Project Overview

A Fiery Love That Wasn't Supposed To Happen is a Canon X OC fanfiction for Zenless Zone Zero. Ethan Grey convinces himself that he's just a 'background character', but when he meets Soldier 11, his view is derailed by the label he called himself before.


This project is basically a comic dub (with my drawing style) of my canon x oc I did on AO3 and Wattpad. If you're interested in it, go read it!

HISTORY IS MADE FOR RTG901: This is the first project Rycethegamer901 will have more than one person working on! So be part of the RTG901 history!


Rules:

  • Application: You can apply for more than one role (if it fits your voice), but if you're selected, you only get one role to voice act. As you can see, the deadline is 11 October 2026, 6:00 PM (NZDT), so of course apply your voice auditions before this date and time. If you're selected, you might be used again for the next chapters, but it is 100% optional.

  • Communication: If you are selected for these roles, I highly recommend that you use Discord, as I will send you my Discord server to communicate. If you don't have Discord, that's okay! You can contact me via DMs for CCC.

  • Crediting Standards: You can use anonymous usernames, but not titles or placeholder names, as I require the selected roles to state their primary username on social media. This is because I hold strict crediting standards, so every single voice actor, even one-off liners, will be credited in the final cut.

    Hello everyone!

    Thank you for everyone who submitted their auditions in the past two weeks. I am happy to announce the three people who are selected for their submission. Here it is!

    As this production now has voice actors, I am now implementing an Automatic Selection Rule strictly for one specific role listed.

    If this role roles receive only one submission by the deadline listed, that voice actor will be automatically selected so we can lock in with the rest of the cast for the production.

  • Extension Deadline Confirmed and Selection Process Update

    Hello everyone!

    Thank you for everyone who submitted their auditions for the first week. It has been confirmed that the new deadline schedule is now 4 October 2026 at 6:00 PM NZDT.

    As we are closer to the start of production, as I feel like I wanna start drawing and put some audio into this project, I am implementing an Automatic Selection Rule strictly for the first three roles listed during the first week.
    Roles affected:

    1. Ethan Grey (Main Character)

    2. Archie Grey-Lawson (Main Antagonist)

    If any of these specific roles receive only one submission by the deadline listed, that voice actor will be automatically selected so we can lock in Chapter 1 production.

    The rest of the roles not listed in the roles affected list will be completely unaffected until further notice.
