A young CSI. Nancy Hill is incredibly intelligent and fiercely sharp, but isn’t quite able to comprehend that some people in the police force are higher up in the pecking order and are in charge of her. She sometimes comes off to her colleagues, unintentionally, as entitled, sarcastic, witty and on occasion even condescending. Despite this, everyone relies on her immense intellect and unique way of thinking to solve crimes.

  • (impatient, condescending, rhetorical question) “Can you be quiet please? I find it easier to work when people are quiet.”

  • (annoyed that she’s been interrupted and had her words misunderstood) “I didn’t say that. I said that the culprit had to have made the call before they committed the crime.”

  • (frustrated, the reason is obvious to her, rhetorical question) “Look at the body. Does that look like a body that died more than an hour ago to you?”
