Aran: A Metroid fan film
Project Overview
My name is Harry, I'm a professional digital artist, and I am putting together an animated fan film based on the Metroid series.
The film is an adaptation of Metroid, Metroid Other M, the Metroid Manga, and Super Metroid, following the origins of Samus Aran in greater detail and how she rose to become the defender of the galaxy. It is a character piece that will aesthetically be inspired by Castlevania, Invincible, and Attack on Titan. Tonally, the film is inspired by Logan and Man of Steel. The film is set in its own continuity, outside of the video game timeline.
I will be animating the film along with a couple of my fellow colleagues, and voicing a few of the characters as well. The film script is finished, and now casting has begun! The film audio has to be recorded before production on animation begins. Once all the roles have been cast, I would like to have a table read of the script over a zoom call if possible. Animation will take roughly 1.5-2 years based on what me and my current team have calculated, but make no mistake, it will be completed- we want to be able to get this project as perfect as we can.

Samus is generally very reserved, kind, and head strong. However, she is consumed with hatred and rage over the death of her parents and suffers from PTSD after seeing them die in front of her. Through the film, she learns to not let vengeance consume her, and be a force for good and protect the innocent.

You didn’t know?? I pieced it together as soon as we landed. The orders were a pretense for something else, just to direct us to that location! And when you also said it would be a silent specter mission I knew something was wrong! - they sent us to our death!
64 is the AI inside of Samus's suit. She's kind of snarky and sassy, but when the cops are down, she takes the situation seriously.
