Berlin is a 7-year old Southern boy from Texas with a heart full of gold. He is kind, enthusiastic, and very positive overall. He is the self-proclaimed leader of a group he named "The Dream Weavers," consisting of his two best friends Riki and Ammie. He is a straight-A student, but despite his academic success, he never brags about it or brings it up unless mentioned, and never makes fun of sturggling students. He is nice to even the meanest of people, even if it's Kris, his worse bully, or his sister when she's had a bad day. Berlin hates being alone, and doesn't like the feeling of sadness or lonlieness. He doesn't want anyone else to feel this way, so he tries his best to make people smile

Ammie is a Russian-Korean 8 year-old girl who can be described as a very soft and very afraid. Though she may be afraid, she won't take people's crap for anything when she's being treated wrong! She isn't particularly comfortable with heights or cramped spaces. 

Despite being mostly afraid all of the time, Ammie is okay with opening up to her friends. Although she stands up for herself most of the time, she almost never stands up for herself against her older siblings (specifically Ronald and Anita), though she is very close with one of her older siblings, Olaf, since she and Olaf relate to each other because they're the most picked on. She wants to be a good big sister for Noëlle her 4 month old baby sister. Even if she's afraid of a lot of things, she finds comfort in spooky things or gothic clothes.

Riki Chen is an 8 year-old Taiwanese girl. She seems stoic on the outside, but can be visibly exited sometimes. She may seem cold, but she is just as kind as the other Dream Weavers, and expresses it in her own way or her own love language. Riki considers acts of service a way of showing love. Although she may seem a little odd for not showing much enthusiasm or emotion, she is a good person inside. She's a little pressured by her family to have good grades, so she is a straight-A student. Riki is genuinely very intellegent, and likes to challenge herself with puzzles, and mind-games. She's the smartest out of the Dream Weavers, and is also the most skilled fighter, having learned taekwondo.

Kris Price is an 11 year old girl with anger issues. She grew up without a mother because her mother, Kiera, died giving birth to her. Kris would have expected her father, Kellen, to stop loving her, or treat her badly, thinking that she was the reason her mother died. But he showed her unconditional love. Kris always had anger issues, but they got worse once her grandfather on her mother’s side began to abuse her, and damaged her mental health. She's never told anyone about it, not even her father, because she's been slowly trying to push him away to avoid being hurt. Because of this, she started picking on Berlin and his friends, calling their mission "stupid" or trying to discourage them. But it never worked, not once. Because Berlin was still nice to her. 

Kris also hates being called by her full name, and would get annoyed if somebody called her "Kristina." Kris did make some friends, Mriam and Yuliana, and she treats them like someone would treat a friend, although she is easily annoyed by them sometimes. She appreciates that they don't clal her by her full first name, and instead her nickname. When Kris isn't around Berlin, she is actually pretty chill and relaxed, even if she doesn't smile much. She has a rival named Mohammed "Mo" and she harbors some kind of deep, romantic feelings for him, that she hides behind anger, annoyance, and rivalry

Miriam is an Afro-Latina 10 year old girl, with unique blue hair she happened to be born with. She is kind, energetic,but can sometimes be very forgetful. She doesn't support Kris's bullying, but wants to help her get through whatever it is she's going through. Miriam is quick to comfort Kris, often holding her hand, or hugging her, or just being supportive of her. She doesn't have parents, they died in a car crash when she was little, so now she lives with her grandma. She is pretty wealthy, and wants to help out anyone she can with what she has. She and Yuliana are very supportive of Kris.

Yuliana Davenport is 12 years old. She is considered to be a hippie, and was adopted by a pacifist family at a very young age who tought her the importance of peace and love. She was oringally from California, but then moved to another state. Yuliana doesn't support bullying, which is why her friendship with Kris is more complicated. She's more likely to get into arguments and fights with Kris. She is friendly towards the Dream Weavers, and supports their idea of making a change to people's lives, often giving them high-fives or fist-bumps. Yuliana tries her best to be supportive of Kris and respects her wishes and boundries.

Ellabelle is a 17 year-old, and the older sister of Berlin. She isn't very open, and is a bit closed off when it comes to meeting new people. Ellabelle doesn't know how to open up, especially around her family. The only family member she's okay with being honest about her feelings is her father Dresden. He's not much of a talker, and always listens to what she has to say. Ellabelle finds her mother Georgia to be tiring, as well as her little brother.

Ellabelle is friendly to some at school, besides those who she finds annoying, but her best friend Olaf, Ammie's older brother. She's very close with him since she's known him since she were 4, and extremely comfortable around him, always defending him from his older siblings (Ronald and Anita) bullying or pranking. She used to call him “Limpy” because of how he used to run as a kid. His arms were like limp noodles. She still calls him that sometimes, but not as much.

Ellabelle is very serious, and loves working hard. Despite being a bit girly, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. Besides her anger problems, she's a big softie deep down, and has confusing feelings about Olaf that she easily brushes off. Like the rest of her family, she is brushed off as unintellegent by many, since she's a blonde female from the south. Bummer. She’s really interested in science, all sciences, and can’t even be taken seriously by some classmates.

Olaf Coffin is a shy, 18 year-old, unsure about who they want to be. They are Russian-Korean. Olaf is very shy, and they can't stand how awkward they are. ESPECIALLY around Ellabelle, his childhood crush. He used to have a nickname for her, but doesn't call her by it anymore because he thinks it's embarrassing and childish. He used to call her "Carrotcake." This stopped around 10. Behind closed doors, Olaf likes writing poetry and drawing, either writing or drawing about animals or Ellabelle. Olaf doesn't consider himself to be emo, and denies it. Lots of people think of him as a creepy person who'd end up being rude, and he hates that stereotype.

He is smitten with Ellabelle, though the two just remain friends. As awkward as he is around everyone, being around her makes him triple the awkwardness. When he has a dilemma, he goes to speak to his friend, a worker at a gamestore named Ruko for advice.

Olaf is always the butt of the joke between his two prankster siblings. He's annoyed by how they're always calling him "half-brother" like they don't want to acknowledge him as a real sibling, even if they don't have the same father. Olaf isn't one to get angry, and forgives easily. Olaf is close with his little sister Ammie, often playing games, or reading with her. He wants to be close with Caesar like how he used to be, and wants to be a good big sibling for his new little sister Noëlle.

Mohammed or preferably “Mo” is a 12 year old boy. He is mixed, Black and Japanese because his father happened to be Japanese. His two best friends are Kasim and Dominique. He met the two in the park when he was very young. He asked if they wanted to play with him, as Dominique and Kasim were already playing with each other. He’s a friendly person, but he’s not so friendly to Kris, whom he considers to be his rival, specifically his academic rival. 

Despite his rivalry with her, he has a deep feeling of affection for her, and finds her pretty, even denying it when his friends ask him about it. Mo lives with 6 brothers, leaving him in a complicated and crowded household. Luckily, his parents are financially okay. He’s also very smart, usually getting A’s, B’s if he isn’t trying hard enough. Overall, Mo is calm, chill, and a person you’d almost never feel uncomfortable around. He’s almost always smiling.

Dominique is a fun and happy kid. He’s 11, and quite short for his age. Hes almost never home, either at Kasim’s house or Mo’s. He’s very upbeat, and always full of energy, even when he’s sleep. Dominique is often interested in sleepovers, having one with his friends whenever he can. But his enthusiasm also makes him feel like a burden to others, like he’s got too much energy and he feels like some people just don’t like how he acts. But it doesn’t stop him from being kind. He’s a very supportive boy. Dominique gets along very well with Kris’s two friends, especially Miriam. She didn’t seem to care about his height when first meeting him, which felt pretty welcoming.

Kasim is a shy person, generally hiding under a beanie or hoodie. He’s 13 years old, and typically the babysitter towards Dominique and Mo. Kasim is a fan of anime, and manga/comics, but he doesn’t typically share it. Kasim doesn’t really talk unless very serious or provoked. He’ll maybe nod his head some, or say a short sentence, but that’s it. He finds Yuliana to be enjoyable to be around, and thinks of her as a good friend. He doesn’t like Kris, or how she bullies Berlin and his friends. He usually gives kids high-fives, and enjoys their company. He has a sister, he’s real close with her and her love for spooky things such as vampires or ghosts. They often bond over each others interests. His father owns a haunted house event.

Ronald is a troublesome, and mischievous young man. Even at 22 years old, he’s still considered immature and emotionally unintelligent. He’s always playing pranks on his siblings, and making fun of them, along with his twin sister Anita. The two often make fun of the rest because he considered them to not be their real siblings, since they don’t have the same dad. Like he doesn’t respect them or see them as apart of the family, even if they have the same mother. Not to mention he and Anita are fully Korean because their father was. His usual targets are Olaf and Ammie, since they’re pretty shy. Despite his sadistic tendencies, he does seem to care for people, and feels bad whenever he goes too far. He is the meaner one out of him and his twin sister, often being annoyed when she’s “too soft.” He is very close to Anita, and thinks of her as his only “real” sibling. He’s a theatre kid, into plays, and has a deep hyper-fixation on vampires.

As the story progresses, Ronnie is meant to become more empathetic and thoughtful. He still is a little annoying and whiny, but he’ll be less aggressive and less of a bully. Maybe just a tease though. He doesn’t really bother Noëlle, his baby sister, because he’s not that cruel to try and scare a baby.

While we see more of “nicer” Ronnie, the others in his family still expect him to be nicer. He doesn’t have enough motivation, until he finally meets someone. 

Her name is “Elanor” a worker who plays as a vampire in a popular haunted house in Amitham. She was the one who made Ronald soften up a bit, and actually want to be a better person. Not to mention they have the same special interest. Another person who made him regret his actions is his mother, Kayoko Coffin. While he resents his step-father, he’s learned to stop being so mean to him, seeing how much it hurt his mother. Ronnie couldn’t imagine one of his family members hating Elanor, someone he loved.

Anita is a cunning, yet chill girl. She’s always pranking her siblings and scaring them along with her twin brother. The two of them are kind of annoying, but Anita doesn’t always straight up bother people with malicious intent, but rather in an affectionate way. 

Anita doesn’t usually speak about it, but she’s into different creatures rather than vampires like her brother. She likes mermaids, sirens, and dragons. She never wants to go too far with a prank or a joke, and is quite uncomfortable making an inappropriate or offensive joke about someone. She mainly targets Olaf, and not Ammie in particular since she’s a kid, and Anita has a belief that Olaf needs to be less soft, not knowing that in reality, he’s really gentle and kind, and can be brave instead of a mewling wimp that she thinks he is. Anita has never gotten to know her younger half-siblings, so she has these versions of them in her mind that happens to be stereotypical and mean. 

Even if she does think Olaf is a wimp, she does root for him and his relationship with Ellabelle. Anita has known the girl since she was little, since Olaf used to bring her around. She can’t call her a friend, since Ellabelle was annoyed by her and her brother, and didn’t want anything to do with them, but she always thought Ellabelle had a “thing” for Olaf. Now… not so much. Anita thinks he’s just her friend now, because Ellabelle is too comfortable around Olaf, even calling him “friend” most of the time. Either way, she hopes Olaf can be happy.

Anita doesn’t hate her step-father Boris, but isn’t a big fan of him. Anita feels like Boris had babied all of the kids he’s had with her mother. Anita doesn’t accept help from him, never hugs him or wants to spend time with him or be around him. She also considers her other siblings to be “half-siblings,” though she doesn’t say it out loud. She just calls them “siblings.”

Caesar Coffin is 16 years old, and Russian-Korean. He doesn’t like being bothered, and is mostly alone in his treehouse, reading. He hates being pranked by Ronald and Anita, and is more comfortable being around Olaf, Ammie, and Noëlle. 

He doesn’t consider his family to be “rich” just well off. He has a soft spot for his mother, and often ends up talking like her, even inheriting her accent  since he loved listening to her talk. He’s close with his father as well, and is sad and upset that he has to work for so long. He refuses to call his parents “mom and dad” unless he’s really feeling hurt. He usually calls them “mother” and “father.”

Caesar is multilingual, and loves learning new things about cultures and languages. So far, the languages he knows how to speak are Korean (first language), Russian (from his father) English (from his mother who happened to speak English, and some from his dad) Portuguese, Mandarin, & Japanese. 

He is very exited to be neighbors with Kellen Price. The Kellen Price. He’s loved his books for a long time, but he’s still too shy to actually speak to him. He hopes one day he’ll bump into Kellen so he could tell him how much his books mean to him. He still thinks that his daughter is a pain though.

Noëlle is a 4 month old baby. She is very full of energy, and very loud. She gives her parent a hard time because it’s hard to get her to fall asleep. Even if she can’t talk yet, she’s still very full of love for her family!

Dresden Barnes is a very quiet, but caring man. He appears to be stoic, and seems closed off, maybe even like an angry person. Despite being very quiet, he gives good advice to those who need it. While he doesn’t show it with words, Dresden loves his wife, and considers physical touch and acts of service to be his love language. Not like he’s thought much about it. Dresden loves his children, and wishes the best for them. He’s very serious about farm work, and working on the farm.

Georgia Barnes is a friendly woman, and very energetic for a 39 year old. She’s very happy and enthusiastic. She’s also a very nostalgic person, often looking back on times such as when she first met her husband, Dresden, or when Ellabelle was just a baby. She looks after her family, and always tries to offer a helping hand for people in need. Even if she doesn’t have much to give, she’ll try her best to find something. Originally, she didn’t used to own a carrot farm, but instead an orange farm. When she married Dresden, she started to help out around his farm.

Kayoko Coffin is a kind woman. She works as a therapist, and has had this job since Ronald and Anita were born. Her ex-husband had died when the twins were 2. He was always negative, and didn’t wish the best for Kayoko or the kids at all. Whenever she was at work, he wouldn’t change the kids, bathe them, or even feed them, often leaving them crying and wouldn’t do anything to help. On the twins birthday, their father died in a car crash. She met Boris around the time the twins next birthday came around, when she was taking them to the dentists for the first time. 

Ronald was terrified, because he was paranoid about everything having teeth, even chairs, food, and sometimes people. Kayoko found it endearing how gentle Boris was with the twins. About 9 months later, they began seeing each other, and got married a year later. 

Kayoko has been upset with how the twins have been treating their younger siblings, but Ronald’s behavior specifically stands out to her, because he’s just outright mean sometimes. She worries about all of her kids struggles, Ronald going to far with being mean, Anita being snarky and always having something to say, Olaf being afraid to be open about his feelings, Caesar being isolated all of the time, and Ammie being too afraid. She pushes them all to be better, and genuinely loves them all, no matter the father. 

One nickname she specifically gave Olaf is “My little phantom.” She gave all of the children nicknames, all different. She may look creepy to some, but she’s really nice to people, and actually cares for people. 

Boris had been particularly side-eyed for his last name. He doesn’t know why his family has this last name, and kind of wishes people didn’t see him as creepy because of it. Even if he doesn’t look creepy at first glance, suddenly, to most people he’d become creepy because of the last name. He’s kind of shy and awkward, although he is strict, especially when it comes to food. He doesn’t like his family eating junk food all day.

When Boris first met Kayoko, he had already thought she was gorgeous, but didn’t think he’d even see her again after this encounter. He also found her two children to be very cute, and figured she had a husband already since she had already had children, until she had mentioned her husbands death. He felt sorry for her, and sorry that the kids didn’t get to grow up with a father anymore. 

During the checkup, Kayoko had seemed interested in him. Especially with how kind he was and how he calmed down Ronald during his moment of panic, even giving him and his sister a toy and a Lolipop. He’s the one who even gave Ronald the nickname “Ronnie.” 

Now that Kayoko and Boris have had children together, he feels upset that Ronald and Anita aren’t close with him anymore. He wishes he could be home more often, but he has to work to provide for the family.

Kiera was a kind woman. She had a dream of wanting to see and explore the world, and another dream to make a family, and see her children grow old. Kiera wanted to be a better parent than her parents were, to make her child feel safe and welcomed. Being an Asian woman, it was hard to find a good job that took her seriously. No one really took her seriously. No one besides Kellen. She fell in love with Kellen for his personality, and around the time the two got married, she had gotten pregnant. But the pregnancy was eating her alive. She was throwing up so much and always sore. Always hurting. When it was her time came for her to give birth to her daughter, she died after losing too much blood. 

She will only be shown in flashbacks or a replay last moments (basically a flashback.)

Elanor Lake is a 22 year old woman working at her father’s haunted house event called “Nightmare Manor” as a character she’s been playing since she was child, named “Lilith.” When playing Lilith she was confident, and very happy. It helped her face some of her social anxiety when she was younger. She’s always been a bubbly, and very excitable person, especially when it came to her love for theatre. 

Now, she’s a bit of a flirt like her character Lilith is. She LOVES vampires, and loves studying them. She also likes werewolves, but for sure not as much. Elanor sometimes reads comic books with her brother, talking about their favorite characters. She’s not someone you’d consider mean, but instead welcoming. Elanor had a bit of crush on Ronald when she first met him, and almost broke character because of him. 

Elanor first met Ronald when him and his family were visiting the Nightmare Manor. When Elanor said something inaccurate, Ronald corrected her about something when she was playing Lilith. She had only done that as a test to see if any of the Coffin’s would see the mistake she made. This impressed her greatly.

As the story progresses, Elanor falls in love with Ronald, the two of them bonding over their love for vampires. 

Kellen Price is a kind, gentle, and emotional man. He’s 43, and used to be a tattoo artist before he met Kiera. After he married her, he stopped working as a tattoo artist, and finally took up his dream of being a book writer. He became very popular since then, which made him financially successful and even recognized by book readers and fans. Around the time he became successful, Kiera had died, and Kris had been born. He was devastated, but didn’t treat Kris badly because of it. Being a single parent is a challenging but educational experience in his eyes. 

One nickname Kellen almost ALWAYS calls Kris is Krissy. He doesn’t call her Kristina unless she’s in trouble. He doesn’t know about Kris’s bullying, but he’d have a long talk with her if he did know about it. Kellen tries his best to be a supportive father for Kris, but it’s hard with how she keeps pushing him away. He would never force her to do anything she didn’t want to. Kellen also seems to struggle with migraines and headaches, that he has to take pills for. In his free time, he sometimes draws. He used to draw with Kris often when she was younger, but now she didn’t seem to care enough to spend time with him. He isn’t interested in finding a partner either. He’s fine with his family the way it is now.
