to help people despite his socially awkward nature.

We're looking for a shy, stuttery and nerdy voice, but one that can also become confident and engaged - as he is when talking about something he enjoys.

  • So sorry about earlier, I… almost forgot. But I’m glad you’re here! N-not many people take interest in visiting, but I suppose that just gives me more time to focus on my work.

  • … and so, electric type Pokemon can hold on to the cables and charge them while they rotate clockwise around the room, which will eventually send the energy up to the big device above our heads!

  • [Efforts, battle cries, yells, interjections - go crazy!]

Mr. Spotsworth is a knowledgeable, dedicated librarian. He is kind and eager to help, with a joyful and bouncy but always quiet disposition.

We're looking for a higher pitched, classic old librarian voice, ideally with a distinct accent.

  • Shhh! Quiet down, now, friends. People are enjoying the peace and quiet here, and we do not want to break that.

  • This journal belonged to an explorer from years past. I’ve read it a few times myself, I do believe it makes mention of something to the sound of humans somewhere here near the end, so it’s the best I can do for you.

  • Not a problem, my boy, hardly mention it! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I shall continue my affairs in the section across the way. Ta ta!
