Allways Station

Allways Station

Project Overview

Allways Station is an original fantasy comedy set in an interdimensional train station. Every day brings a new problem for its unusual staff: misplaced magical objects, unpredictable passengers, and trains that must somehow keep running through the chaos.

I’m Ramencow, the creator, writer, and character artist. I’m developing the story as a book and comic, and I’d love to explore animation with other creators. For now, I’m starting small: a short scene in which a courier delivers the wrong enchanted umbrella, sending water rushing upward through a station platform.

I’m looking to connect with people interested in helping bring this first scene to life, especially with storyboards, an animatic, animation, voices, or sound. I have the characters and scene written and am learning animation myself. I’ll share the scope and details for each role in its listing. If you enjoy character-driven comedy and strange little worlds, I’d love to hear from you!

I’m looking for an animator or animatic artist to help bring a short scene from Allways Station to life. It’s an original fantasy comedy set in an interdimensional train station.

For this first scene, Tilly accidentally delivers the wrong enchanted umbrella, causing water to rush upward through Platform Two. I’ve written the scene and designed the characters. I’d like to begin with a short animatic or a few seconds of 2D animation and agree on a manageable scope together.

This is an unpaid collaboration with credit. You may include your contribution in your portfolio. Please share a sample of your animation, storyboards, or animatics, and tell me what part you’d most like to help with. Beginners are welcome, and very much encouraged.

Tilly is an energetic courier at Allways Station, an interdimensional train station. She wants to do her job well, but she moves so fast that she sometimes makes mistakes. In this short scene, she grabs the wrong enchanted umbrella and delivers it to a wizard on Platform Two, where it sends water rushing upward.

I’m looking for a lively, expressive performance that can shift from hurried confidence to “oh no, what have I done?” Please share a short voice sample or audition using the lines below. This is an unpaid collaboration for a small scene, with credit for the finished work.

Allways Station has other characters who aren’t posted yet. If you’re interested in the project but Tilly isn’t the right fit for your voice, feel free to send a demo and tell me what kinds of roles you enjoy. I may have another character in mind.

  • "Oh no, I’m gonna miss it!"

  • “Wait. That’s not the right umbrella.”

  • " I am NOT a hazard!"

Arthur is the announcer at Allways Station, an interdimensional train station. He’s a cheeky, part-demon character who can sound perfectly composed over the station speakers even when everything around him is going wrong. He enjoys a little mischief, but his voice can also be genuinely calming when someone needs it.

I’m casting Arthur for a short scene involving an enchanted umbrella that sends water rushing upward on Platform Two. I’d love to hear both his playful announcer voice and his gentler side. This is an unpaid collaboration, with credit for the finished work.

  • “Attention, passengers. Platform Two is experiencing a slight change in weather”

  • “Eleanor, you can hoard the cursed doll later.”

  • “And remember, Allways Station is not responsible for lost, stolen, or eaten property.”

Benny looks like a little boy in an oversized bear hoodie, but he’s actually a retired vampire who’s been around for thousands of years. He spends time at Allways Station because staying home is boring. He’s observant, dryly funny, and very particular about how people describe him.

I’m casting Benny for a short scene involving an enchanted umbrella and an upside-down rainstorm. I’d love a performance that can sound small and unassuming one moment, think child like wonder, then unexpectedly ancient and dignified the next. This is an unpaid collaboration, with credit for the finished work.

  • “I prefer campfire enthusiast, thank you.”

  • “I have survived three collapsing empires. I can survive a little rain.”

  • “If I step into it, will I float? Or get stuck to the ceiling like gum?”

Keith runs Lost & Found at Allways Station. He’s a moth boy who takes his job seriously, despite announcing that he’s quitting nearly every day. He keeps careful records of impossible lost items and has learned to expect trouble whenever a routine delivery seems too easy.

For this short scene, Keith logs a wizard’s umbrella and asks Tilly to deliver it to Platform Two. I’m looking for a dry, weary voice with good comic timing—and a glimpse of how much he actually cares when things go wrong. This is an unpaid collaboration, with credit for the finished work.

  • “One black umbrella. Silver raincloud handle. Owner waiting on Platform Two.”

  • “I quit. Again. This time I mean it.”

  • “Tilly… which umbrella did you take?”
