Acting Up a Storm - A VA Series
Project Overview
Acting Up a Storm is a love story between the two protagonists, Gray and Quinn. Both of them love acting and are really good at it. Although they share a similar interest, their lives are polar opposites. While Quinn has a great family, a lot of money, and is successful, Gray's dad left when he was only 5, his mom is sick and he doesn't have much money to go off of.
Back in high school, Quinn and her friends were bullied by Gray's group. Unluckily for Gray, he bumps into Quinn when he gets a promotion at work and is forced to work for her. What will happen when their lives intertwine again? Will they become friends or stay forever enemies. That's for you to find out.
Expectations -
1. You must have some experience voice acting. It doesn't have to be professionally but I expect at least one other project of experience.
2. Try to have good audio quality. This includes a microphone, minimal background noise, and clear audio. I've had past experiences with quiet or muffled audio and it is not very pleasant.
3. You have to have discord and your tag in your audition so I can contact you. If you don't have discord, then there's no way I can add you into the team. Make sure to have your tag in the description of your audition.
4. Try your best to be a compatible worker. I find it better working together if we all can become friends and are comfortable with each other.
5. This goes along with four, try to keep up with announcements and make friends with me and the other VAs.
6. Don't stress too much about the project, just try to have fun with it. It's nothing serious, just a fun little project.
7. This is a 12+ project, meaning don't audition for a role unless you are at least 12, no younger.
Work Flow -
Normally, I will expect lines to be due in about 10-15 days depending on the length of the episode. If you're busy or know you will be, tell me in advance so we can work something out. Although I can be flexible, I do expect most lines to be in within the due date. I am currently working on another VA project(that has not been published, but is going smoothly.)and this is our workflow.
Week 1 - Script writing and sharing
Week 2 and 3 - Recording Lines
Week 4 - Animating, Editing, and Publishing
Animation will take a while, and I do have school, which means it may take up to three weeks after you send in your lines to finish it. This will be either rigged or tweened with Gacha Club, so if you hate gacha content you can close this project and leave it alone.

Gray is a pretty easy going down-to-earth type of guy. He isn't the brightest but when he needs something he is determined to get it. Gray loves acting, helping others, and binging shows on Netflix. He's pretty much the definition of bad luck, being clumsy, having family problems, and a lot more. Although he has a bunch of inconveniences in his life, he still gets through it and is overall a pretty great guy to be around.
Am I supposed to know you or something?
What?! No way, nope, nu uh. There's no way in hell I'm going onto that stage.

Quinn is a spunky, mildly violent, fun person. She can be very aggressive, but is a nice person in general. She is quite a mood swinger and is pretty agile, unlike clumsy Gray. She loves spending time with her family, cooking with her mother, and of course, acting. She also does Jujitsu and Karate in her free time.
Gray?! What the hell are you doing here???

Calm, nice, loud mouthed. Best friends with Connor and Gray. She loves designing and playing the piano.

Supportive. Connor is best friends with Jin and Gray. He is a very supportive and caring friend.

Arrogant, cocky, rude, and overdramatic. He loves to pick on people like Gray and is essentially talentless. His father is really rich and always buys him into roles.
Pu-lease. I'm always prepared. Now hurry along and don't bother me.

Rational, calm, monotone. She is a pretty calm and chill girl. Not much emotion is shown by her, but she really loves people close to her.
You know, maybe you should give him a chance. It's been 3 years, he definitely could've changed.

Kind hearted, secretive, overworked. Linda is Gray's mother, who suffers from health problems and problems with another family.

Funny, bratty, energetic. Am(pronounced as Em)is Gray's very ice cream fueled sister. It's pretty much all she talks about.
Gray! Guess what, mommy says I can't have ice cream for dinner, but you'll let my, won't you?
If you don't get me ice cream, I'm not helping.
Nice, stubborn. Sean is Quinn's dad. He is a nice person, but because of his work he is forced into bad situations.
Quinn has never been very good at making friends. She's never been a social type. I'm glad she feels comfortable with you. It's nice to see her hanging out with someone other than Lilac all the time,
Gentle, timid, loving. Kya is Quinn's mother. She cares a lot about her family and loves to cook.

Jenny is Am's best friend. She doesn't make too many appearances, but is still a good character in the series.

Dr. Jenkins is Linda's brother/sister(TBD). He/she is a doctor at their local hospital and is very close with Gray.
Good news! Your mother is back in good health. Just make sure to monitor her.
