About Matt Weight

I've been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years after graduating from Boston University's School of Theatre Arts and the London Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). In that time I've been on both sides of the camera and the voice booth- having worked on commercials, videogames, audiobooks, movies, television, Reality singing competitions (seriously!), and so on et cetera ad Infinitum. Voice-over is my happy place and my passion. I've had enough good fortune in the industry to allow me to build out my own studio and so if I can work without having to leave the house, then that's pretty awesome. I grew up in Europe and Australia and have been mimicking voices since I was a kid so there are a lot of accents floating around in my head.

I referred Matt to friends and colleagues for voice over work and have always gotten glowing reviews. He's also just a really nice guy.

Matt Voiced In a Super Mario Bros Project WIth Me and a Few Va's as Bowser and He Did Amazing! His Sinister Tone When Voicing Bowser Was Incredible and Was The Icing on The Cake For This Dub, Definitely Recommend Him For Any Project You Feel He Would Fit in!

It is said that good wine needs no bush.

In my case, I discovered the man's voice before I even took the time to look at his past works–but it does not surprise me in the least that he has a record of appearing in television and in video games as well.

I'm honoured that Matt Weight could find the time–despite having what must be a crowded schedule–to take part in my fandubbing project. He has a terrific voice; one well suited to a serious character who doesn't mess around–like a police officer or a military commander. And as he has been in the acting business for 15 years now, he actually has his own IMDB page.

He can deliver lines with so much authority and gravitas; he could probably convince a police officer to put their hands behind his head, and lie flat on the ground during a routine traffic stop.
I cast him as Wiegraf–the revolutionary soldier, in my fan dub of Final Fantasy Tactics, and he surpassed my expectations before I even knew what they were.

I hope Christian Bale doesn't suffer from a heart attack or die unexpectedly, because if they're looking for someone to take his place in the next Batman movie...he is indeed a contender.

Matt played a general in my project who also serves as a mentor to several young characters, and he captured all sides of the character so well.  I was really able to hear both his soldier side and his caring mentor side.  He was also very flexible for when I needed lines and retakes months apart and was always willing to do whatever it took to make sure that his lines fit with my vision!
