'Angels of Death' Game Fandub
Project Overview
Hello!
This is a fan voiceover for the GAME version of Angels of Death.

Short Synopsis: Angels of Death (Satsuriku no Tenshi) is a game about Ray Gardner, a young girl who wakes up without her memory in a strange hospital below ground. She, desperate to die, begs serial killer Zack Foster to kill her, which he promises to do only if she helps him escape. The catch: each floor has its own dangers and threats, and they risk their lives to pass each one unscathed. Can they make it to the surface alive?
Warnings for this project: It contains blood, gore, screaming, and semi-graphic depictions of injury and murder.
This is an amateur project. I am no professional editor, and I am a fairly new voice actress, but this is a for fun project and I have no intention of making money off this, other than the benefit of enjoying the experience!
Now, on to the rules of auditioning!
1. Please submit your takes in AA, BB, CC format.
2. Please submit at least 2-3 takes (in one file).
3. I am not picky with equipment, but minimal background noise is preferred, as well as USB mics and above. Laptop mics and headsets are not ideal.
4.This project is considerably mature though there is no sexual themes, so you must be 18+ to audition.
5. The script is already technically finished for this, it just needs put together. If you are cast for this, it may take a short while to receive your script, direction, etc, as I am currently juggling work alongside this. Remember, it's just a passion project, and there is no hard deadline as of right now. As I get the cast together, I will begin setting more into motion.

Zack Foster is a young adult with a criminal history that stretches for miles, with no love for liars or evil people. He should sound loud and selfish, a bit angry all the time or forceful. He never holds back, curses like a sailor, and has just enough insanity that he always surprises you. Violence is his forte and he can be uncontrollably murderous. He does have some soft-spoken moments, but for the most part he's unabashed, yet moral to a fault. Be prepared for some screaming as well if you are cast for this role, or some maniacal laughter. He can be criminally untainted in the strangest ways.
Looking for a medium male voice, but nothing too deep, that can reach a nice pitch for Zack's laughs and possible grunts/yelling.

(Annoyed, a little disappointed and irritated.)
"I'm a respectable male adult, so I'm not into shredding emotionless dolls."(Strict, making a point with a hint of malice and intimidation.)
"I got two rules. No fuckin' around, and no prancin' around all merry-like. I got a big problem with fuckers who look so happy. Whenever I see 'em… I can't help but kill 'em."(Determined, a tinge desperate. This is a dramatic moment that establishes a real turning point in the story. Selfish and firm.)
"Don't think for one second that you can die of your own will! There's plenty of people in this building who'd love to kill you-- but I'll have the honor!"
(If you can also include an attempt at maniacal, psychotic laughter, it would be appreciated.)
Daniel Dickens is a therapist for Rachel Gardner. He is a tad off, and when he talks, he always seems to be hiding something behind his calm, almost too assuring tone. He can be very gentle and kind sounding. His tone can shift from sweet to ominous and disturbing very quickly. Has an incredibly love and desire for eyes of all shapes and colors, (or rather, an obsession). Rachel is a subject of his fancy and he adores her, showing it in ways ranging from caring to sickening.
A medium male voice is necessary, towards the lighter end. Need to capture obsession in your tone.
(In case you want it, here is an example of Danny's Japanese VA. I am not holding anyone to this voice, but fi you wish to replicate it, feel free!)
(Urging, trying to be convincing yet friendly, as if gently goading a child.)
"Do you not recognize me? I was the one who examined you. Can you try to remember? I'm… I'm the doctor that gave you counseling."(Quiet, a bit wistful. Ominous towards the end.)
"I've got a bad eye, you see. Don't care for its color either. But, Rachel ...If I had peepers like yours, that would be oh-so lovely."(Suddenly angry, forceful, like he just pulled someone away from doing something dangerous.)
"I wouldn't do that if I were you! You'll get something in your eyes!"

Gray is a mystery unto himself. No one knows his past, but he is a cold, analytical person who sees things from a very specific perspective that benefits his way of life. He talks in an old-fashioned tone, using long-aged words as if he is some prophet or higher being. He looks down upon sinners and usually shows nothing but disgust and distaste for anyone he deems unworthy.
Gray should have a gravel, deeper tone, and be a bit emotionless and detached.
(Cold, calculating. Stating it as fact, with a hint of wonder and accusation.)
"...You are irregular. A lamentable lamb... or perhaps a demon."(Accusing, as if casting blame and guilt onto someone without hesitation. Says her name with distaste.)
"Yet, I can guess...That you are to blame... Rachel Gardner."(Domineering, establishing a sense of authority and talking down to her. Delivered as if it is the complete truth.)
"A faithful heart is the significance of God's existence, my poor, dear Rachel. You never had that from the start."
Cathy Ward is an uproarious woman with a superiority complex. She's huffy, loud, and confident. She believes her way is the only way, and it conveys in her every word. If you don't follow what she says, she gets pretty angry. Her voice is shrill, up to a shriek. She's arrogant, selfish, and yet very intelligent and cunning. (Also gorgeous, but she knows that.)
Looking for a higher female voice, something that really pops. Cathy is inherently an annoying character, and we're looking for that same flavor.

(A bit excited and high-and-mighty. Flippant, arrogant, and a bit playful.)
"Sorry the welcome party took so long! I guess I sort of dozed off watching your idiotic antics. Still, it's a wonder you survived! Especially you, Zack! Bravo to your resourcefulness! Truth be told, I always had faith you'd blossom into such a lovely sinner!"(Smug and gleeful, like she's looking down on them and enjoying the show.)
"Isn't it about time to end this silly charade?" (a little laugh here) "You and your childish promises— it's laughable. I think it's an unfair promise... considering you will die anyway."(Lecturing and sickened, yet fascinated.)
"What a terrible thing you've done, disposing of those who lament in pain and suffering like yesterday's garbage. And yet you show no emotion! You'll stop at nothing to have Zack take your life! "
(Please include a maniacal cackle!)
Eddie is a childish gravedigger that loves to wax poetic. Around Rachel's age (about 14-15) he is easily excitable and passionate about his gravedigging and especially Ray. His voice is definitely on the higher side, and he easily switches to cold and angry if upset.
Looking for a higher, childlike voice. (Can be female though the character is male!)

(Explanatory, as if describing something he truly adores. A little wondrous and obsessive.)
"Sure, making graves is my passion, but the bodies that occupy them are not quite as lovable. Beauty is what they lack. But for that girl… I want nothing more than to make the grave of my dreams for her!(Excited, trying to be convincing and welcoming. Sickly sweet.)
"If it were me, I'd take your life as painlessly as possible, and even make the perfect grave for you! Plus, just look at me! You and I are even around the same age- we're practically made for each other!"(Cold, yet almost looking for reassurance. Ominous.)
"...Rachel. You are mine to kill. Can you… wait for me until then?"
Ray's mother should be cold and bitter. Every interaction with Ray is unpleasant, and she should sound like even acknowledging her is worthless.
A tenor for this voice would be ideal, really amp up that violent tone and coldness.
(Disgusted, irritated, like a disbelieving snort.)
"Amazing! Even my own daughter won't do as she's told?!"(Angry and forceful, bitter.)
"Don't you know?! Your being here has gotten me stuck in this hell... Your very existence is detestable. It's like I'm dealing with your worthless father— it makes me sick to my stomach."
Ray's father is a mean drunk. He is bitter, violent, and angry. He lashes out at Ray and her mother constantly and is usually deep in a bottle.
Looking for a gravelly, sinister voice that slurs.
(Bitter and disgusted, a bit slurred.)
"A creepy bitch that can't understand what this other crazy bitch is thinkin'. My life's hit rock bottom because both of you fucked it up!"(A retort. Cutting and irritated, a little slurred.)
"Stop laughin'. It gets on my nerves. I'm off to buy my own happiness."
