Project Overview

Content Warning: This project will contain blood, gore, violence, and slight pedophilic implications (Only one character has this). Please audition with caution. 

Summary: Angels of death follows a young protagonist named Rachel Gardener, who seemingly has amnesia, and wakes up in a blank room in an unfamiliar building. To her knowledge she witnessed something terrible and was bought to the hospital for counseling. Armed with only her hand bag she rushes out of the room to find answers when she hears the over head announcement, “The sacrifice has awoken, hunters please my preparations.” Rachel arrives at B6 and meets Isaac Foster a psychotic killer with a need to cut down people who smile, and those who lie. Eventually Rachel makes a deal with him that if she gets him out of this building that he will kill her.

Requirements:

Actors: In order to be considered these are the rules that must be followed.

- Due to the content of this game I require all of our actors/actresses to be at least 18 NO EXCEPTIONS

- Please put your discord in your submission. That is the best way for us to keep in contact.

- Please no phones or laptop mics for recording, we are not professionals, but phone audio recordings sound bad and they are hard to work with.

- Please be willing to participate in live direction. We prefer to hear the actors/actresses read the lines, and be able to get live feedback from the directors.

- Have open and honest communication between directors. If we send you a message asking for lines, or questions please be able to respond in a timely manner.

Editors: In order to be hired I need the following rules to be followed:

- Please be at least 18. It much easier to have that rather than fighting with school schedules.

- Please put your discord in your submission. That is the best way for us to keep in contact.

-  Know how to use the program your using. We are not picky on the program, but be sure this is not your first time using it.

- Try your hardest to meet deadlines or communicate. We get that life happens, but be willing to talk it out with us so we can figure out a game plan.


Note from the director: All the lines for the VAs have been pulled from the anime rather than the game for expediencies sake. We will be dubbing the game not the anime. (The lines in the game and in the anime are very similar hence why I used them)

  • We will be casting momentarily

    Thank you so much for the 200+ auditions! I honestly did not expect for this project to blow up like it did. We will be casting everyone except for Doctor Danny, and the audio/video editors as we will be talking to a few individuals privately for re-casts. For the rest of you we will be reaching out shortly. We have chosen a top 3, with the number 1 being cast, and the 2nd and 3rd being understudies in case if something happens. Again thank you so much for the auditions we look forward to working with you soon!

  • Deadline was moved forward

    This'll be the last time I move the deadline, hopefully. We moved it forward, because that was the bast day me and my co-director could go over everything. On that day we will be contacting everyone who made it via discord so be on the look out for that! As I mentioned before we are in need of audio editors and video editors. I have had a few people contact me on discord and send me their prices, which is nice, but sadly this is a for fun project, and I cannot pay anyone at the moment. If you know anyone, or if you are a VA that can also do video or audio editing work please get a hold of me via discord! As fun as it is to do auditions in order to put out anything we need editors! Sorry for the long rant, but hopefully you see how important this is. Either way thank you so much for the 150+ auditions!     Hi guys due to some outside issues I had to push back the deadline. I haven't had the time to type up the script. I want to be sure when everyone is cast they have all the tools they need to get started soon. I hope none of you are too upset by this and can understand my reasoning.   • A Word from the Director

    Hello I'm Damien owner of DuskTillDawn! I just wanna let everyone know that we are at the halfway point for this project, and I have started typing up our script (shoulda done so a week ago, but procrastination is a bitch.) A lot of the auditions I have listened to have been really great so far, and I hope you all know how hard this is gonna be to pick you guys ^^;;. I hope some of you all will be interested to stay in our little family once this project is over ^^. With that I am gonna leave this business stuff at the end here: - FIRST order of business I honestly need more candidates for audio and video editors. So if you know somebody, or if you are an editor yourself and want to work with us, please apply on the CCC, or message me on Discord VampPrince#7327 - I had a few people message me if they are cast because I asked them to re-audition, or I gave feedback in the comments. Rachel is a 14 year old girl who finds herself in a blank room of an unfamiliar building. All she remembers is that she was in a hospital talking with her therapist, and that something happened to her parents. Beyond that her life up to this point is a mystery. In order for her to find herself and get out of this place she must encounter and conquer all the killers of this building and become victorious.

Towards the beginning she is a soft damsel in distress type with a high-mid tone of voice. She is very caring to those who are sick and injured and even is able to fix things that are dead. The moment she realizes her situation her personality becomes, hollow and semi-dead as if she has resigned herself to her fate as a sacrifice.

  • “There’s the bird from before… [something clicks and you become that soft, calm, but disparaging tone.] No…this one is different…it’s not the same bird…it didn’t look like this…that one didn’t look so pitiful…I’ll make you look like it did…don’t worry…you won’t hurt anymore…I’ll fix you up like you were my very own…”

  • [direct, but hollow] “Ask all you want, but my answer won’t change. I’m not going to kill you Zack. That’s the decision I’ve made. I’ll be happy for you to kill me…but…I wont let this end the way she wants…that woman is wrong…we are not tools…to murder…or give into death…those are OUR choices and ours alone…”

  • [Your gentle hollow voice trembles and are thoroughly terrified] “Y-You wrong…if there is no god…then…h-how am I supposed to go on?…L-Listen just because you sweared to God that you would kill me isn’t the only reason…E-Even if somebody else made the exact same promise to me…I-It still wouldn’t have been good enough…[“ok then why?”] U-um because…I-I don’t know I’m sorry…”

He is a deranged troubled adult with the temperament of a child. This was mainly due to his orphaned upbringing, but that didn’t stop him from having ‘accidents’ with the neighbors animals. He is a resident of B6 of the building and he often prowls the dirty city with a scythe in his hand. Sweeping around for those that are scared or smiling, aiming to cut them down for being that way.

Zack’s should be a mid toned voice, that is gravely and very rough sounding. He is almost always annoyed at everything, has several psychotic outbursts, is very impatient, and trigger happy. (I hate to make this reference but Bakugo from MHA, but more unhinged/psychotic)

  • [Smug and exhilarated after just killing someone] “Hey remember me kiddo~? I bet if you knew this creep was up here you woulda kept your ass downstairs. deep gravely chuckle. Now…if you you wanna live~-Then you better start runnin’. Struggle all you like~ Just don’t give up hope…Get ready~…I’ll gut you right here!!! Hahaha…"

    [Disappointed, much less enthusiastic] "...eh? Boring. What kinda face is that? Do you even give a damn that I’m about to rip your guts out??? Look you little weirdo I’m a grown-ass man ya understand? I’m not the type of guy that gets his jollies outta cuttin’ up dolls."

  • [Agitated, voice quivering, trying to resist the urge to kill] “No matter what kind of vacant expression you have on your face right now…I-It’s still way too hard to hold myself back…I mean if I knew how to stop myself from murdering people, I wouldn’t have been brought to this building to begin with now would I? Thing is…like I said before I can’t stand a liar, and you know what I mean when I say that don’t’cha?…there’s a good girl Ray…so for now…do me one favor…I’m beggin’ ya…please don’t let me kill you just yet…”

  • (I need a good 10 second long psychotic laugh/scream, along with grunts and thrust sounds like your swinging a weapon.)

A seemingly normal therapist that is keen on helping Rachel remember who she is and why she is here. On the surface he genuinely cares for her, but in reality he harbors an attraction to her blue eyes and will do ANYTHING to keep her all to himself. This obsession comes from when he saw his mothers dead eyes and now he collects them to one day find the perfect pair like hers.

His personality is calm and nurturing towards Rachel and would have a gentle and soothing mid-high tone. He seems to go off on the deep end when he makes a mention to the state of Rachel’s “peepers”, but never loses his calm demeanor, until she resists.

  • [Constantly interrupting Rachel with a calm and gentle tone] “-In any case we need to determine how to reach the next floor. It’s too thick to break through-oh well it looks like the two of us are trapped in here together…oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you-just relax…after all you never know…if we take this slow and see how it all plays out. Then something might just happen that’ll be good for me AND you. Heh-let’s see what’s in that room.”

  • [slightly more unhinged, but keeping calm.] “They are probably saying you should ask yourself what you want most. For instance, my desire is to have perfect eyes. You see…one of mine doesn’t work so well. If only I had pretty ones like yours, how wonderful life would be…-Please don’t do that the wall is terribly dusty. Better take good care of those peepers~ a single spec of dust could ruin them.”

  • [seething with anger, still soft spoken, but slowly beginning to lose your cool] “You’re a vile scumbag…[deep shaky breath] I’ve been worshiping her blue eyes for all this time! And then a degenerate like you takes her away from me?-There is no justice in this world! Her eyes are so incredibly rare-I’ve spend my whole life searching for someone with eyes like those…They’re alive, but dead. So silent yet so beautiful…I will never allow you to have those exquisite peepers. They belong to me. They’re mine!”

Edward is a young teenage boy who’s family were third generation gravediggers. He is obsessed with Rachel and wishes to make her the perfect grave, so she can be laid to rest properly. However Rachel refuses his advances and ultimately chooses for Zack to kill her instead, in turn he seeks to kill them both.

He is a playful boy with a high-mid tone and carries the temperament of a child. He has fallen in love with Rachel in which he calls it “love at first sight.” Edward and Zack share a common goal of wanting to kill Rachel so they are always at each other’s throats. (Since this is a little boy character I am more than willing to cast a female VA with a young voice!)

  • [Speak as if you are writing a letter] “Dear Rachel, I’ve been curious about you for a long time now…I want to come meet you, but that guy is always in the way…you know what? I knew right away that I liked you a lot! I know what you really want…I can make you fabulous…That’s why I created a special surprise…just for you…a place where you can rest forever…”

  • [annoyed soon turning into love-stuck madness] Didja have to mess up her grave too?! Now I gotta fix it! [sighs happily] She’s great~ I fell in love at first sight. Before now all I did was make graves for people who have already passed on…It was getting kind of boring. I like digging graves, but I don’t have any feelings about the people inside them…where is the beauty in that?…So I decided to make the perfect grave for Rachel. I understand her, she and I are almost the same age and everything…loving a person who can love you back…that must be better than one-sided feelings for a messy-decomposing corpse…[giggle] Of course if she’d rather it be messy…that’d be ok with me too~”

  • [puzzled, soon turning serious] “What kind of god do you believe in?…I-I don’t get it…Why would your god…want that…? Doesn’t sound like any god I know…that kinda freedom doesn’t exist in this place Rachel. We don’t get to make choices like that. The only thing we have been given is the right to hunt down anyone who comes down to the floor we’re in charge of…we make them sleep forever…and I’m in charge of B4.”

Cathrine “Cathy” Ward: Cathy is an adult that takes on the persona as a prison warden in the way she speaks. She always creates elaborate traps on her floor calling those who she tests her “lovely sinners.” Although many of her traps are unfair they are always given a choice die to them, or conquer them and become jailed with her for eternity.

She is an older woman and has sort of a mid-low tone often talking as if she was a game show host. Cathy is a seductive, sadistic, sassy, psychopath that thoroughly loves punishing her ‘criminals’. Get on her bad side and she is not afraid to whip you into submission.

  • [smug playful voice] “Hi~ Zack-darling terribly sorry I’m late, it was taking you two so long to get here[pouty voice] I nearly dozed off~…Still I’m shocked you weren’t killed by those bullets~-You sure have incredible intuition my dear~You know something…I had a feeling you would make fantastic criminals~…I must have needed some excitement because that woke me right up~!…[turns serious but smug] On this floor…I’m the judge.”

  • [playful, but explanatory] “Let me give you an explanation about this current room, [serious] and you better listen very carefully if you wanna escape this floor with your life. [playful] I got a little carried away with the design here~  it’s completely sealed, making it impossible for air to leak out~ The window glass has been reinforced, so you won’t be able to break it~ And the best part…I’m about to fill it with something very special~-If you stay in there long enough you’ll be on your way to a nice peaceful death~……It’s poison gas.”

  • [An over exaggerated rage/grunt, throughly pissed off] “It makes me so angry! Neither one of you is my ideal criminal! Rachel Gardener couldn’t deign herself to commit murder! And Isaac Foster turned out to be such an imbecile that he did himself in just to satisfy his own bloodlust! Your failures! How dare you deny me the pleasure of punishing you! Your such a supremely dreary little brat Rachel…”

    [Rachel talks back and gets smacked by you] “Talk back to me again and see what happens young lady. Do you think it’s fun judging someone so passive? [sigh] It hurts me much more than it hurts you Rachel…Honestly, I wish it would have been Zack who lived. He would have looked much better with his body riddled with bullet holes then your about to…but nooooo you couldn’t even pull the trigger…your a disappointment as a criminal...”

He is an older, holy man who speaks constantly with the cadence of a preacher. He knows the most about everyone who is in the building, and accepts their flaws as “helpless angels”. As calm and insightful as he is, he believes Rachel’s presence has tainted his angels and seeks for her judgment as the witch she is.

He has a very clear, educated, low toned voice and tends to have a holier-than-thou way of speaking. His emotions tends to stay focused, calm, but stern, and almost never wavers from those. He is determined to pass judgment on others through confessions, and redemption over straight up murder.

  • [Speak as if reading passages from scripture] “Spit out your sins. That will be your proof. What do you feel as you gaze upon the proof? The doors opened, so that you can know the stains you bare…Look at yourself. A sacrifice, a lost sheep…or a demon? The only thing God wants is…you without lies…Are you just ignorant? Or are you hiding your true self? Here is the confessional. To leave…collect your own pieces…and know your true self…Spit out your sins…if you don’t know…tear them up and drag them out.”

  • [Direct tone] “Who are you?…Speak wisely young sinner…answer me! I am the priest who watches over this righteous church, my name is Grey…It’s your turn to answer my question…[“My name is Rachel Gardener. Are you the person in charge of this floor?”] Essentially, I suppose that is a fair statement from your perspective. You needn’t be frightened of me…I’ve yet to determine what kind of a person you truly are Ms. Gardener. I will not decide your fate until that has been done. Any judgment I could pass upon you at this juncture would be a blind one…now what brings you here…?”

  • [Currently at the judges stand, calm and direct.] “Are you denying that you were the one who acted selfishly in all of this? Eddie’s statement illustrated it perfectly. He claims that you live according to your own desires, without any regulars of others. Not to mention Cathrine…you got her to surrender to your spell like the fowl witch you are! What a shame to see such a proud woman reduced to that. 

    [Louder and more forceful as you hit the gavel.] And now for the verdict. Rachel Gardener is found guilty of sorcery! I sentence her to be burned alive! Witch, I compel thee-bathe in cleansing flame and be made pure.
