Overview
Hello! I am Keilani McConnell (Klem) and I have been working on the animated series, Amongst Other Things since 2016. I am solely responsible for all aspects of the project other than the voice acting, for which I have been blessed to find voice actors who record for the series on a voluntary basis. At this time, I am unable to offer paid roles, so this role and all of the current voice actors in this series are volunteers. I greatly appreciate the time and effort they all provide.
This story was first developed in 2009 and has brought me immense joy ever since. It centers around Chris Randolph, who receives a letter saying that he has inherited the estate of his Grandfather...amongst other things.
It is primarily a light-hearted and humorous series, with elements of mystery and themes of found family, acceptance, and being yourself amongst the large cast of characters. This is a long-term project, so please keep that in mind before auditioning!
Timeline-October 16, 2021, 11:59 PM MST - Auditions end!
-October 20, 2021, 11:59 PM MST - The chosen voice actor will be contacted no later than this date. After the role has been accepted, all voice actors will be messaged and the results will be posted publicly here, on Twitter (@VamooseTroop), CastingCallClub, my Ko-FI (klemc), and my website (keilanimcconellart.com). Voice recording and the script will be delivered to the chosen voice actor.
-November 3rd, 2021, 11:59 PM MST - Tentative deadline for voice lines which will be discussed and confirmed with the chosen voice actor. There are a total of 16 lines that need to be recorded for the upcoming episode.
-Please check your microphone quality before sending your takes in - I want to hear you at your best!
-I value character and emotion over voice range, so please audition even if your voice is higher/lower! Additionally, I am not looking for a voice match for his previous voice - let me hear your take on him!
-Please only do 1-2 takes of each line!

Scott Knight, (or how Chris affectionately calls him, “Sir Scott”, much to Scott’s embarrassment), is a mechanic and long-time friend of Chris. He owns a motorcycle that he enjoys working on, but Chris is never allowed to touch because for some reason something always happens to the poor bike when Chris is around. He is Phil’s roommate and the two balance each other out well with Scott’s warm, friendly nature and Phil’s sarcasm and sass. While he’s generally calm, he worries a lot when it comes to his friends. He tends to be more open around people he knows and polite with people he’s just meeting.

[Straight-forward, then optimistic] Breakfast was difficult. We burned the toast and got complaints from the neighbors about the smoke. So, we made cereal. I can do cereal.
