Project Overview

Golden kamuy is an amazing  manga by satoru noda, in the early 20th century, russo japanese war veteran saichi sugimoto (also know as immortal sugimoto) is trying to find gold to get his dead friends wife to an american doctor. Saichi eventually is told the tale of escaped prisoners all with tattoos, that when combined, form a map to a hidden stash of stolen ainu gold, he later meets asirpa who agrees to accompany him in finding the prisoners so that she may find the man who killed her father. They also meet shiraishi  who is one of the escaped prisoners, but wants a cut of the gold. Together the three will make allies and enemies on their journey to get the gold, such as the 7th division of the japanese military, and toshizo hijikata, the former vice commander of the shinsengumi.   • Final update.

    Today is the day I have to be closing this castingcall. So I've cast most of the roles i've have auditions for. And i'm gonna make another casting call in the future, after I realease another castingcall for a different project a plan to do along the jojo one. It will be for the all the characters who didnt get auditions. As I wasn't able to extend the length any further. Thank you to everyone who tried out, and those who spread this around i'm very grateful, and am excited to work with you.

    I finally have the voice actors I need to produce the first episode of the series. A problem however is, I can no longer change the deadline, and I still don't have enough auditions for everyone. So sadly it seems that what I would be forced to do. Is to cast most of what I have, and make a new Golden Kamuy castingcall at a later date. If you wanna audition for anyone else. I suggest doing it now. As the deadline is march 20th. But the good news again, is that we can finally produce the first episode.

Asirpa is ainu girl who acts as the guide and bodyguard of saichi sugimoto, she accompanies saichi so the two can find all of the tattooed runaway prisoners, she does this because the man who tattooed all of the prisoners had possibly murdered her father, she finds an odd friendship with him, and forces him to eat the gross parts of animals she hunts, she's also convinced miso is poop, and constantly jokes about it. She is friends with a wolf who she treats like an older brother, she is very serious and very stern. she has a blank expression on her face usually.

She acts very cold, and says things very bluntly, but when she's making fun of sugimoto she has a grumpy tone or a " Oh you." kind of tone. She rarely ever sounds really angry and when she does it's usually in pout grumpy kind of way.

  • (Serious) Be careful, there are ainu traps spread everywhere for hunting, if you get shot with this arrow, you'll die from the poison. SUGIMOTO. OUR DEAL IS OFF IF YOU KILL HIM.  Retar, help me find sugimoto! This bear has eaten a human, it's now a wen kamuy (evil kamuy)

  • (funnier lines) Ewwww Sugimoto is eating poop again. Silly sugimoto, you can't eat an owl. Here sugimoto hold this, don't eat them, they arent the type of poop you can eat.

Shirashi is one of the escaped tattooed prisoners, he has a talent of dislocating his joints to escape prisons, he can escape nearly anything, he also keeps certain items hidden in his mouth tied with horse hair, like a small razor and a bullet. He's kind of  the comic relief as he kinda gets his head bitten by everything, and he's always being insulted by asirpa for appearing to be useless in hunting, but useful in fights.


He sounds like a surfer dude, or sometimes sounds stoned, he has this expression he always makes that gives that feeling off.

Kiroranke is an ainu friend to asirpas dad, he's also a former solider of the 7th division, he later joins asirpa and saichis group, helping them to find more prisoners, he's great with animals and he's very skilled, but he's a little simple, a little like an amish man. Tanigaki is a 7th division soilder is on all sides, he's a matagi, so he has hunting in his blood, he's greaful to the ainu and sugimotos crew for saving his life. He lost his sister to her husband and sought revenge, till he learned the truth behind it. He's very tough and very firm.

Hyakunosuke is a sniper that was sent by the 7th division to attempt to kill the prisoners and obtain their tattoos, but encountered sugimoto and was accidentally knocked out and fell into a river, where he was later hospitalized, he later recovers and becomes an ally to sugimoto and asirpas crew, as well as hanazawas, he acts very polite, but some times has a smug attitude. He is an amazing sniper.  


He has a sort of soft voice, it sounds very calm.

Lieutenant tsurumi, is the main antagonist of golden kamuy, he's very ruthless and very quick to anger, this is because during the war between russia and japan, he was hit in the head with shrapnel and is now missing a little bit of his brain. He is very cold, he doesnt show any emotion in his voice, he says everything straight, except when he yells orders. His voice is a lot like skull faces from MGSV the phantom pain i imagine, so if you audition please try to replicate that, though you may try an original twist on it.

Hijikata is the former vice general of shinsengumi, he is a spry old man, much more alive then you'd think, he is smart in how he decides not to kill the other inmates, he wants to find the gold and resurrect the shinsengumi. He is very snarky, very lively, and very tactical.


DOESNT HAVE A STEREOTYPICAL JAPANESE ACCENT, OR OLD MAN VOICE. I imagine he has a slight lisp when saying things, like how sean connery speaks.

They sound rather average, and kouhei once he goes crazy, so sounds kind of tweakish.
