Alien Animated Kids Cartoon Pilot

Project Overview

Do you like doing voices for cartoon projects similar to VeggieTales or Backyardagains? This intergalactic animated pilot centers around a cast of colorful, upbeat characters as they explore the governments of alien planets. The cast of four children encounter different situations around fundamental law they need to combat with knowledge developed throughout the series in a monster-of-the-week format. If you are passionate about private/natural rights and want to help educate kids on theirs, you are encouraged to apply!

This pilot is centered around the idea that "Not knowing the law is not an excuse to break it."

This project will also have musical-style singing roles with original music. Voice talents can apply for both the vocalist and voice positions for a specific character, or choose just one.

Plans for further development for the project may come to fruition, but at this time, the scope of the work remains only in the pilot. The pilot is 7 pages long, with an estimated run time of at most 12 minutes. Each character has about an average of 10 lines.

Talent is required to sign an NDA to work on this project.

    Hello everyone! Thank you for the SEVENTY auditions! I'm thrilled so many people see something in this project enough to apply, and I deeply appreciate all the time each of you have spent to send in your auditions.

    My musician, Carter, and I are taking the time to review each one thoroughly, so we unfortunately missed our deadline of today to complete our review. But! We will have an answer for everyone by the end of the week. Thanks for hanging in there! You should hear from us again soon!

    If you'd like to keep following this production, it will be mostly under lock and key by NDA until the pilot is officially released for free on Youtube.     Hello everyone!

    First, I can't believe the reception of this project so far with 30+ auditions! Thank you so much for your time and superb efforts!

    As you may know, the deadline for this project is July 30th. However, I will not be able to review the auditions until the week of August 10th. Myself and the other two team players on this very small project are quite busy tinkering away at this between our day jobs, but our goal is to have our talent selected by August 16th.

    Talent will be required to sign an NDA, and I will reach out both on CCC and on Discord.

A loud, expressive, and excited girl. Often finds herself knee deep in whatever topic they explore that day, asking a bazillion questions a minute. She will be the one to ask the challenging questions that help develop the viewer’s understanding. Although, she is quite obnoxious with how outspoken and inquisitive she can be sometimes. So much so a term has been coined for it. “Neverending Nevan-isms” are used to describe her bouts of endless questions and inquiries. Feel free to get creative with her attenuation and other vocal elements.

Alien boy that journeys with the human cast of characters. A bit air headed and direct, but well intentioned. Smaller than the rest of the cast usually, but can inflate and morph into different sizes if the situation calls for it. Likes to do impressions of people they meet. Has a voice that is a bit underdeveloped, and encouraged to add some weird or unique flare to it, as long as the dialogue is still fully audible.

A know-it-all girl that is almost too well-read. Doesn’t like to be proven wrong, and tries to debate at every chance she gets. While she is fiery, she only speaks when she feels she needs to and remains more of an observer. Often gets roped into antics against her better judgment, and expresses her love for her friends in atypical ways. Has a very strong sense of justice.

A soft, meek boy with a big heart. Often finds himself arguing on the side of the underdog, but believes too strongly in the good of others. Collects trinkets from each of their adventures to store on a shelf in the home base that serves as visual indicators for the progression of the show. Has a bit of an Indian drawl to his voice.
