Project Overview

April Fool's Day Villain Takeover (Fun Personal Project)

Looking for a variety of voice actors to voice my original characters!

My name is Sunny, and every April Fool's day I like to put together something special for my followers. This year, I wanted to try something a little different and actually display my characters in action! I'm aiming to create a crossover event with my OCs in the form of storyboarded Instagram reels (or animatics). I can take care of the scripts and the art, all I need are your talented voices! I need about 8 different VAs to tackle everyone, from antagonists to protagonists to everything else in between! I don't mind your skill level, just show me what you got! :)

  • This is my first time creating a project and hiring VAs so I apologize if I come off as a bit of a novice.

  • I will be creating all the scripts and art by myself, which may take a bit of time to finish. I'll see if I can prepare some scratch tests before the casting deadline closes.

  • Voicing the scripts shouldn't take too long, I'd like to keep the Instagram reels under 45 seconds each (so I don't kill myself making all that art lol)

  • If I select you, I'll likely send you a Discord server invite (its optional to join, but I'll use it to post updates on the project) or we could set up a contact through my Instagram: @sunnys_snazzy_stripes

  • I can send your payments through Zelle or PayPal.

  • This is not a super serious project, but any effort you put towards it is greatly appreciated!

  • The casting deadline will close on 3/1/25 at 11:30pm EST!

Project Details

For the entirety of April Fool's Day, I will be releasing multiple Instagram reels featuring my characters in a crossover event. Blending together three stories (which I hold near and dear to my heart), the villains will take the stage, sending the protagonists on a wild goose chase to find their special support characters and get their creator (that's me, lol) back in control of her account. While this goes on, my followers are free to ask them questions and interact with them through their posts. However, the reels are the only content in need of voice lines, not the posts or Q&As. The videos will be finished at least a week before April 1st.

  • Deadline's Almost Here!

    Hello everyone! There's only 5 hours left before the casting deadline closes! Once it does, my friends and I are going to spend some time going over the auditions and finalizing our cast selections, so sit tight and check your inboxes! I'll be sending a message to all of our chosen talents in the next day or two, which will include the scripts on a google document for you to review. If you have time to read them over, let me know if you'd like to be a part of the project or not!   • Pay Increase +Project Updates!

    Hello, everyone! I can't believe we've surpassed over 100+ project follows and almost 200 submissions! It makes my day hearing all of your amazing auditions, I already see some of you that would make a perfect fit!

    • I was able to save up a little more money for the project so I've adjusted the pay rates. The work you all are presenting me is way too wonderful and I really wish I could give you more for the time and energy you've been towards these characters. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing your voices with me!

    • I've put a little team together with the help of my friends and I've started on writing the scripts, as well. They're each going to be 1-3 pages long (I write them more like screenplays so there's a lot of descriptions lol) and I'm hoping to create at least 12 of them (one to be released every hour for 12 hours during the event). The quantity of lines will vary from character to character and script to script, with Sonata, Madness, and Sawyer possibly having the most. I can't wait to hear you bring them to life!

    • The discord server is nearly complete! Although I don't expect recording to last that long, you are totally allowed to stay and watch the progress we're doing on the project! The server will host art and references along with the scripts and works in progress. It'll be a frequent resource and hang out spot for the entire month of March. After April Fool's, we'll see if I void it or not lol

  • Something weird is going on?

    Hey, everyone! In the recent 6 auditions I received, none of them are showing a play audio button for some reason? I'm not sure if it's just glitched out on my end or if this is a common occurrence on casting call? I'm new here, so if anyone knows how to fix it or if I need to contact a mod through email, please let me know!

    I can't believe we've almost hit 100 submission in the first two days! I've been listening to everyone and I'm already starting to see some keepers! :) Thank you for all of your wonderful auditions!

  • Mistake in the Pay Rate

    I'm super sorry everyone, I didn't notice until now three of my characters are listed under an hourly pay rate instead of a flat one. Voice work will likely take an hour or less to complete since the scripts will be short. I apologize for any confusion it may have caused. I'm adjusting it as we speak. If the salary doesn't suit your standards, I completely understand if you want to back down from the project. But thank you anyway for your time and all of your wonderful submissions, I get so excited listening to every single one!

Sonata is a sassy cartoon siren, the leader of the villain group. Though her two other sisters aren't here this time to form their mean girl trifecta, she still firmly believes things work best when she's in charge. Manipulation is her game, and she's about as ruthless as she is pretty.

Clyde is a sentient animatronic sheep. He's a bit of an airhead but makes up for it with his big heart. He's still new to a lot of things in the world since he was trapped in a storage closet for most of his existence, but he owes it to Amara for introducing him to the real world. For his best friend, he'd take on anything, even a powerful CEO (he has no idea what a CEO is and he still doesn't think Sawyer's his nemesis).


A voice for him would be something like a gleeful Donald Glover or even Zeno Robinson!

Sawyer is an animatronic sheep mascot (the severed head of one at least. It's a long story-) He became the CEO of his franchise, the literal head of "The Pasture Playhouse." He acts the way a rich boss does, but he's got dirty money. Profits might get swiped if his happy-go-lucky protagonist shows up, so he (reluctantly) joins team villain.
