"Animated" the Web Series
Project Overview
Series Synopsis:
"Animated" is the series that culminates all of the RoboUniverse Lore on the RobotRichie channel and brings it all together in one place, answering any questions and loose ends that the channel has yet to address. The series starts with Jonathan Hewlett Jacob, a teenager in high school who doesn't know his place in the world, literally. He knows that he's in a cartoon show. He knows nothing is real in his universe, but no one else believes or understands him. Until one fateful day, John realizes he's not alone in believing in the metaphysical and spiritual. He meets up with a girl his same age named Marley Crawford, an African/Japanese mercenary. They soon discover the relics of Marcus Bradley, an individual who also knows about the cartoon world they live in, on top of stopping the glitches from corrupting the multiverse they live in and with the real world. Join him and all his friends as he traces his origins to finally stop Marcus and harness the God powers they were given.

Since the very beginning, I'm just a teenager, who's looking for my purpose in the world, because I'm the only one who knows you guys exist in a world where no one else knows. Well... My fourth wall breaks aren't really the focal point of the show, but with the help of these wonderful people, they not only help me figure out what and who I'm destined to be, but I also help them protect the multiverses from Marcus Bradley, also known as the originator of the ShadowGlitch.exe protocol. *scoff* Yup. I guess you could say my job as a predecessor is hard work. We had a pilot episode air in the Animated Series YouTube channel, but I'm not going to lie. It looked like shit, but that's okay! The pilot episode is just a concept of how the first episode will go, but not only will the show not look like that, but the first episode has been completely rewritten from the ground up, taking out and adding in details that would make even...
Notes about the Show:
- The Show is planned to be for 13+. While the web series will have explicit language, blood and sexual themes, the show is intended for late teens to early adults due to its dramatic and sensitive subject matters, discussing topics not suitable for all audiences, including but not limited to:
- Homophobia
- Suicidal Tendencies
- Existentialism
- Racism
- Sexual Assault
- Abuse
- Sexualities (Gay, Genderfluidity, etc).
- Mental Disabilities (PTSD, Tourettes, ADHD, etc)
(While these topics are important to discuss to a younger audience, the show doesn't pull punches on the severity and intensity of certain topics, such as these.)
Another Note:
- All 20 episodes have been written for season 1. We need to see how this season performs, before doing another season.
- Storyboards are currently in production
- Intro and Outro theme songs are being drafted
- Intro Song: False Reality by RobotRichie and Brandon Yates (musician for Death Battle)
- Outro Song: That's Alright by RobotRichie and Aisa (ft. VA for either Every West or Venice Chuck)
- None of the auditions will be used in the final audio
- Must have access to a good microphone (no headphone mics, phone mics, laptop mics, or background noise)
- MAIN CHARACTER VAs need to be 18+, but any other VAs can be 16+
- MUST HAVE A DISCORD. All of production will occur on discord.
- This Project is a PAID project with negotiated rates; however, if you just want to volunteer without payment, that's fine, too! I, however, really want to pay people for their hard work.

Motivations for certain roles
Hello! There's a lot of one liners that I feel need to be further detailed on what kind of role I'm going for, so if you are trying to audition for any of these roles: Psychic - Old Woman/Man sounding voice Glitch #1 - Determined with a worried tone Glitch #2 - Same as #1 Criminal - Same as #1 + #2, but more aggressive Teacher - Heavily skeptical, due to their life being in danger Reporter #1 - Showbiz-like, as if they're a reporter for USA's New Years Rockin' Eve Cop - Very aggressive, with a hint of confused Young Every - Act like a young boy. A little smug Girl 1-3 - Snotty (typical bullies)) Boy #1 - Enthusiastic and hopeful Glitch #728 - Same as Glitch #1 & #2, but slightly monotoned Hopefully, that helps everyone! When Audio is collected
To make sure we have time to organize payments and all the parts for everyone, full on audio recordings will not occur until September! If anyone wants immediate work, this project MIGHT NOT be the case. We need time to gather all the agreed payments and organize the scripts for everyone to read! -

To speed up production time, I would love to have a storyboard artist to help out with the production of the series!
- Storyboards must be able to convey facial expressions and perspectives such as 1pt, 2pt and 3pt (both angles).
- Storyboards need to be exported as a .png sequence (001, 002, etc)
- Storyboards need to be in 4k res (3840 x 2160)
- The character doesn't need to be fully storyboarded cleanly; however, facial features and background perspectives are important.
- Also, there will be choreographed fight scenes, so it would be best to know how to frame and storyboard for fight action sequences

Marley Crawford is the main girl character in the series. While she believes in the multiverses the same way that John does, she does not believe in the theory that they live within a cartoon. Before fully tapping into her abilities, she was a standard assassin and mercenary since birth, having over 50 kills under her belt with no losses. While she fought hundreds of people before and won, she spared their lives. She has a direct connection to Marcus Bradley, the main villain, being the ex girlfriend of him and co-creator of the diamond that can manipulate multiverses. As the predecessor of the God of the World, she has the ability to manipulate molecular structures and phase through objects. She has super speed and agility, barely capable of being attacked. While she has the ability to wipe people out of existence with her katanas, she has terrible durability. Shes more of a glass canon, which is the reason why she has intense speed and phasing reality powers to begin with. Shes also emotionally driven, while not showing it, meaning the right person can manipulate her emotionally.
Backstory:
Marley’s backstory is more or less unknown, due to not being mentally prepared to come clean like that; however, her connection to Marcus Bradley (the main antagonist) is unfathomable. She studied up on black magic and witchcraft at a young age, due to her blacksmith parents dying at the age of 15. While she studied up on the crafts since she was a young child of 5, she really went in depth when her parents died and inherited the family katanas. Marley used to be a computer science major student, until she changed her major due to one unfortunate night. Walking home in an alleyway, she was about to be “taken advantage of” by a couple of thugs, until Marcus saved her. Shockingly, they both had a lot in common, sharing the same interests in computer science and coding. They even ended up dating for a couple of months, working together to create projects. One fateful night, Marley stumbles on Marcus’ true plans, not knowing he was the original Shadow Glitch.exe. He, in punishment, “mistreated her” and left her back in the alleyway she started in. Her whole arc is getting over her abuse and taking down her abuser; however, Gregory saves her and teaches her to fight Marcus for the right reasons and not for “enacting revenge”. Now, she’s an undercover assassin, killing worse people than her.

Long description:
Carly Maker is the third main character in the series and the future love interest of John. While she believes in the cartoon reality John also believes in, she believes in it for different reasons. They both studied up on spiritualism and sociology in high school, but John is more invested than her. Think of the stereotype of a teenage girl and that's Carly. She is affectionate, friendly, compassionate and generous. As the predecessor of the God of the Skies, she has the ability to harness all weather and bend it to her will. She can create lightning and fog screens, rain, blazing heat, snow, hail, etc. She can also absorb the molecules in the air to store as energy (such as Hydrogen, Nitrogen, etc.)While she can do this, she's a bit of an airhead. She doesn’t get the severity of issues or the dangers that she puts herself in.She doesn’t believe she's invincible, but rarely she takes things seriously. On top of being John's future love interest, she has a special emotional bond with everyone in the group.
Backstory:
Carly grew up being bullied by a bunch of kids for not dressing like a girl, mainly due to the fact that her parents expected a boy and couldn’t afford more clothes. Every was the only one to comfort her, making both of them close friends since childhood. While she identifies as a girl throughout season 1, she soon transitions in real time to being full on gender fluid. After many years of being called a boy due to how she dressed, she gave up convincing people otherwise. During her middle to high school years, she starts getting used to being mistaken as a guy and starts to enjoy it, flipping the trauma she had into a positive. Fast forward to the present, John helps her fully come to terms with the notion of being both a guy and a girl not being an issue, and that John’s perception of them wouldn’t change. Their character arc is struggling with not knowing whether or not they want to stay a she, or a he, or both.
NOTE: The description labels them as a she, due to being a girl at the beginning of the show. They will slowly transition from a girl, to being more comfortable going whichever way she wants; however, for the beginning, they are a she.

Long description:
Ace is Marcus’ first glitch copy, which, unlike the other glitches, is only weakened by a fourth of Marcus’ power instead of half. Ace is extremely intelligent, with abilities that range from Marcus’ while also having impressive feats of himself. Like the other glitches, Ace serves as a barrier between dimensions, can shape shift, can cast illusions and can separate souls from vessels, however, Ace has some unique abilities that branch away from the other glitches. For example, Ace can resurrect the dead and control them to his bidding on top of also easily bending reality. Ace has telekinetic abilities and capabilities of copying himself and other glitches to serve his bidding. Ace also has a superiority complex, and often questions Marcus’ motives. While Marcus wants to actively change his story, Ace has no emotions or drive. Ace just enjoys carnage and death. While Marcus results in killing others, Ace flat out enjoys it.
