AnthroMorphia - Cha Cha Slide
Project Overview
Hey! So this is my original project (Titled ‘AnthroMorphia’) and I decided to make a small scene of my characters. This is to test out the success of this hopefully future indie animation. The story follows Vixen (an anthropomorphic fox) and her band’s life journey from high school to a successful career.
This particular short takes place at a fancy yacht party, where Vixen is feeling moody and would really rather be somewhere else. Her best friend Aspen (Opossum) on the other hand, is having the time of his life and tries to convince her to enjoy the experience. Surrounded by wealthy guests, fancy outfits, and platters of fresh pastries, everything seems pretty extravagant… until Aspen hears a very familiar song coming from the dance floor. Suddenly, he’s abandoning Vixen to enthusiastically join in on the Cha Cha Slide, leaving her to watch in disbelief as her best friend makes a complete fool of himself. And that’s pretty much the entire scene.

I’m looking for 2–3 2D artists/animators to help bring a short comedic scene from my original project, Anthromorphia, to life!
The goal is to create a 45–110 second animatic using a basic 2D art style. This project does not require fully polished animation. Simple character poses, expressions, rough movement, and storyboard-style panels are perfectly fine, as the main focus is bringing the comedy and character interactions to life.
Mainly looking for 2D/Animatic artists to draw poses & expressions.
Please note that this is an AI FREE PROJECT!

Voice Actor
Aspen Kingsley is an energetic, charismatic and chaotic Opossum. He is extremely over-the-top, dramatic and impulsive. He’s the kind of person who turns boring interactions into a full theatrical event, especially when music is involved.
Scene Context:
Aspen is attending a fancy yacht party with his best friend, Vixen. He’s absolutely thrilled to be there and can’t understand why Vixen isn’t enjoying the experience. He tries to cheer her up by pointing out how amazing it is to be partying on a yacht.
However, when he hears the Cha Cha Slide playing over the speakers, he immediately forgets about everything else. His excitement skyrockets, and he rushes off to join the dancing, leaving Vixen behind to watch him make a complete fool of himself.
Teen/Young adult male voice
“Pretty much, yeah. Kinda has to cancel out when my best friend's a grouch.”
“Vixen! Come on, look around! We're on a boat! On the WATER! We're having a PARTY on the WATER, on a BOAT! Isn't that awesome?!”
“OH MY GOD! OH MY GOSH, THEY'RE PLAYING THE CHA CHA SLIDE!!”
Voice Actor
Vixen Venuz is a creative, expressive, and somewhat emotionally driven fox. She’s Aspen’s childhood best friend and is used to dealing with his endless energy and ridiculous antics. Although she’s generally a social person, she has her own moods and isn’t always in the mood to participate in whatever chaos Aspen has decided to create.
Scene Context:
Vixen is attending a fancy yacht party with Aspen, but she’s feeling moody and isn’t particularly interested in being there. Aspen tries his best to cheer her up, enthusiastically pointing out all the exciting things about their surroundings. Unfortunately, his attempts aren’t quite working.
Then Aspen hears the Cha Cha Slide and immediately abandons her to join the dance floor. Vixen watches in disbelief as her best friend completely loses himself in the music. She’s annoyed by his impulsiveness but is secretly fond of his chaotic personality.
Teen/Young adult female voice
“Look, I didn't wanna be here in the first place. YOUR ass dragged me out here.”
“I wanted to stay home. My idea of fancy is a family bucket of popcorn in my room with my projector on, thank you very much.”
“Do you have to be so optimistic all the time?”
