Project Overview

The Opportunity

Arcadia Dubs is officially returning, and we're looking for talented voice actors to help bring Sonic fan comics to life. Over the years, we've produced dubs for numerous comics, including stories from the Sonic fan community and beyond. As we relaunch the project, we're excited to welcome both new and returning talent to help us tell even more amazing stories.

Whether you're an experienced voice actor or someone looking to gain more experience, this is a great opportunity to be part of a creative and passionate team dedicated to celebrating Sonic fan content.

What You'll Be Doing

Comic Dub Voice Acting: Bringing comic characters to life through engaging and expressive performances.

Character Interpretation: Working with established characters while adding your own personality and creativity to each role.

Community Collaboration: Joining a team of voice actors who share a passion for Sonic and storytelling.

What We're Seeking

  • We're Closing Up Shop!

    Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm and support for this project. All of your hard work and talent is what made this possible, and we're so grateful for the experiences we've all gained throughout this.

    That being said, auditions are officially closed! We've unbelievably hit 150 submissions 10 whole days before the deadline! (We are counting submissions that have been deleted in this number)

    We have gone through all auditions and made shortlists and dismissals, so please check on your submission for updates! We will be contacting those who are cast either through CCC or Discord (if provided).

    Thank you all so much, and please be on the lookout for anymore casting calls we may do for this project!

  • Audition Deadline Update

    Hello, everyone!

    We can't believe we've already hit 100 submissions!! Thank you all so much for all of your dedication and talent to this project! It's been an absolute joy listening to all of your amazing auditions.

    We didn't expect this project to take off as quickly as it did, and we've loved all of the submissions sent to us. However, we have a very small team, and unfortunately we believe we might be overwhelmed with auditions if we reach our original deadline of June 26th.

    As such, we have decided to end the auditioning process once we hit 150 submissions.

    We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we thank everyone who is interested, everyone who has auditioned, and we still look forward to our next 50 auditions!

We are currently looking for a Script Writer to join our Sonic comic dub team. This role focuses on adapting short Sonic comics into clean, clear, and engaging scripts that are ready for voice performance.

The comics being adapted are generally short-form, so the primary focus is not long dialogue writing, but rather making sure the script is tight, natural, and easy for voice actors to perform.

A key part of this role is the ability to effectively write voice foley and vocal cues for characters—capturing tone, emotion, reactions, and sound-like expressions (such as grunts, breaths, pauses, or expressive reactions) to help bring the performance to life.


Responsibilities include:
  • Adapting short Sonic comics into voice-ready scripts
  • Writing clear and natural dialogue for voice actors
  • Adding expressive voice cues and foley directions (emotion, tone, reactions, etc.)
  • Ensuring scripts are easy to read and perform
  • Following project guidelines and deadlines

Requirements
