Hello there!
My name is James, and I'm basically throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks! I've started to work on the VA stuff more seriously, and this is another step in that: involving more than just me in a project.
This project in particular is the sequel to another short story I wrote and read, dealing with some Space Marines in the Warhammer 40k universe (video embedded is that previous project). For this next story, I wrote in some female characters, and while I can try it myself, I'd honestly like to elevate the production with female voices for female characters.
If you'd like to read from 130-170 words with the power of one that can kill entire planets, feel free to audition! I'm excited to hear what you can do.
This was an agonizing process. Of the submissions I got, they were all so good. However, the time has come to cast. Thank you all for submitting. I have followed many of you so I can easily contact you, as I think all of you can contribute your voices later down the line.

We're just over a week from the project, and the submissions I've gotten are so good already! It makes me feel bad for having only 2 roles... I have a feeling I'll have some smaller roles for those that don't get cast as the Inquisitors. Take care, everyone! The Emperor Protects!
Brunhilde Contrayus is a Puritan Inquisitor of the God-Emperor's Holy Inquisition. She comes from a military background, and while on the mission holds no humour, only the need to complete her duties. Despite her short stature, she commands enough confidence to order her soldiers and even the super soldier Astartes with mechanical precision. Inquisitors hold the authority to destroy entire worlds, and Brunhilde's voice should hold this threat with assurance.
It is common for 40k characters to have a wide bevy of British Accents, but honestly it can be whatever accent you want, just not obnoxious.
Preferred: Take two takes of each line with minimum background noise
Pronunciation Guide:
- Astartes: ah-STAR-tees
- Ave: AH-weh
- Xenos: ZEE-nohs
*matter of fact.* "You are free to engage, Astartes. Ave Imperator."
*authoritative denouncement* "Mackenzie Yoz, you have been found guilty of the act of harboring heretics and interacting with the T'au-breed Xenos to the detriment of the Imperium."
*recovering from a fight, and your quarry has slipped away* "Good. Let’s get Yoz into… (sigh) Throne, damn it all… Navarre, tell the squad we need to hunt for her. She must be captured alive."
Inquisitor MacKenzie Yoz is an Inquisitor of the God-Emperor's Holy Inquisition. She is a powerful psyker (effectively a mage) and commands a sizable compound garrisoned by soldiers and assassins. However, she has very Radical ideas, mainly garnering positive relations with alien races. This has placed a target on her back, and in the process of the story she will be captured by another Inquisitor, but not without putting up a fight. You are a Emperor-ordained Inquisitor, with the authority to destroy entire worlds. That you have been attacked is heresy! You shall not suffer this nonsense.
It is common for 40k characters to have a variety of British accents, but I don't care. Just don't be obnoxious.

*Trying to remain calm* "Who’s shooting, Sergeant? Have we identified them?"
*Curt orders* "Nathaniel, go to the choir and send a distress signal to the Library. Tell them what is happening and demand justice for this travesty."
